>instead we're stuck with folded mirrion times sword boi all game and have to just watch all these other diverse weapons and skillsets

It's not fair bros

seven gorrilion folded steal>>>wood
sorry bro

Anyone got that same pic but without the sekiro logo?

>Miyazaki finally makes a game with a world and supporting character worth caring about.
>Introduce Dragonrot mechanic around death

Fuck me bros. I'm not ready to bring the apocalypse.

This is the biggest offender. This could have been Japan Souls that everyone and their mom wanted, instead it's 1 weapon no gear snorefest.
Everybody who keeps saying he will spend hundreds of hours into Sekiro, is a massive liar.
Can't wait for every Soulsfag streamer doing no leveling run and than starts seating, because there is nothing left to do.

How does the big naginata work, only for executions?

What do you mean?

How in the holy hell can someone actual first thought when it comes to seeing a new game be about how much e celeb streamers are going to play it?

back to you reddit hole please.

Attached: BEGONE.png (1084x962, 1.83M)

He carries a larger katana on his back, I didn't want to watch all the streams but last we saw I think it was only used to do visceral attacks or maybe executions.

Ah ok. I was confused because a Naginata is the weapon that boss uses.
And yes, you are right. His second Katana is only used for special attacks, probably has a bigger lore point down the story, but you can't use it as a second weapon.

>that dual bladed staff user
>nigga like a flying praying mantis
>hella anime
>hella visceral
fuck man i wish we could have that weapon/move set in game
RIP customization
at least the prosthetic stuff looks fantastic

Attached: 70831931_p0.png (1102x1496, 1.76M)

from what i saw it's sometimes used to kill/visceral attack bosses, specifically saw it in use on that monk boss

they've already shown you can use a spear from your arm thing there will be plenty of variety they are obviously building off bloodbornes trick weapons that everyone loved

The trophy list has leaked. These are the trophies:

Cool, hope you can upgrade it.

>ninjutsu only run
>prosthetic only run
>samurai only run
>stealth run
>nuclear run
>no level up run
>no death run
>no damage run
>full dragonrot run
>no dragonrot run(same as no death i guess)
and that doesn't count speed runs of any% or 100%
should keep us occupied a few hunna hours or at least 100

Attached: la boblina entrance.webm (1280x720, 2.99M)

That spear is the same as the axe, it's a tool that needs "ammo" and can only do 1 attack each time.
Stop trying to sugar coat it. Your R1 button will ALWAYS have the same katana applied to it.

>Your R1 button will ALWAYS have the same katana applied to it.
What is the problem with this? I mean do you need every game you play to have multiple weapon choices for it to hold your attention?

I'm just going to dump my collection of the item descriptions, skills, etc. I think it's more or less a complete collection of the stuff that's not under embargo.

Attached: A Sculptor's Karma.jpg (619x761, 98K)

Looks like 11 main bosses... some are listed twice with a slightly different name though, maybe there's Iudex Gundyr -> Champion Gundyr situations. I didn't count those but maybe I should have.

Attached: sekiro4.jpg (1200x675, 186K)

>boss time
>alright
>shit yeah let's do this
>hit boss
>inch his health down
>oh lmao it doesn't matter if his health is 0 you have to do a death blow
so it's pointless to even try to actually fight bosses, you should just run away and parry them? That's fucking stupid. A death blow will always start a new bar too. man that's fucking retarded.

Attached: A Shinobi's Karma.jpg (620x763, 115K)

Regular enemies flat out die when their HP reaches zero, and I am sure there's no way you can make a boss reach 0 HP without getting their posture up in the first place since they take posture damage from regular attacks too.

>Get a ninja action game this year
>Get a proper samurai RPG later
>Sonyfags get a samurai movie game

This truly is the year of the weaboo.

Attached: tea time.jpg (1284x713, 206K)

I have some questions about the game that I can't discern from watching gameplay footage:

1) Can all enemy attacks be guarded/deflected if there is no red unblockable indicator before the attack?

2)Is blocking/deflecting instantaneous on button press or is there some kind of startup similar to the parry animation in Dark Souls?

3)What happens to the player once their pose gauge is filled?

I've seen at least 6 videos where people get the bosses health to 0 and their posture isn't there, because bosses have posture recovering moves. Why even have the health at all at that point?

player gets staggered like in a souls game if their posture fills up. I don't THINK it's an instant death if an enemy uses it against you, but it very well might be.

i am going to be so pissed if i cant customize my character.

im so hype bros. this is probably the least ive spoiled myself before a Fromsoft game release. ive only watched the early trailers and some gamescom footage from last year

its a set protagonist

>Small indie dev team manages to make a real breathing open world
>Square enix with their gorillions of dollars can't even make XV's world 1/10th as good.

God I love Miyazaki, Also I'm really hoping stealth isn't the only way to go for preventing dragonrot. I don't wanna kill my npcs.

>Small indie dev team manages to make a real breathing open world
From is not an indie studio you fucking retard

Bronze - Great Colored Car - Defeated the "Great Colored Carp"
Battle in the water?

