Why do so few Zelda games focus on the Triforce?

Besides ALTTP (which is literally called Triforce of the Gods in Japan) the Triforce seems like an afterthought in most Zeldas. Also no Zelda game outside ALTTP treats them like conscious entities.

Who the fuck wants to explore a fantasy land and conquer dungeons just so they can get a shitty yellow triangle that effectively does nothing

>does nothing
It literally has the power to grant any wish, even turning the world into a nightmarish wasteland if its holder commands it to.

That's the problem. It's too powerful to be an interesting plot point, other than preventing the villain from getting it.

Probably because of Nintendo of America. The Triforce is pretty much a religious artifact representing divine power.

They no longer have a policy against religious symbolism and even when they did, it only applied to real world religion and never affected the Triforce.

As for the recent games, it wouldn't fit their "appeal to everyone" style and would probably send Miyamoto into a fit if they actually expanded on the Triforce. Not many people care about creation myths and god powers anymore than just having them be minor backdrops so it would be wasted effort too.

As for the older games, just the name Triforce of the Gods warranted censorship, actually focusing on it would mean the game's story having to revolve around gods, religion and divine power, which wouldn't fly. Ocarina of Time was probably pushing it in general.

Are you retarded? Several Zelda games have focused on gods.

Have you played ANY Zelda games? Most of them are about the Triforce or include it in some aspect.

>Also no Zelda game outside ALTTP treats them like conscious entities.
in what way did LttP do that?

The essence of the Triforce speaks to Link at the end of the game and tells him about Ganon, along with asking him to make a wish.

right, damn. how'd i forget about that?

Made me realise the Triforce doesnt make a single appearance in BotW

The triforce literally talks to link.

>he didnt get the secret ending and boss fight
Based retarf

It makes a tiny appearance. At this point the triforce is just a mcguffen to move the plot forward

its not really relevant to the series because, as OP pointed out, its not developed beyond that in any other game

>tiny appearance
Its literally the secret bosses weakness oh my lord shut the fuck up,where ypu to lazy to find the triforce scattered in hyrule?

Ironic shitposting is still shitposting

>Shitposting
Want me to tell you retards how to grety the triforce? One is only available to find during the ganon boss fight.
One is hidden on the tallest mountain
One is hidden inside of a shrine
You then need to go back to hyrule castle with the triforce to summon the hidden boss:corrupt link.
Corrupt link is the combined souls of all the links who died in the multiple timelines.Corrupt link has been formed from the triforces single wish given to link of “defeat the true strongest warrior” who is actually the strength in links heart.
You use the triforce to kill corrupt link and get a special costume.

Honestly how have you not gotten this ending yet?

this is some high effort shitposting

BRO just try it

You literally pray to goddess statues in BotW to increase your life/stamina

Sometime around four swords adventures nintendo just gave up on world building and started to randomly rehash plot points from previous games without understanding why they worked or how they fit in the existing world. I could even argue it started way back with the oracle games, but they at least had you exploring different lands outside of Hyrule so at least they brought something unique to the table.

In ALBW the plot is literally about Lorule trying to take Hyrules Triforce because their kingdom fell to ruin without theirs

Again this is why MM is the best damn game in the series.

>the game that has Triforce symbols on ancient blocks and pillars and has shops that sell shields with Triforce emblems despite seemingly being in a world without the Triforce is better because it doesn't put in the Triforce as an afterthought
