I only played the demo and it was braindead easy even without using the gears at all and the shitty 3D is ugly as fuck.

muh sprites

Who hates it besides this retard?

Eric.

And he got BTFO when the actual sales data came out

They don't

Nobody outright hates it, they're baiting

I don't hate it, I just find it mediocre as hell.
The music in particular, only Acid Man's was great

Considering what went into the design process, it makes sense why the game's so by the book. I hope they step it up and go a little crazy with the next one. More Wily stages couldn't hurt either.

I mean i'll take a mediocre mega man over no mega man at all every day, it's the same with the Metroid 2 remake.
If the game is decently received, it gives chance for better games down the line

Which Mega Man is your favorite?

Attached: 9c482eb9-0225-4769-a2a3-68edc0bc0ad9.png (1280x291, 128K)

8
What's the second one from?

10 is NES but perfect

It's from the Genesis remake collection.

Yeah but I don't feel the need of more Mega Man, therre are a gazillion ones already and any possible level idea has been explored, at this point it has no new game design material to go with if not reahshing and shoving in gimmicks

It's widely agreed that MM11 is a solid entry in the classic series. What the fuck are you on about, faggot?

Attached: 8e32b18d42cf5522e5aa168346fb4baaf36c3276.jpg (654x1000, 84K)

Yea Forums agrees that it's shit

No, archives show it's rather well received.

It's decent enough. Gears make the game a bit too easy, and some level design (Bounce Man) is fucking obnoxious, but otherwise it's pretty much on par with 9 and 3.

You're not the entirety of Yea Forums, Eric. Go back to crying about MM11 selling well, you brain dead cuck.

Can't play as nude rock-kun

not an argument

Correct, you didn't provide any arguments this entire time, thanks for admitting it.

Easy game.

It´s a great game. Difficulty is on point. I have a friend that started with tundraman and quit the game because he couldn´t get to the end. I tould him to go with easy mode first but fucker was too proud to do so and just dropped the game. What I´m trying to say is that if you´re not a complete retarded the game is smooth and not frustrating like the early entries that actively hated you so the game would last longer

Are you mad or something?

Where were you when Mega man was confirmed back?

Attached: 1465962341585.gif (540x540, 1.04M)

If there were more Wily stages, extra stages and characters, and MM7-style secrets(excluding Rush Search bullshit), I would easily consider it the best Mega Man game to date.

In the dorms.
>youtu.be/WBm_lXjQm_c

When is Mega Man ever going to feature a boss called Leather Man?

In it's current state where would you rank it? Personally I'd say it's easily in the top 3.

It seems really low effort compared to MM9 or MM10.

Since Capcom still doesn't care enough to work hard on a Mega Man game, they don't get my money.

My only real issue is that there's no additional stuff so far.

Not him but I'm pretty comfortable with

11 > 9 > 3 > 4 > 2 > 8 > 6 > 10 > 5 > 7 > &B > 1

its only the second best mm game.

It's top 2 for me, 9 and 11 are the two best Mega Man games though I think I like 9 slightly more

I'd say my ranking is something like this:

9 > 11 > 4 > 3 > 7 > 1 > 2 > 10 > 6 > 8 > 5 > Bass

>8
>better than anything

Hell no. It's not even better than most of the gameboy games. It's just another 10; a serviceable attempt yet still losing to games made before cellphones existed.

What does Yea Forums finally admitting itself is shit have to do with Mega Man 11?

Thanks for the constructive conversation chiefo

I don't know how to feel about the upgrade shop. I feel kind of cheap when I buy clear upgrades for things.

Attached: 1548898201675.png (326x323, 173K)

9 > 11 > 3 > 6 > 4 > 10 > 8 > 2 > 5 > 1 > 7

Never played &B.

Too expensive, doesn't do anything new, not even the story is worth it, you could probably skip it and go straight to 12 when it comes

It's pretty good. It's hard as balls, which is unusual for Mega Man.

The hardest game in the series after Mega Man III on the gameboy.

Think of it as a versatile difficulty slider.

It's not Legends 3, that's how petty Legendsfags are.

Legendsfag here, both games are on my top 5 but I'd put them alongside (and below) X1, X4 and MM9. 11's like top 10, though.

The second list is mine, I think 8 and 5 both suffer from being boring as hell because of how easy they are but 8 looks cute and has better music so I gave it some leeway. I know 5 has the same art style as the other NES games but something about it feels bland to me.

Bass is basically 8 but frustrating instead of easy, and with a convoluted stage select as well. I've never beaten it but at the same time, it's the only classic Mega Man where I gave up due to loss of interest so by default I suppose it's my least favorite.