>From
>indie
and
>real, breathing open world
whats exactly real and breathing about it? the game's gonna be good but its not a dynamic rpg like the original fallouts or something

I can't wait to play it but it seems like nobody is talking about it. Were people really that put off by it not being Bloodborne 2? I remember it being talked about for months after the VGA trailer and almost nothing after the e3 trailer

thanks user these are neat

>From has as much resources as multi gorillion dollar square enix.

OH NONONONO

Sekiro has Activision money behind it dumbass.

Come on son.

>pastebin.com/SVgqJWHE

Except we've already seen that while there may be fewer true bosses, there are tons of unique minibosses all over the place.

How autistic do you have to be to think "press button to pick up item" makes a game shitty?

i want ako to sit on my face

It’s because it tells you how to pick stuff up. Soulsfags think they are smart because they can push the circle button without being told.

Attached: Antidote Powder.jpg (907x556, 99K)

>Activision
>Money

Pick one, keep in mind even DS2 has more depth to it than XV that includes the combat. It's just funny to me how companies with less resources can pump out such high quality games compared to square.

Persona 5
MHW
Nioh
The Witcher 3
DMC 5
That one chink game made by 5 people
Xenoblade Chronicles 1
Fucking even Xenogears.

Because enemies drop currency and items?

Just like in souls games? Except that in souls games you have to run to every body and press a button on each one while in this you can just press one button and loot everyone around you.

Wow, how terrible.

It's already been confirmed you can swim so probably

already looks better than Nioh.

What does the little Y Button prompt do when pressed on this screen?

Sekiro needs multiplayer. Single player bad.

Attached: 1540519187492.jpg (636x773, 32K)

First, you're actually wrong about that. In the released gameplay we can see people doing multiple combo'd axe swings with only the first swing costing ammo. Lobo talked about how the upgrade trees for each prosthetic are huge and have lots of variety, so chances are that as you upgrade things like the axe or spear they gain combos or different kinds of attacks.

It flips to the second page of the skill description, which just tells you which button its mapped to.

Attached: Chasing Slice.jpg (642x781, 87K)

is it just me or is 11 a little small? I guess there are mini-bosses too

It's not like that matters all that much since we're gonna be focusing on blocking/parrying and then deathblowing every boss and big enemy

Attached: Consecutive Wall Jump.jpg (468x240, 17K)

I WARNED YOU MIYAZAKI NO FUCKING POISON SWAMPS!

how long will it be? I hope it’s at least the length of vanilla Bloodborne.

Attached: Divine Confetti.jpg (723x675, 89K)

Even just in the areas they've demo'd we've seen at least like 3-4 unique minibosses, all of which were pretty damn tough according to streamers. I'm gonna guess the game only has achievements for the big, unavoidable, story bosses.

Seeing how there's only 1 in Bloodborne I suspect we'll only have 1 at max here too.
We've seen bosses cause poison though so there might not even be a swamp

yes!

Attached: Divine Grass.jpg (726x756, 93K)

You could make that exact same argument about parrying in any souls game.

yeah im still hopeful
how many bosses did the other souls games have? i feel like bloodborne had around 11 or so didnt it

Not looking good.

>seeing a new game be about how much e celeb streamers are going to play it?
Unironically based. These are the people that make threads about "lol no video games to play"
They don't actually like playing video games. They enjoy being apart of "hip internet culture"

Attached: 1552050433770.jpg (513x508, 157K)

I don't know off the top of my head, but sheer numbers aren't really a good metric. DS2 had a fuck ton of bosses and the majority of the were garbage.

Better to get a handful of good bosses than a million lack luster ones. Kind of like the BB approach to weapons.

Attached: Dragon's Blood Droplet.jpg (656x671, 111K)

>im a soulsfag
Opinion discarded.

Attached: Emma's Medicine Potency.jpg (621x759, 92K)

This, unironically. Multiplayer simply makes games better. Singleplayer is boring and empty. Even if it's just bloodstains.

Suck my catclock, douchbag.

Attached: Fang and Blade.jpg (621x768, 73K)

>Focus on parrying
Not really. The game rewards parrying but so do all the souls games.

>Assassin creed style kills
Stealth kills and plunging attacks are not assassin's creed originals. Please see Tenchu.

>no iframe dodging
Yes there is? Did you even look up any info on this? Its even on the same button as a souls game.

>activision not sending out review copies
Dunno.

>Mine the ore

Probably will be a mining area with poison seeping out.

Nioh has a set character as well, but there is a ton of customization possible. From weapons to clothing and his hairstyles and facial hair.

Sekiro Snoop when?

We're getting Nioh 2 for that.

Attached: 50890200_p0.png (1200x1785, 2.78M)

It's going to be from software's best game

Attached: First Prayer Necklace.jpg (914x680, 154K)

this is not a soulsfag thread begone

Demon’s Souls had 21, BB 17, DaS 1 had 22, DaS 2 had 31, DaS 3 had 19.

All numbers without dlcs or chalice dungeons.

