Keiichi Okabe (Nier, Drakengard)
Daisuke Ishiwatari (Guilty Gear, Blazblue)
david wise
Yousuke Yasui and Ayako Saso
Honestly what I was thinking of when I wrote that.
I'm trying to think of soundtracks that stay with you the way a good album does.
Probably or santaruru
Don't like megaten? lol
Koichi Sugiyama, discounting Dragon Quest XI.
good taste
RIP
In my opinion the student has surpassed the teacher,Hosoe is still one of my favourites.
Chikayo Fukuda
I'll second this but I almost feel like it's cheating since what comes to mind most strongly is not his videogame soundtracks but the excellent work he did elsewhere. (He even frequently brings old non videogame tracks into dragonquest, a cheap move maybe.)
Lorne Balfe
>mfw the AC Revelations OST that was just a massive collaboration between him and Jesper Kyd

based, LISA has a great soundtrack
He's a weird dude because he always makes fun of weaboos but he is a westaboo himself.
>He even frequently brings old non videogame tracks into dragonquest, a cheap move maybe.)
I don't doubt that this is true, but do you know any tracks he did this with off the top of your head? I've never actually heard any of his non-DQ music.
wtf is that pic from finlan?

The cyborg 009 symphonic tracks are the most obvious. See if you can recognize it.

Mike Morasky.
TF2's soundtrack is timeless.
Ryota Kozuka
Whoever made crypt of the necrodancer
Shame he's a total faggot.
my nigger
David Wise and Virt are my two favorite western boys.
These
Didn't Wise only compose the original DK soundtracks? If that's the case he's overrated as fuck.
You know he has worked on more stuff than DK, right?
ZUN
you already posted him
>Masafumi Takada only mentioned once
Wow
You already posted him

Never forget
Oh shit, that's part of the ending/credits for DQ7, right? Interesting, I'm gonna have to take a look at more of his stuff.
Hisayoshi Ogura you philistine
I was disappointed when I found out how lazily he composed a lot of songs on the first 4 games.
A lot of it was already made music loops from a sample pack i.e he didn't make it.
Nobuo Uematsu
I really liked Jeper Kyds work, is he still making music?
Also David Bergeaud, he made the OST for the PS2 R&C games, sadly he also stopped
His work in Goldeneye and Perfect Dark is very stylistically different from his platformer stuff.
youtube.com
I can't decide between Koji Kondo and David Wise.
Motoi Sakuraba
Uematsu during the 5th gen was the gold standard of videogame composers
Shinomura is quite good but not great
Sakuraba i only listened to his very old stuff and he was pretty great
Same thing with Mitsuda
I don't know many of the names for japanese devs but radiation, danny b, and grany kirkhope are some of the best in the west