I actually prefer the newest iteration, I just wish the animations were better to breathe some more life into him.

You should, don't take retards' words on its difficulty. Use your item screen a lot, that's how you get good at it. Here's a tip as an example, the Critical Boost triples the damage of everything, including the Buster shots when you have Rush out, etc.
Of course play the Super Famicom version.

Nes and Genesis/MegaDrive

>I know 5 has the same art style as the other NES games but something about it feels bland to me.

5 is straight up off, the devs didn't know what to do after 4 so they just made a game where they jacked up the damage values of everything and made a bunch of bosses with boring patterns. It's probably the least inspired of the classic entries with 6 at least being a rebound to standard balance.

2 > 3 > 1 > 4 > 5 > 6 > 9 > 10 > 7 > MM&B > 8 > 11

Cause it's not this

Attached: Mighty No 9.jpg (535x640, 137K)

>2 that high, yet 9 that low
>1 that high
>5 that high
>11 below 7

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh

MN9 is absolute dog shit but pic related is fucking great and what the original should've been in the first place. And that's all thanks to Con Man not being involved with its development this time. Would recommend it even in a post the real Mega man is back world.

Attached: H2x1_NSwitchDS_MightyGunvoltBurst.jpg (2000x1000, 1.12M)

>Why do people hate it?

because it's their first time playing a megaman game and they didn't realize basically old school style is dark souls tier hard.

Cause its trash

It's a great game my only problem is that it's too short and has less content than MM10, the latter which can easily be fixed by some DLC. Where the fuck is it Capcom, I wanna play as Bass.

youtu.be/K9ZtqzbJnqU

phoned in soulless trash

>music, the foundation of a ROCK man game, is awful
>2.5D
>16:9 screens damage the flow of your attacks
>double gear system ruins the game design. Instead of being a crutch for casuals, many sections are retarded without it. 1-10 were NOT this hard.
>stages are way too long, going with above point, but you get the same number of lives and HP as 1-10. Leading to..
>the game is balanced around the shop and double gear. The devs wanted you to buy etanks and lives and spam double gear as much as possible, or have "le dark souls hard" experience without them, which is not the way the original games were designed

2 > 3 > 5 > 1 > 4 > 6

>but otherwise it's pretty much on par with 9 and 3.
So it's shit?

test

Third point is obsolete because shot speed was increased for this very reason

The only flaws from 11 were the music, the Wily stages being short and no other playable characters
Other than that it was pretty good

11 is great

Attached: 7E355E2B-6054-41F2-BA34-C7B88097EDFA.png (287x241, 146K)

Post 'em.

Attached: rockview.png (1450x2320, 3.71M)

11 has the best robot masters.

I put 70 hours into it so I definitely don't. Wish the music was better though.

The songs on the soundtrack were way better than the in-game versions.

youtube.com/watch?v=22PMzlntONY

>I have no argument so I call him a name
Really, when the fuck did that become prevalent?

Genesis and 32bit are great, though Genesis is too big in-game.

>only played the first games in the BN and SF series
Nigger, what the FUCK are you doing?

>gives no arguments
>sits there expecting arguments back
based retard

How the fuck does Elec Man manage to have such a solid design regardless of sub-series?

>clipping on roll's skirt

go fix the weight paint, you dipshit. it won't take more than a few minutes to correct. Just select those few faces on the front of her skirt where it's clipping and apply 100% weight to the thigh bone

people forgot how basic and simple classic megaman is.
it is also fine tuned to be a mix between classic and X series. some complain about how long the stages are. that is because the stages feels like a X/Z/ZX series stage in terms of length but without the dash function. Even Capcom knows that a full classic magaman will not work anymore.
And of course the bosses are easy. the dual gear system is pretty much what capped X from X1 can do in an daily basis in terms of raw power. Rock was only missing a standard dash and he would just be prototype X in 11.and using Impact man's weapon for a dash substitute the game pretty much is MMX without the collectables

I didn't make that, m8.

Because he’s was in spired bothe battle network games for the show
So was gutsman

Woodman is still best design

Attached: E1741CF5-1D34-40BE-8807-C87C6CC5A82A.png (1334x750, 1.61M)

I only hated the soulless sound design. This game has metroid other M levels of shit sound design.

How come people give flak to 11 for having a shop, when 7, 8, 9, and 10 had a shop?

Because it has upgrades never scene before

They do? 11's shop is way better, it actually has meaningful upgrades.

new bad

Megaman games have always been about having a modular difficulty. If you follow boss routes, abuse boss weapons, buy shop items, and in the case of this game abuse the double gear system, you can make it quite easy on yourself.