Makes sense that Sekiro has fewer bosses, since it’s not a sprawling rpg, it’s an action game like a DMC or Ninja Gaiden.

You can even make yourself look like a different character eventually.

No. Fuck off.

>Activision not sending out review copies

They gave them to actual influential people in the community, like vaati instead of some random ign faggot.

It's a trend other developers should do, I know the ffxiv guys are flying out community leaders to the japan fanfest, which is good.

Fuck journalist honestly.

I'm going to create the sluttiest oni ever!

Attached: Fistful of Ash.jpg (722x678, 78K)

By that I meant I want this game to be good.

Also makes sense if they're focusing more on lots of minibosses or bosses without trophies for beating them.

God I hope I can give my character a hime cut.

That drunken big guy is not considered a boss, right? He would definitely be considered one in a Souls-like game, so you might be correct.

I wonder if there'll be a red tearstone equivalent here since you can pretty much one shot most things thus far

Attached: Floating Passage Text.jpg (722x760, 106K)

I need this to happen, but they’ll never do it because the eit increases sales for most games.

What a dumb question. Yes people like having options.

Yes, but only on certain enemies at specific times. You can't just grab and juggle enemies like Nero in DMC.

Of course it'd be hard as balls to get, but still.

Dragon Quest 11 is better than all those games you listed. Also Nioh is objectively terrible

Any guesses?

This is 80% of the reason why I played of Bloodborne and Dark Souls. Guess this was a lesson learnt: never base preorder off of the merit of developers.

I can still get my money back from GameStop, right?

Every dark souls game just let you sprint to the boss too.

>90% of the enemies are dudes in japanese armor (i.e. not aesthetically superior western armor)
first, thats not true. Second, we've only seen a very small amount of the game. People bitched about how BB was all dudes and wolves before the game came out.

Oh yeah, I forgot DQ 11, been meaning to pick that shit up.

What do you want as dlc

Is there a confirmed english dub, the story trailer was dubbed but the recent demo that youtubers played wasn't even though not everyone played it in Japan

I'd hope for no DLC, but if the game doesn't have enough, maybe something more oriented around japanese mythology and fables.

options? lets go over those specifically for ds3

>the correct option; straight sword, axe, mace, spear, curved sword

>the incorrect option; great hammer, great axe, greatsword, ultra greatsword, halberd, curved greatsword, greatbow

>the dumb meme option; whip, dagger, fist, scythe, piercing sword, katana, claw, pike

>the worthless option; shield, catalyst, talisman, pyromancy flame, bow, crossbow

and then of course you have the objective best member of every family. such as lothric knight sword for straight swords or the great club for great hammers.

there is literally a skill tree

>no builds!

There is absolutely nothing emasculating about wanting to change certain aspects of your characters appearance. There many elements in video game that appeals to an individual, while customization may not be yours, it most certainly is mine.

When you die a lot, NPCs get sick. It can potentially kill merchants, and probably has an impact on which ending you get.

please dont tell me people actually enjoyed the new God of War game

>You lose half of everything now instead of having to go back, and get your bloodstain.

Hype!

Right let's just ignore all the massive build variety Sekiro has, huh?

>NPCs get sick. It can potentially kill merchant
>I'm a shitter
Welp, I know which ending I'm getting first.

I did

It's a Spaniard judging by his helmet and cuirass.

I believe it does, but a lot of attacks have really good tracking now.
Skiro is really more about finding the right counter for every situation, rather than simply timing your dodges.

Attached: Poison.jpg (829x300, 55K)

I get wishing the game had the same weapon variatey as dark souls but to suggest not having it is some kind of death blow to the game is silly, bloodbourne already proved you dont need a massive item pool to make a compelling game like this, it's got some new shit and the movement mechanics look fun and fresh.
This one also looks like it has some really compelling story and characters and etc
There was more to dark souls than its weapon variety, ds3 was p much an r1 spam fest anyway so balancing around a few weapons instead makes for an easier time for the devs to focus on other shit.
I like it cause it means there's less chance of meme crutch builds becoming a thing.

Very interesting

By that logic ds1 only has 6 bosses and the switch port has 0 bosses

isn't the trophy list the only leak we've gotten?

Do review copies increase sales or decrease them? Does it depend on the game and what factors increase or decrease the critic effect?

If you knew the game was bad you wouldn't let the critics have it. That's all my brain can come up with. You could do this morally neutrally if you thought that this is a game "the critics won't like" and the players will like, this is what Netflix does. Sekiro could be this type of game because it's brutally difficult and and not adjustable and some critics won't like that.

I bet dragonrot ends up being like the disease in senua where they make you think it progresses with death but it's actually just tied to game progression.

why? only 6 ds1 boss trophies?

Are the numbers by each symbol the skill point cost? Does the player gain 1 skill point per level up or are there other ways of getting them?

he fingered a girl and she contracted her muscles

Screw that. I love character action games. They infinitely more interesting then basic combat mechanic of the past souls

kinda regret it

When a game doesn't send out review copies usually it just means it sucks. Bottom of the barrel bad. From either thinks it doesn't need journalists or it fears their reaction.

