Not sure what direction they're going for with this game as its neither mechanically complex and fast paced enough to be a full blown action game such as DMC or NG, but it also lacks the character customization and online features that made the souls games so memorable. 3d dot game heroes was fucking great

You can customize your skills and loadout of arms, there are two swords actually that you can use, your regular sword and the "Mortal Blade". It is published by Activision but they have had almost no hand in the game exept the tuturial. The QTE are the kill blows but most of the combat is reflex, skills and tactics and stealth. It is to early to know what kind of plot, and what is most important is the way it is told and how it resolves. Sure there is no stanima but there is a "posture" metre that serves as your "stanima". Kinda. They have tweked the game so that it will be balanced with the resurrectiong in mind. There is magic and sureal elements to it. And it is a singelplayer focused experience. Maybe do some research before you shit out missinformation and shit opinions retard.

You use exp to level up and unlock skills for you character.

Like abilities new moves buffs to certain stats and other things.

There is a skill tree. Bloodborne didnt have too luch room for builds anyway and is still the best souls. Its not only about replayability what makes the game is how memorable the first run is. Dark souls 2 was the most replayable of them all by a huge margin and its the worst. Dark souls 3 had zero room for replayability and 70% of the builds were barely viable or fun to play at all even on pve

Excited for the ancient japan/medieval europe crossover which is pretty unique, worried it'll feel too similar to Souls bosses after 4 games of fighting mostly knights.
It may just be a few enemies/isolated to one area rather than a whole midgame twist, we'll see

We have an equivalent. It's called Dragonrot. Every time you die, a disease spreads throughout the hub effecting NPCs. The more this accumulates, the less likely you are to get "unseen aid" and will even lock you out of dialogue with them. It's said to kill. I won't be surprised that it will integrates itself with the narrative, maybe even the NPCs could die as a result.

I'm worried there won't be many prosthetic tools. Hoping for 15+ but that probably won't happen