The same can be said of all Megaman games. You can make them more difficult by holding back or playing like an inexperienced Megaman player does. Inexperienced Megaman players are scared to run out of ammo with boss weapons, so they tend to stay buster-only except for when the situation calls for a boss weapon to be used.

>only hated the soulless sound design
this. the OST pretty bad. I played while listening to the OST from other MM games
many people didn't play 7 and 8 at the time thanks to oversaturation. meanwhile 9 and 10 pandered to your retro gamer and ONLY 90s or 90s KIDS WILL REMEMBER THIS retards.

>muh hard
retards confusing challenge with difficulty once again. some of the stages are built for assholery, rather than legitimate fun from legitimate challenge.

MM11's boss music and Bounce Man's stage theme are the best songs in the game.

The gear system. It seems harmless on its face, but it causes cascading problems in all directions.

1) The time slowing ability lead to an increase in things that require overly fast or overly precise timing, so instead of playing Mega Man, you're playing a shallow version of Prince of Persia. Instead of a boss whose attacks are hard to dodge, they're unfair to dodge, but if you push a button, they become TRIVIAL to dodge.

2) The extra power gear increased the number of enemies and obstacles designed to outright tank hits. It's annoying.

3) That same gear also makes a lot of the boss weapons feel REDUNDANT. Either use the thing with limited ammo and specific applications, or the thing that recharges itself and has almost universal application.

This game added a new mechanic, then built around that mechanic to the point where the old mechanics have no place left.

The game is easily beatable without using the gears once, git gud you fucking scrub.

8 still has the better upgrades.

Yeah it does I forgot about 8, I was mainly thinking of 9 and 10 when comparing them.

Haven't been here in months, did it sell well or not?

Attached: 1551763345207.jpg (459x357, 36K)

what are games with "legitimate challenge"?

I think Capcom confirmed somewhere around 870k. Considering MM rarely breaks 1mil, I'd say that's not only pretty good but 11 has a shot at breaking said threshold.

>not Acid Man and Tundra Man's stages

lives system
3d graphics
not megman x9

Very nice, I'm happy those IT FLOPPED fags got BTFO

Attached: 1551725329962.jpg (564x537, 147K)

Probably did so well because Capcom wasn't greedy for once and actually priced it moderately well. Nintendo should take notes because meanwhile they're pricing a Gameboy game with new graphics at full price.

>8
>not better than anything

It met Capcom's expectations:

rockman-corner.com/2019/02/mega-man-11-sold-870000-units-mega-man.html

X9 here we come baybeeeeeeee

So now the questions becomes, will X9 do it's own thing or will it just be X1/X4 redo?

Wake me up when the Legends revival happens.

Attached: takennotes.png (200x325, 16K)

7's sprites were a bit too big but I liked the art design of the game overall. Hell I think 7 gets too much flak from the fanbase there's far worse Mega Man games out there for it to still be treated as some black sheep.

Don't expect until a potential Legends Legacy Collection does well.

I'm sure it'll be in a similar style to MM11, what mechanics they bring back is up to the dev team. MM11's director forced the entire team to play through every classic and X game before they started working on 11 so that they'd know what worked and what didn't in those series.

There's no bad lassic series Mega Man game, sure some are weaker than others but none of them are outright bad.

Attached: 1482535423930.png (800x789, 550K)

It was overpriced, but I liked it.

Solid level design, solid bosses, Gear system was a neat addition to the old formula.

Do you think they'll bring back Sigma (as a character, not just a new gen using his form) or will they stick to whatever they planned for Lumine?

I didn't hated it, but the jump was so weird, everytime I had to jump and had a low ceiling I got fucked.

Attached: 1544704496643.jpg (718x720, 78K)

I'd hope they continue from where X8 left off.

Don't forget all those quality of life improvements like Rush being mapped to the face buttons, the weapon wheel, and weapon test rooms. MM11 ain't perfect and disappointed me in some areas but adding everything it did right results in a damn solid game.

Attached: 5603141d2583c9f1c1a226d348ff3effce9e2f59.png (750x1017, 516K)

Who does? i really liked it, at the end of the day its not super special but after almost 10 years, its a safe return for MM, they have only up to go from here

I WANNA PLAY IT SO FUCKING BAD AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Fuck off faggot, you're not Yea Forums.

True, people are mostly shitting on it because half the stages are super ugly and it's fairly easy. Plus I wasn't a huge fan of Mega Man's model.