>Singleplayer is boring and empty.
That makes me sad, I hope you grow out of it.

>Japan Souls that everyone and their mom wanted
Dude you have Nioh and soon Nioh 2

Yes, that's the SP cost.
So far we've only seen the player get XP from killing enemies. But maybe there are other ways to gain them.
It seems like you can actually grind for SP, unless the enemies start despawning like in DS2 or something.

i didnt plan on getting the game until a week after any way. But ill try to stay optimistic

It does, but I can't fathom people buying a new souls game just for PvP, I really look forward to the PvE and even the lore over the multiplayer
it seems though, after sekiro, they'll be back to making "Fromsoft-esque" games (to quote Miya). Another dark fantasy ARPG is definitely not out of the question, only that it may not be souls or even Bloodborne.

>From either thinks it doesn't need journalists or it fears their reaction.

Probably fear the journos because it's a tough game, and the journos are soibois who can't handle a challenging game.

DS3 had mods for playing as bosses. I'm sure there will be mods in Sekiro to customize the player beyond what's possible in the game.

Attached: Run and Slide.jpg (615x768, 98K)

I remember they gave streamers very early access to Dark Souls 3 for that game's launch and there was a lot of backlash from the community so I wouldn't be surprised if they really are doing it for spoiler prevention.

I really don't know why people have such a hard time distinguishing sekiro. It's clearly not a soulsborne game. It may have some inspiration of it but its something else. More of an action game. More freedom In mobility being able to jump, grapple and more. From soft has worked on many types of games from tenchu, armored core, ninja blade, otogi, dark souls and more. They aren't a stranger to something like sekiro and seeing people act as if they are is a tad bit irritating.

Not only that but the game released 3 weeks earlier in Japan and fucking Xbox leaked the english copy on their store 3 weeks earlier aswell.
DaS3s release was a fucking disaster

Attached: Shinobi Axe of the Monkey.jpg (911x670, 120K)

This game is already much better than DeS and BB since it's not an exclusive

Game looks cool, but I can't help but feel like it's just a lot more simple than dark souls.
In souls there is pyromancy, miracles, sorcery, archery, which are all mostly viable methods of playing through the game. Even melee can change drastically if you're going for high str vs high dex.
Maybe we just haven't seen enough of this game, but it doesn't really seem like there are any significantly different ways to play. Having stealth is really cool, but the combat is pretty much just hit things with your sword/axe and keep hitting.

Attached: Shinobi Esoteric Text.jpg (912x675, 149K)

I'm hyped for the ninja souls :]

kek
people are still seething that they can't play bloodborne

Anons, why are you assuming that becaus there are challenges for defeating 11 bosses that there are only 11 bosses? Most games that have challenges for boss kills don't have them for every boss in the game.
Could be that those 11 are necessary to beat the game, but that there are 20 optional ones in addition, which don't have achievements for them.

Meanwhile somebody is leaking item descriptions and trophy lists in this thread, two weeks in advance.

Attached: Shinobi Medicine Rank 1.jpg (614x753, 91K)

There is absolutely no way they'd fly out as many people as they did to preview several hours of the game if they had no faith in it. That just wouldn't happen IMO. We've seen enough of the game to know it won't be utter trash, so I don't see them trying to cover anything up.

Whether or not you believe this is a bad PR move or a good PR move (I can see both sides, personally,) they probably still have a solid reason for not sending out review copies that isn't "they're scared of reviews."

Here are a couple of other reasons why this may have happened:

1) Avoiding story spoilers. I'm not entirely convinced by this explanation. You don't see a lot of studios do this. They usually just ask reviewers to omit certain spoiler elements in reviews if they want to keep things a secret. That being said, I could see this being a small part of their decision if the game includes a lot of major twists and turns that they don't want leaking pre-release.

2) Difficulty and Sales. This is the main one. They may be pivoting their marketing to try and capture more of the casual market. I genuinely believe the people who have said this game is hard as hell. Even veteran souls players get absolutely stomped in this game. If the game does turn out to be one of the hardest souls experiences, reviews with the headline "Grueling, Challenging, Difficult, and Incredible," may still scare off the casual crowd who were looking to run around as a ninja and slice shit up. The core folks who will buy anything From puts out will buy Sekiro day 1. The folks who wait for reviews may wait a couple days, but will still buy it if reviews are positive. From probably intended to use the massive preview marketing rush to convince some of these "wait for the review" folks to buy the game even without a review. And the casuals who would run with their tails between their legs if they heard the game was brutally difficult may pick up the game on a whim if reviews are not released.

Is it ok to play it on base ps4? Because I'm pretty fucking hyped

Because obviously the sound effects, healing items and the cryptic nature of the storytelling mean that it's meant to be a Soulsborne.

But yeah, You'd need to be a moron to be unable to distinguish it.

>DaS3s release was a fucking disaster

Sekiro may only have 11 bosses tho, vut pads ir out with minibosses.

I mean Juzo doesn't have a trophy but he'd be a boss in any other souls game.

