Tranqs and silencers were a mistake and have been ruining the series from MGS2 onwards.

This. Not only in MGS but in basically every game with tanqs and/or silencers, there's no reason not to use them. They're too overpowered with almost no negatives. Devs really need to work on balancing them

This game is actually a fucking blast when you're unreasonably bad at video games, Im always getting into some fucked up situation and having to find a new and unique way to survive and redeem a botched mission but i've seen how repetitive it gets if you have any skill at all

Well, silencers were too nerfed in 5. They only last a dozen shots and then you need to resupply them which takes like a fucking minute. And you need to play the game for 25 hours before you get to a level where you get more durable ones.
Lethal stealth is what is way more fun to me nowadays but this game doesn't allow you to play that way.

I played the game for 250 hours just taking over outposts in different ways. Not my problem if you don't know how to have fun and just path of least resistance your way through everything you play.

That was my first post. You choose your loadout, and you can choose to go in with your fucking bullshit silenced tranquilizer gun, or not. You can also adjust the difficulty by turning off different aids piecemeal. You can turn off the EZ mode bullet time you normally have when you get spotted, you can turn off marking so you don't get to wallhack everything. You have options to make the game challenging.
