That happened to me too, I fixed it by restarting my PC, deleting the file and re-downloading the entire game.

Turn the tutorial on if you don't have it. The game will explain it.

But in short: Short press -> Does style of breaker
Long press/hold->Does special attack, breaks the arm to use the next one in the "magazine"/loadout. There's no "switching" styles unless you break the arm.

That last bit is honestly throwing me.

Basically chill out, the game isn't even two hours/a day old, so a lot of information/shit isn't going to be explained off hand. Take your time and just enjoy the game, man.

You can also slide by side-rolling. Hell, I wish the changed the side-roll into a slide for good.

As far as I can tell the other play just plays a separate part of a mission as the opposite character, you can see them in certain areas, but cant get close.

Trying to figure out what settings are particularly taxing, I have a 1050 and there's some stuttering and slowdown in gameplay and a lot in cutscenes.

Of course I don't know what it is, is there a way to check how taxed your GPU/CPU is? I also heard you can switch DX12 to DX11, would that improve things? Also BT.709 or SRGB color range?

There's definitely music, but it can get drowned out in the SFX and dialogue.

Hitting the Devil Breaker button without a directional input causes you to instantly rocket down to the ground if in air or skyward if grounded. The thing is though, it also carries nearby enemies with you to the ground or into the air and causes hitstun in 360 degrees, along with there being almost zero lag for going to the next move and continuing the combo. It's both incredibly safe and lets you start wailing on the enemies the same second you press the button.

Its also got all the normal mobility of regular Gerbera with a directional input, which in and of itself is great for getting around and avoiding hits.

Do Red Empusas try to flee as soon as they spawn, or do they only get "scared off" if they take a certain amount of damage?

I haven't felt like I did in the last minute of cavalier angelo in years. I was so hype, my attacks were stylish, I clutched royal guards, it was beautiful. It felt like I was 13 again and playing DMC3 and I was at vergil 2. I love this game so much

Maybe it's just a perception thing; he has a melee and a projectile attack, they're just represented as other characters and you don't have to position V in any meaningful way to use them.

Mission rating now depends entirely on points.
IMO they should've copied Bayo, where each fight is rated based on damage taken, time and style points, and the mission rating is an average of all fights.

That wasn't nearly as difficult as I thought it was gonna be without DT. All you really need is air hike, Exceed 3, and Max Act, though having Color Up 3 would probably speed it up a lot. The biggest annoyance was not having snatch, but the only threatening attack he has is the quicksilver orb.

The scene of him in the van is one of my favorites, he was literally too pure for this world.

Only got to mission 4, pretty fantastic so far.

Combat with Nero feels like superior DMC4 and the decision to return the Resident Evil-esque aesthetic was great.

Every cameo is a fight recorded from a previous game. When you see DMC crew, its literally a fight recorded by the devs, because if they didn't, the first few players wouldn't have anyone to see in their cameos.

- Aerial Rave seems to have been changed again, I've only seen him do one slash
- A new air move, works like helmbreaker
- A new ground stab move, kinda looks like stinger, but seems like a grab

- Summoned Swords (seem around 3SE speed)
- Spiral Swords (up to 8)
- Swords Storm (up to 8)
- Blistering Swords (up to 8)
- Heavy Rain Swords

- Doppelganger is hard to discern: it seems it works more like swords in that it can be targeted and broken, unlike previous iterations; it might cost a set amount of DT rather than constantly deplete the bar, or require a second bar like Sin DT
- DG appears to require DT to be activated, however it can stay (still as a DT) when Vergil de-DTs
- Possible delays
- DG *can* use summoned swords
- It seems Vergil has an ability to coat himself in DG to tank damage

- Blocks (one moving, one static) and parries

- Dark Slayer has trick up, static and all around movement; animation and timing wise it seems to be based on DmC's version

- And of course, his DT jet move

I have died nearly 30 times getting through DMC3SE on DMD.

Really enjoying V's playstyle the most, I hope he returns, or at least his gameplay in future games. Something incredibly satisfying about getting Griffon, Shadow, and Nightmare working together to perform launchers and combo strings while I wax poetic several feet away.

These demons are his nightmares/traumas as Nelo Angelo and not the real deal from DMC1. Hence why his human side, which has emotions, has these demons since start. Because these are his nightmares that scarred him under Mundus.

Deploy Punch Line onto the enemy and call it back, but hold the button instead of releasing. You can do tricks while on it with the buttons that aren't jump.

Hold b after you have shot out your punchline arm. Nero will hop onto his arm and you will be able to ride it.