Looks like you get sword attacks using the strength of the prosthetic arm.

Gomenasai, my name is Rob-Sama.

I'm a 27 year old American Otaku (Anime fan for you gaijins). I draw Anime and Manga on my tablet, and spend my days perfecting my art and playing superior Japanese games. (Disgaea, Final Fantasy, Persona series)

I train with my Katana every day, this superior weapon can cut clean through steel because it is folded over a thousand times, and is vastly superior to any other weapon on earth. I earned my sword license two years ago, and I have been getting better every day.

I speak Japanese fluently, both Kanji and the Osaka dialect, and I write fluently as well. I know everything about Japanese history and their bushido code, which I follow 100%

When I get my Japanese visa, I am moving to Tokyo to attend a prestigious High School to learn more about their magnificent culture. I hope I can become an animator for Studio Ghibli or a game designer!

I own several kimonos, which I wear around town. I want to get used to wearing them before I move to Japan, so I can fit in easier. I bow to my elders and seniors and speak Japanese as often as I can, but rarely does anyone manage to respond.

Wish me luck in Japan!

Get fucked buyfags, gonna pirate this one.

Well, you don't start the game with it. You still have both arms in the tutorial level. That's why it's a key "item" you get later. I don't think you'll lose the arm again.

How is this even a complaint? Another good thing.

I personally love when the devs actually let you win an "unwinnable" encounter. But in this particular case, if you won that fight, not only you wouldn't get the prosthetic tools, the game's plot just would not happen.

You need 4 prayer beads to increase hp and posture health. You get them from defeating certain minibosses.

And that's it, folks.
I'm still missing the description of the Withered Red Gourd And the Rot Essence key item of another NPC in the hub, forgot his name.

Does the game still give you a bad ending if you die too many times?
Not buying it in that case, hate arbitrary bullshit like that.

Attached: 1476799685582.png (285x271, 136K)

Attack Power upgrade needs 4 beads + 1 memory ("boss" drop) I believe.

Yeah casual filter, git gud :)

Which is a nice way to incentivise killing enemies and exploring.

>tells you directly whats happening and why
>arbitrary
dont use terms you dont understand

But it's been so long since we had a world tendency equivalent.

You also can't get new prosthetic tools and upgrades until you actually find them in the world. They're not just skills you can buy with skill points.

Not him but "world tendency" sounds like some bad engrish a Japanese dev pulled out of his ass. Couldn't they named it something that actually means what it does?

Nearly every single one of those things you said was false. What makes one so butthurt they continuously lie about this game for months in every single thread?

Also seems to be a lot of friendly NPCs to interact with when exploring. Literally the best parts of the Souls games but better

>only 13 bosses

Hahahahahhaah what a failure hahahhahahahahaha

That's what makes them fun for me. More incentive to replay and try new things as well.

World tendency didn't affect your ending, though. It only affected the enemies and NPCs in the game.

>arbitrary

Not arbitrary, skill-based. Git gud

Would you be playing this game at 30fps?

>an inclination towards a particular characteristic or type of behaviour.
makes sense. the world inclines towards black or white depending on your actions (and the actions of others if you were online)

on base ps4 and xbox1 i assume so

To think the game has 11 actual bosses because there are achievements for killing 11 bosses, is illogical.
Just look at something like Dark Souls achievements, you get them for a minority of the bosses.

Even the enhanced consoles will probably favor resolution over frame rate.

It's going to be hard right? The games are too easy now

You can't change anything of the player character.

There was an old article right after nioh came out ( cant seem to find right now but will post once i do)
which said that miyazaki was watching and learning from nioh since they were developing their own japanese setting game. I wouldnt be surprised if the framerate is one of the things they learned

Just like the many medieval Europeans that did? You are aware that European explorers came across Japan in the 1400's, and were in contact with and traded with Japs ever since then?
There were some that even settled down and became samurai in Japan.

False. It is the amount of points you have invested into that skill. You can level all of them up several times.

Nioh was the best damn game of 2017. cry about it all you want kiddo!

No it doesn't, it just means they don't give a fuck about what some retarded Jew working at Kotaku thinks, and the fact that YOU DO says a lot about your lack of brain functions. Games journalists are literally talentless hacks and liars.

Shush user, we need new flesh.

Except, as I said, there is no reason to think it has only 11 actual bosses. What game has an achievement for killing every single boss? More likely it has achievements for 11 very plot important ones only.

Eh Nioh is actually garbage

go back to /pol/

How would that not be cool as fuck, that would be like being rewarded with a Very Hard Mode for beating the "unwinnable" boss at the start.

Oh, good, I was worried for a moment. I don't PvP, by the way.

I play endgame only -Fashion Souls

>What game has an achievement for killing every single boss
Bloodborne
Dark Souls 3 (pre-DLC)

[citation needed]
Lie more cuck

Spooky.

Yet most games do not have an achievement for every boss. So there is no reason to make assumptions that Sekiro does.
There is no way they would have revealed this many bosses already if it didn't have a fuckton more of them.