Still, solid ass game that had some really enjoyable boss weapons.

lol

mega man 11 is a mediocre indie-tier platformer that panders to nu-male nostalgiafags. if you collect funko pops and watch rick & morty, you'll probably love mm11.
all in all, it's a waste of development time and resources that should have gone to legends 3 or a new battle network/star force game instead.

8

Attached: MegamanVolnuttMML.jpg (370x988, 105K)

It's another ficking Megaman
They made the same game 10 times before that
It's not a bad game, just too safe for my tastes

X9 will probably be a soft reboot and bring back Sigma, Vile, etc..

Fuck off esl scum

>all buzzwords no arguments
so this is the power of nu Yea Forums

>Vile
Only if he's playable again.

Can Legends 1 and 2 get a re-release now that X and Classic got theirs?

Please?

Hello?

wouldn't put it past them even though sigma's actually dead after X8 and so is vile. I'd hope for a game leading up to/ about the elf wars

Attached: 1547179031082.jpg (300x300, 15K)

>soft reboot
If that happens, watch them bring back Dr. Cain from retirement/the dead.

He isn't though. That was just a fan-theory. Zero series confirms that Sigma wasn't completely defeated until the Mother Elf came along.

OUT OF THE WAY LIBERALS

I never liked 7's sprite. It might be because I associate it with sprite webcomics and I can't take it seriously, but I also just don't like his face. 8's sprite on the other hand is fantastic in a still shot even if it's a bit over-animated for a game with such precise movements as Megaman. Oddly enough, I think 7 is a way better game than 8 regardless.

I think 9/10's and Wily Wars' are good too. 11's isn't bad, it's better than 7's for sure, but something is like 5-10% off about it that I can't quite place.

>black man is weak to fire
>black man is the most irresponsible
Did Dr.Light have Raimi design Oil Man?

10 > 4 = 11 > 3 = 9 = MM&B > 2 = 7 > 5 > 6 > Powered Up > 8 > 1 = SFxMM > R&F CftF

I need to play MMV and Wily Wars. WW will let me play 3 without bugs or slowdown which could be worth rating higher.

Attached: 1548633950866.jpg (1224x898, 102K)

To be fair, Mega Man X5 would have been a LITTLE bit better if it had Vile. Would've had a better sense of finality if he was the one who dropped the space colony instead of some forgotten no-name who gets away it. Not sure why they decided to add all these side-characters if they really wanted it to be the last X game.

Attached: gayfag.png (129x114, 33K)

870k in just Oct/Nov/Dec is actually quite good for the series. It should definitely make its way into Capcom's Million Club in their next Quarterly Report, along with XLC1 which did over 900k between July and the end of 2018.

11's lifetime sales might end up better than any other game in the entire franchise barring 2 which sits at over 1.5 Million.

Oh fuck, I got 5 & 6 backwards. 6 > 5

Don't forget he also flirts with Roll, "them white wimmenz be FINE"

OILED

What type of game would Mega Man 12 be?

I wish we could play as the other robot masters. Why did they have to release this on the PSP?

Attached: 12563938_p0.jpg (1274x905, 961K)

So X series to Zero series to ZX to Advent to Legends. Is that right?

Yes

user maybe other people do, nearly every megaman subseries never have a definite conclusion

IGNORE ROLL POSTERS
HIDE ROLL POSTERS
REPORT ROLL POSTERS
Only you can make Mega Man threads tolerable again.

Do they really need conclusions though? Legends, ZX, and Star Force I can understand, but I don't really see the need to see Classic and X to be concluded. Some things are better off remaining mysteries.

Attached: Classic and X.png (1000x1500, 883K)

Imagine what they could have built if they hadn't broken their friendship.

Attached: IMG_20190308_122952.jpg (1476x1240, 270K)

I bought it just in the hopes for there being a new spin-off Battle Network game.

We kind of already know, in a way.
He was still upset about things not going his way, but they remained friends in the Battle Network timeline and managed to build some pretty fantastic things.

>mega man legacy collection didn't include any of the gb games, wily wars, battle and chase, or mega man & bass
>x legacy collection didn't include maverick hunter x, xtreme, or command mission
You'll get Legends Collection 1 that includes only Legends 1 and Legends Collection 2 that includes only Legends 2 and you'll like it

Attached: MuseumCuratorConcept_MML.png (787x1965, 3.13M)

The closest thing we got is Gamma, but I doubt Wily put much effort into the project beyond making sure it would be able to help him take over the world.

I liked it, but the music was probably the worst in the series.

