DS>>>>>>>>>N64.
DS>>>>>>>>>N64
this would be objectively correct if it was originally on a console/handheld with a proper control stick
This has been the worst opinion in the history of opinions, maybe ever
>b-b-b-but m-muh control stic-
DS is better simple because L snaps the camera behind your character. The camera in 64 sucks dick because it's missing that simple thing
I really like both.
DS is better only because it has Wario, Luigi and the Minigames
if the control is that big an issue for you play on 3DS
Mods can't even fix that garbage movement. Should have had a 3DS rerelease.
The 3DS analog doesn't magically cure the game of the 8 direction movement system.
Thanks for the input King K, you stupid zoomer faggot.
so which youtuber recently made a video about this and now all you zoomers are reviving the conversation
>digital movement (or awful touch screen controls) for a game originally designed around analog movement
>Wario is useless, Luigi completely breaks the game
>New levels and stars are mostly pretty lacking
>You can't mess with Mario's model on the main menu, only a drawing
>Barebones multiplayer
The ONLY thing DS had going for it is the minigames, which were admittedly pretty based.
I never had any problem controlling the characters in DS, many years of experience in 64 helped me overcome the limitations. It was very nice seeing all the adjustments they did to the models and textures, spent hours comparing them side by side and wondering what was the purpose of the modifications, really good times.
Man, those minigames were fun. Its a real shame the only other Mario game to feature minigames like that was the original NSMB.
>worse artstyle
>killed momentum
>no analog stick
>terrible controls
>unnecessary padding
>gimped the movement
>ugly, unfitlered texures
>gimmicky character switching
>Wario is a slow pain to control
>arbitrarily split Mario's abilities among multiple characters
>Yoshi's gimmick is mostly to just transform into other characters
>makes them all feel severely limited except the one that trivializes all jumps in the entire game
>minigame and scavenger hunts where the locations of stars are revealed by the map!
>casual safety net added to tik tok clock so dumb children don't fall to their death in what's meant to be one of the hardest levels
>new stars are either forced character swap bullshit or uninspired like get the 5 red coins except they're stars now
>Luigi is slippery as usual
>instead of making it so you want to use the other characters because they are as fun or more fun than Mario to control, certain stars are locked behind them, even ones that Mario had absolutely no problem getting by himself
>switching characters is done by leaving the level you're in, going to a room in the castle, walking through the door, waiting for a second, then travelling back to the level you wanted to be in
>stupid minigame rabbits litter the castle even after you've caught them once
imagine if they held off on this and made it for 3ds instead
Better yet, for the Switch.
>sonic is an evolved skeeter
DEEPEST
They did, it's called Odyssey.
64 is better because the controls work, no run button or corny graphics. Sorry zoomer
>that metalic texture
Absolute kino
Nah, Odyssey is its own thing, I really want to see another take on SM64.
I had this forever ago, someone remind me about the minigames? I may dust it off
luigi has a casino
>Regurgitating some faggot youtuber 100% verbatim
kys
>Hazy Maze Cave
You mean Daisy’s Chamber Pot?
Stay mad zoomer.