3 of 5 souls games have an achievement for each boss
Until 2 days ago we only saw 2 bosses (Monk and Lady Butterfly), now we've still only seen 3 (Gyoubu) and the game is 2 weeks from launch

pc or ps4?

That doesn't change the fact that after the 1400's, there were hundreds of years of contact between Europeans and the Japs, even if during some eras Japan was closed off.

For example
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Adams_(sailor,_born_1564)
The player character from Nioh was a real historical English sailor that decided to stay in Japan and become a samurai.

So, it's not far fetched for there to be one European knight boss. Especially considering there were a few battles between both sides as well, which means any one of hundreds of knights could have gotten separated from their group and became stranded in Japan.

>Using Lapis Lazuli to upgrade tools
Minecraft???

I've never gone there. Are you so unintelligent you think someone goes to /pol/ because they acknowledge the fact that western games journalists are overwhelmingly Jews, and that they are all literally paid shills that will rate your game depending on how well you bribe them?
Or are you trying to claim Jason Schreier is not a man of Jewish origin.

Does Bloodborne have an achievement for every Chalice boss?
False, we saw Gyoubu and a giant monkey boss in the E3 reveal already. We have seen 4 real bosses already, if the game had 11, they would NOT have shown 40% of them.
Come on, use your head.

>Does Bloodborne have an achievement for every Chalice boss?
That'd be retarded since some are just basic enemies and some even repeat.

>Does Bloodborne have an achievement for every Chalice boss?
hell no, only the pthumerian bitch has a trophy

The giant monkey is not a full blown boss

Yeah they should just give us the full list and show the ending to us right now.

So I am in the right regarding Bloodborne as well, it does not have achievements for nearly all of the bosses.
>some are just basic enemies
I don't own Bloodborne since I don't have a PS4, but I've played it a lot at a friends place, and most of the chalice bosses are completely unique, very proper boss fights.

>missing the point this hard
you retarded?

Not the guy you were replying to, but I believe the game might actually just have 11 bosses. But that's ok, because the game is choke-ful of mini bosses. Juzo, the Samurai General and the centipede wolverine dude are all classfied as minibosses, but would easily be bosses in any other souls games

No one cares about the boss count, altough I'm pretty sure shitposters will hold onto that and shitpost forever

It's in the trophy list as a boss.

[citation needed]
It looks far more like a real boss than a miniboss

The giant monkey is most likely Guardian Ape and he is a fullblown boss, and Miyazaki even said it was his favorite boss fight in Sekiro tied with someone who used a lot of dirty tricks (Owl, maybe?)

So it is. My mistake

>I'm not from /pol/
>Immediately starts talking about da joos

You fucking bet I will we got too much footage of the game in the last couple of days and no gold mine reviews like the 6 weapons one for anything else to stick

Hope there's game breaking bugs that only affect the PC version and never gets patched.
Maybe your cuckboy ResetEra Durante fag will come to the rescue again.

Attached: 4channel.jpg (736x460, 161K)

I don't see how it could be possible at all for it to have 11 true bosses only. They have revealed 4 despite showing only a couple hours of the beginning of the game, in a game that is said to be 30-50 hours long.

Descartes never said that. And that's a picture of Voltaire.

No matter what it turns out to be, The Mark of the Conqueror in Nioh is significant.

Before I say why I need to divide the Souls community into two general groups - Conquerors and Conquered - and quickly define both.

Both have basically been around since Demon's Souls, but the very nature of the Conquered demands that the Conquerors come first. Why? Because Conquers beat the path and light the way. Afterward, like mold or a rot, the Conquered seep into the community, ever at the heels of the Conquerors.

How is that? Either by a lack of information upon release or due to a self-imposed restriction, the Conqueror goes in blind. Conquerors embrace the challenge From Software has extended with each release in their Souls/Bloodborne Series while the Conquered abhor it. While Conquerors scratched and clawed their way through levels and boss fights, the Conquered poured over FAQs, Strategy Guides, Wiki Articles, Google Search Results, Let's Plays and How to Videos.

Therefore the Conquered subsist by virtue of the illumination spread over From's games by the Conquerors, entirely dependent on it. Overtime they've let themselves forget this, fancying themselves old hands as they bring their borrowed knowledge and tactics to bear on each successive release.

And then here comes fucking Nioh, reminding the Conquered who they really are. And with little to no documentation in sight they hide behind shitposts so they can cling to that "gud" status they worked so hard to attain. Eventually they'll be back. Once the Conquerors have shown the way, that is.

And that's why The Mark of the Conqueror is significant. No matter how superficial, uselessly cosmetic or quickly outclassed it is, it stills says I'm not No, I'm a Conqueror

Big areas and minibosses. Minibosses this time around seem to be as challenging as the average Dark Souls bossfight and some of them are known to be obligatory (like the Chained Ogre)

at least I won't be playing the game as if it was made in 2011

Nioh is really good but I missed From Software's aesthetic design so much when played that game. The levels, with the exception of Muneshige's arena, looked so damn bland. Same with most of the enemies. I don't know if Sekiro's combat will surpass Nioh's but look at pic related, pure kino.