Who's the best robot master from 11 and why is it Tundraman?

Attached: c9169993-4613-4351-8965-9e8b1b7af397.jpg (797x1440, 436K)

5 had worse music because I can't even remember what half of it sounded like, at least with 11 there are tracks like Acid and Fuse that stand out

11 was a fairly solid though imperfect game all around but I will say it has the best weapons of any classic MM

This one, for not being a shoot-forward only idiot. How this and the Mega Arm never became standard forever baffle me.

Attached: mega upper.png (44x62, 6K)

Probably because it would break the game.

>hurr slide breaks the game
>hurr charge breaks the game
Here's an idea. Design the game around it.

I don't hate it. But it's so incredibly bland and soulless that I haven't played it ever again after I beat it.

That would be cool.

lol can't use your old "it didn't sell" meme image anymore huh?

>lmao just change the entire game so this thing can be in it

Ever think maybe they designed the game around NOT having it?

It's actually Fuse Man.

Attached: 1545945437118.png (902x1309, 368K)

Design-wise? Pic related. Not even a competition.

Attached: DzSIndAU8AEUS0A.jpg orig.jpg (1400x1050, 180K)

are there any issues with the switch version? it doesnt run at 30fps or some stupid shit does it? played the demo on ps4 and it was pretty cool.
also, i really liked mighty gunvolt burst. is the azure striker pack on switch like that game?

I have 70 hours on the Switch version and haven't experienced a single frame drop. It runs at a constant 60 FPS.

it was good, people just want to be contrarians

Smash Bros Rock is peak Rock.

PS4 technically runs the worst of all systems, all are constant 60fps but PS4 has the most input lag.

But I love it.

>is the azure striker pack on switch like that game?
Not at all, but it's still a fun couple of games.

That doesn't really count though, considering it's an entirely different universe.

The original Inafune proportions have plenty of charm but to me the Mega Man 8 artstyle is the most iconic. All of the sprites are pretty good, too, except for Wily Wars.

3rd one easily

>Implying MMBN is shit
How can you be a Megamanfag, but still judge game series from their first game?

Why was he so butthurt about the whole thing?

It was okay, but it was far, far, far too easy.
The game felt more like a power trip than a game that was meant to challenge you.
Power trips are nice in small doses, but by the end midgame I was getting bored due to how simple everything was.

I think part of the problem was that everything they gave you was good. You had a 8 good subweapons and the ability to screw shield enemies with a charged shot. You were massively overpowered compared to the levels even without the gears. The gears just made it impossible to lose.

It felt like if they were going to give you all this good shit, then the enemies and levels should have been thrown a bone too. But the game was just too easy and unengaging because the enemies weren't buffed.

Anons of exceptional taste

Attached: Optical Illusions for the Thinking Man.png (1600x1400, 679K)

i was going to say I really liked marvel vs capcom's mega man but looking back at it...he's a bit too slender than i remember.

Attached: mvc mega.gif (150x150, 48K)

You know you can play Superhero mode and abstain from weapons, gears, and even charge shots if you so desire(though I think some bosses may be too ridiculous without it), right? Do that and tell me if it's too easy.

Why didn't Megaman 11 get the same hoorah as DMC5, RE2R, and MHW? game plays fine but it didn't sell spectacularly and there's barely any discussion

Normies don't like classic Mega Man

>it didn't sell spectacularly
It did by Mega Man standards.

Yes, I guess I could do that. But that sounds more tedious than anything else.
A large part of the fun in megaman games is getting all this shit from bosses and using it.

The big problem with 11 is that all the shit you get is really, really good, but the game is still designed like you never have access to any of it.

I want to be able to play with the fun stuff without it trivializing the entire game.

Because it was never big seller for Capcom. The highest selling game, Megaman 2, only sold around 1.5 million copies, and only three other games have sold over a million. Only reason Megaman is so visible is because Capcom was able to make a shitton of games for cheap.

im about 80-90% agreeable with this.

That's how all the games are. Otherwise, you'd pick a stage and get fucked because you don't have the necessary weapon.

It's not a bad game by any means, though the Wily Castle stages felt rushed and the stage length is a bit inconsistent. The problem is that even if you take subjective ideas aside about things like the music, the Gear system and Weapons (which personally I think were done excellently), and so forth, it's Mega Man 11. That's it. It's another Classic game in a long laundry list of Classic games with some solid design and the series' first proper HD presentation on top. It doesn't really "stand out" beyond that because Classic Mega Man's been around for so long that you've probably played every Classic game before this.

Where is he, Capcom? Is he finally dead?
