Imagine being so autistic you keep making this thread over and over.

What do you hope to achieve from making this thread over and over again? Do you think the person who recommended you it is going to come back and apologize?
Hunter Thomas
I enjoyed it desu
Nathan Reyes
Me too.

i can't stop making new villages, i binge 5 hours on one and to go another, HELP!

Try creating this thread a dozen times more, enlightenment is near I feel. Comfy is subjective. The game was comfy. This says little about its gameplay, mechanics, or balance merits.

It cost me like 10 dollars.
I built two towns and then felt like I had figured the game out and had no reason to keep playing it, yeah. Time played? 100 hours. I'd say that's alright for 10 dollars.
And it was comfy

I had the same experience why do my people keep dying.
Built a massive map wide city full of farms and massive major city.
THEY ALL DIE
Still had alot of resources and too much food, just weren't breeding fast enough.
I'm pretty sure the trick was that Gatherer's Huts were OP

I'ma highjack this thread to shill Dawn of Man. It's like Banished only it's got way more depth and it's REALLY fucking good and cozy. There's a little bit of everything: bein' an ooga booga caveman, livin' a tribal existence, all the way up to destroying your environment for the sake of civilized development. Fuckin', roleplay you're a bunch of old testament bible people with your lentils and Esau hunter dudes if that's what you're into.
Great game. Love it. I think I bought it two days ago and I've got 19 hours onto it already. Holy shit am I ever having a good time. Pic related is an actual in-game screenshot; you can make such nice little primitive towns. Combat is a bitch though- fuckin' wooden walls don't do shit. Also it's annoying to manage livestock.
He should get in line, we've got like 15 guys like him constantly cluttering the catalog.
Ian Lopez
Yeah, I haven't gotten to the last scenario yet but the combat suddenly got a lot worse after Bronze Age. At first I absolutely destroyed any Grog attacking my Grugs but now I regularly lose at least 5 Grugs per Grog raid. Managed to lose 11 to one earlier. Definitely need to get the full stone walls up now.
Also, I guess I can't be doing aesthetic natural borders for the warrior scenario because the pathing just doesn't give a fuck about the walls unless they form a closed circle. The Grugs scale steep mountains like it's nothing and if the wall ends in a lake they'll fucking swim right in etc.
It's definitely more of a game than Banished. Not super revolutionary but if you're into this kind of crap it's worth a shot. I've always wanted a city builder that's basically Age of Empires: City Buildan Boogaloo and this would be pretty close. Still no >Rome though.
You have far more control over your Grugs than you typically have control over your citydwellers in a citybuildan. It's almost like playing Sims with a village of Grugs. They can freeze to death, die of hunger etc. if you screw up and you can sometimes tell them to save themselves if they're just being retarded as opposed to dying in an actual famine.
It was alright. No idea how it became a favor of the month that one time. Gives me hope that my game might accidentally be popular for a split second if I ever finish it.

>stabilize food production >make ale of excess food >buy stone, iron and coal the rest of the game Every town for me I hate how quarries and mines deplete and leave their remains on the map
Benjamin Ramirez
Hi jacking this reddit thread to say both game are dogshit once you get past the surface. Theres no combat much less conflict in banished because its medivial sim city so it gets boring after you build all the shit so it can get away with being a shitty place stuff down and see it grow game. dawn of shit combat is both side running at each other chucking literal spear and arrows, there is no strategy, just bots running at each other. Like you can take a 10 minute shit at max speed can come back and literally nothing would happen during that time to the village, thats how easy the fucken game is.
Isaiah Gonzalez
it was pretty shallow yeah i got a decent amount of playtime out of it but im honestly not sure if i really had that much fun doing so
Colton Wilson

It's definitely shit. The Oogas will always find the most expedient path to your Boogas; even if it means tearing down your shitty paper mache walls. I've been lucky in that I LOVE really dense, congested, villages, and then wrapping them up in tight walls so combat has been more streamlined.
Fuck, you know what else? Bridges. Bridges are fucking broken. Dude, they don't fucking work and I hate it. There's so many situations where I could have made everyone's life so much fucking easier if the game would just LET ME build a fucking bridge, christ.

>Combat is a bitch though- fuckin' wooden walls don't do shit. Also it's annoying to manage livestock. you know you can set limits for livestock numbers and they'll automatically slaughter them right?
William Lewis
>it's got way more depth i like the game, but it's shallow as fuck
Camden Wright
Not him but, yes, it's shallow.
Though if you compare it with banished, it still has "way more depth". It's just your average city builder. The difficulty in the old ones like Pharaoh mostly comes from autistic building placement which I personally never liked one bit because it was really limiting in terms of just fucking building a cool city.
Jayden Turner
Stronghold was even easier. It doesn't work as a city builder since you can cap out in about 15-20 minutes. Banished scratches the itch, and there's not much else out there filling the same gap in the market.