This

Again, I was talking about 4 actual bosses. They have shown 4 of those bosses in the achievement list.

Truly awful casual combat

They're key items.
I think you start with Ashina skill tree by default and get Prosthetic together with the arm.
Shinobi skill tree is unlocked by doing the Hirata Estate memory area I believe.

Attached: Thank you.webm (950x534, 2.47M)

Sekiros combat already in the shown footage has far surpassed Niohs.

I expect to see a lot of unique minibosses (which would have been actual bosses in a game like Dark Souls 2 that gives Prowling Magus boss status) but I also think there won't be any extra bosses aside the ones that have achievements in that list. Unless some of the endings contain extra bosses, I don't think Gehrman/Moon Presence or Soul of Cinder had trophies for example.

It may look that way on the surface, but Nioh is surprisingly difficult.

Speaking of bosses, anyone has cool theories about Isshin Ashina? There's two trophies for him, in one he's just called Isshin Ashina and in the other he's called Sword Saint Isshin Ashina

I think he may also be a Dragon Heir, and you kill him midgame and then again as the final boss except he's all fucked up for some story related reason

>we have one, just one thread without the mentally ill stalker
>but this time there's the mentally ill Nioh webm shitposter

>Black Iron
Hmmmmmmm

Did someone mention my name?

Yes. As opposed to running away and damaging them.
>A death blow will always start a new bar too.
You only have to get their posture down twice the second death in Shadows Die Twice is permanent for the boss.

He's the first boss, you're meant to lose for story reasons. Maybe you get a trophy for beating him in the 1st encounter

I'm going to spend as much time on Sekiro as I did with every souls game (15-30 hours) and I'm going to enjoy it. I'm glad they're battling autism and won't make a game that can be endlessly repeated with minor variations for a thousand hours.

>Magnetite

You can just get beaten in a cutscene
Or a bigger badass comes and cuts your arm off.

At 0 HP the boss stops regenerating posture. Of course this is the encourage the player to parry and use the posture system, instead of treating it like Weeaboo Souls. For the matter you can still play it like a Souls game, you're just gonna have a really hard time

Isshin Ashina isn't the Ashina Commander that cuts your arm.
There was this about him on the Japanese version of the Sekiro website long ago:
>Far beyond the snowy peaks lies the land of Ashina. The Sword Saint, Ashina Isshin, had conquered the northern provinces and founded the nation less than a generation ago. However, Ashina's survival has now fallen into peril. Dismayed by their plight, Isshin's grandson, the commander of Ashina, secretely relays a message to his troops: "There are no longer any natural means through which we can protect Ashina from its invaders." "Now is the time. We need the prince."

Attached: kaname.png (400x400, 223K)

He's fightable in the first encounter? I figured it would just be a cutscene. That's interesting

>Magnetite deposits are found in the Sunken Valley, but the place is dangerously toxic
>dangerously toxic

Oh shit, my bad

So I'm guessing Isshin Ashina probably obtains immortaly thanks to the blood of the prince and somehow rejuvenates or gets all fucked up, maybe

I have a part time job while paid full time, crackboi

I don't know why you keep saying the same thing over and over again, it makes no sense to think it won't have more than 11 actual bosses.
If it only had 11, they would not have shown 4 of them already, and 3 of them sure as hell would not be in the first two zones lol.

Come one, guys. Miyazaki already said the "poison swamp" was his favorite type of area in the Souls games. We all knew Sekiro will have one.

At least with the verticality, maybe it won't be such a chore

Why the hell are you posting this shit?

>2 weeks
I'm gonna cry

Niohfags are mentally ill. They have to be to put up with trash diablo loot system for hundreds of hours

What the fuck is wrong with that man?

Hey man, don't try to start some shit. It's just that guy who's wrong in the head.
I enjoyed Nioh as well as Souls, but I don't cross-post in these threads.

Imagine getting this hurt over a couple of webm's
back to resetera

That was my first message on that topic, I was not the previous user. I just don't think Gyoubu would have a personal trophy if only the main bosses had trophies. He doesn't seem that important for the story. Also in DS3/BB all bosses have trophies with the exception of the ending-related bosses.

Attached: plain doll.jpg (850x1202, 104K)

But that's not true at all. He has very clearly stated his favorite type ever was the Tower of Latria type. He was even inspired to make the entire Bloodborne because of Latria, and also made Irithyll dungeons because of it.
He was so into Tower of Latria that he actually personally himself made the 3D models for that area in Demon's Souls, look it up.

You're in the wrong thread Niohcuck. Go to a Nioh thread. People are discussing Sekiro here, and frankly no one cares to hear about Nioh.

Same, it cannot come soon enough

>already took the 22nd day off
>pre-ordered the game, because local retailers are all jews that sell new games at 70€ but offer you a discount down to 60€ if you pre-order, so might as well save 10€
>bought a beanbag recently
>will buy groceries so I don't have to do shit all weekend

I'm so hype

Here's a new one.

>Go to a Nioh thread
He can't. Nobody discusses that utterly irrelevant and forgotten low budget souls clone since 2 weeks after release

>maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam they're posting webm's from another game in my thread
>maaaaaaaaaaaaam

It was already proven in this thread that BB does not have achievements for almost any Chalice bosses, which are unique bosses.
The 11 achievements at most only imply that those are the obligatory boss fights, there could be dozens of real bosses in addition that are optional and can be avoided by taking different paths.

yep
just look at all those souls and bloodborne threads
o wait
LMAO

>illusion techniques
>crush phantoms and return to reality
Genjutsu

Attached: 72 hours.jpg (1280x720, 82K)

Are you actually this retarded and childish? Yes, that is the point of threads, to stay on topic.
Make a Nioh thread and discuss the obscure dead game with the 10 other people on all of Yea Forums that care about it.
You're wasting precious internet kilobytes by shitting up the Sekiro thread with Nioh.

Man I'm glad this is going on PC without Denuvo. Day1.

Attached: free.png (2000x2265, 782K)

?
There are quite frequent Bloodborne threads that go up to the bump limit.
Yet Nioh threads get 20-30 replies and then die lul

>maaaaaa he's not on topic on Yea Forums
>noooooo
>maaaaaaa

My business is with Echigoya. Step aside, or I will have to kill you.

Git gud

I don't know, the Chalice Dungeons are a very particular case. They're so removed from the main game. All main-game BB bosses have achievements, including non-mandatory ones. And in Dark Souls 3 optional bosses like Oceiros, Champion Gundyr, Nameless King, etc. have trophies. The only ones that do not have them are ending bosses where you just get the respective ending achievements after them. I hope you're right and there will be way more bosses, but I personally think you're setting yourself up for disappointment by thinking there will be more than those.

Attached: bb mimics.jpg (3024x4032, 748K)

So it's Bloodborne with a grappling hook and instead of the healing from attacking mechanic we get a balance meter. Can this studio make another game already? I'm getting tired of playing the same game but with a slightly different flavor.

Attached: shrug.png (425x282, 36K)

by the way you type I think you might be the ENB stalker, but you're absolutely right in this case

Jump button and combat focusing on deflection should give it a sufficiently different feel to BB. It also looks a lot faster

Mein neger, watch the previews, looks nothing like souls, borne, or even nioh.

Attached: 1548200226793.jpg (500x500, 344K)

This has been news since the announcement you fucking retard i hope you cant get your money back and then get ran over after walking out of gamestop

Sekiro is Bloodbourne in the way Bloodbourne is Dark Souls

Attached: Treasure Carp.jpg (1182x344, 96K)

Stop with this shit
Bloodborne is quite literally Souls but with faster combat and transform weapons
Sekrio is focused around death blows and blocking more so than dodging

oh shut the fuck up, they literally said the same about Bloodborne and yet people consider it the best now.

LuL

I'm getting so fucking hyped reading these item descriptions. I can't wait to dive into the lore HOLY FUCK.

No. It plays like a hack n slash game. It's unironically closer to something like DMC than it is to Bloodborne.

I've spent 3000+ hours in Bloodborne, because the gameplay doesn't matter, only the story does. Sekiro will be the same.

why spoil yourself then?

Imagine having such a low brain capacity that this is your takeaway of the game after seeing and reading all that we know about it

Nobody understands the story immediately upon seeing its components because it's so fragmentary, so you can't really spoil yourself.

But Sekiros gameplay is actually insanely better too. It's an actual character action game, not a "dodge, attack, dodge" game like the Souls games were.

Yeah, now we get
block block dodge block deathblow
block block dodge block deathblow

I found a shitty video with a memory of the Ashina Commander talking to the Divine Heir.
>We managed to drive them back once
>But the Interior Ministry's army is far too powerful
>And that is why...
>You wish to use the power of my blood?
>It doesn't matter how much power you obtain. You'll keep on fighting until you're a monster, incapable of feeling pain or fear...
>I... do not wish to corrupt the lives of men
>Look at this mountain of bodies
It looks like the thing they're fighting against is the "Interior Ministry". I wonder what that is.

I am not ENBfag.

Attached: sekiro5.jpg (1175x597, 140K)

Souls gameplay exhausts itself after like 200 hours, maximum. It's going to stop being interesting after two months or less. However, Sekiro's story will remain interesting for years.

Made new bread since this one is at bump limit

The player character even copypastes all the animation from the Bloodborne guy but you will trigger all the from drone cucks if you say so.

Will get the game once it hits 20 bucks or less.

>good sekiro thread
>get to it when it's nearly dead
Fuck sake

>base game is against the Ministry of the Interior
>DLC1 is against the Ministry of Agriculture
>DLC2 is against the Ministry of Industry
>Sekiro 2 is a story of fighting against the Japanese IRS

...

You might as well have that same complaint about DMC5.
Both are same genre when it comes to combat, though Sekiro has a high focus on sword clashes. So actually perhaps more of a Bayonetta style combat, since parrying is a huge thing in Bayo.

>b-but DMC 5
