>there are like 30 great games forever stuck on the Wii U that nobody played
How to deal with this pain?
>there are like 30 great games forever stuck on the Wii U that nobody played
How to deal with this pain?
Half of these games are on the switch and most of these are meh or literal who’s. I wouldn’t lose any sleep over these games.
>star fox zero
that game came into my store at $7 today and i still think that's too fucking much
Out of the titles here that aren't on a different console I can only think of 101 games worth playing
>tfw knowing the shitty Wii-U Fatal Frame probably killed the ip completely
Feels bad man..
why does rainbow curse act like canvas curse never happened
The Wii U is a hidden gem when it comes to homebrew and emulation. It might not have been a very strong console for Nintendo, but for pirating it's practically unmatched. Having a library of NES, SNES, N64, Sega, Gamecube, Wii, and Wii U games available to play on a single device is fantastic.
a good chunk of those is because the hacking the virtual wii is piss-easy, right?
>meanwhile Switch STILL DOESN'T HAVE SNES GAMES
Where is Devil's Third?
lmao
>Straight up on Switch
Bayonetta
Bayonetta 2
Captain Toad Treasure Tracker
Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze
Hyrule Warriors
Lego City Undercover
Mario Kart 8
New Super Mario Bros U & Luigi U
Pokken Tournament
>Sequel that acts as a replacement on Switch
Splatoon
Super Mario Maker
Smash Bros for Wii U
>Was already a port
Twilight Princess HD
Wind Waker HD
>Not on Switch
Kirby and the Rainbow Curse
Nintendo Land
Pikmin 3
Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water
Star Fox Zero
Wii Fit U
Wii Sports Club
Wonderful 101
Xenoblade Chronicles X
>Was ported elsewhere
Yoshi's Woolly World
Zombi U
I do hope that Pikmin 3 is ported to Switch though, just so it can get a larger audience.
Don't forget that it's also the best way to play DS games.
Having the top screen on the tv and the bottom screen on the gamepad is comfy as fuck.
You only need vWii hacking for gamecube and wii games, and even then, most wii game injects work fine without it.
>Kirby
They'll probably port it over eventually
>TP/WW
Can be played on Gamecube and Wii
>Nintendo Land
Doomed
>Pikmin 3
Hopefully will be ported over
>Fatal Frame
Nintendo doesn't seem to care about Fatal Frame enough to port it over, but who knows? Doubt it though
>Star Fox Zero
Ahahahaha!
>3D world
Probably will be ported over Jan 2020. Nintendo knows how well it'll sell, and just want to have Mario Bros U sell as well as it can.
>Wii Fit/Sports
Dead.
>Wonderful 101
Probably has a decent chance of getting ported over to the Switch. It gets teased pretty often.
>Xenoblade Chronicles X
They want to port it over, but lack the funds, so who knows?
>Woolly World
Will probably get ported over in a few years.
>Zombie U
Is on other platforms.
>shitty Wii-U Fatal Frame
???
>Sequel that acts as a replacement
>Splatoon
user
>WW HD/TP HD can be played on Gamecube and Wii
lol
It's really bizarre to me that there are people that don't even know these games exist. When you owned a Wii U you just assumed the generation would be remembered well into the next. It's like the entire system has been retconned.
Well more than half of those games suck dick, so i hope you dont mean those
We're nearing the 2nd quarter of 2019 and there's no sign of Pikmin whatsoever. If you still think we're getting a port and not a sequel, you're literally braindead.
Game was shit, and sold like ass.
To be honest I have not played Splatoon 2 yet, so if you must you can add it to "Not on Switch". I would like to know what's wrong with it though.
I would like Pikmin 4, I have Pikmin 3 on my Wii U so I'm set, I just want other people to play it.
The majority of those games have ports or sequels that render the wiiu version obsolete.
I think Lego City undercover is even multiplat now.
>what's wrong with it though
Nothing
It's a sequel not MK8DX
The only remaining games on Wii U that I wish was on Switch are Zelda Windwaker HD minus the fucking bloom and D&D Chronicles of Mystara.
Why in the absolute hell was that game ported to the Wii U of all consoles!?
>Windwaker HD
>without gamepad
lol no
oh interesting, I haven't fucked with it in a long time
I put MK8 in "Straight up on Switch" for a reason, I don't think it's the exact same game with some small stuff, just that it should satiate your desire for the previous game.
Am i the only one who thought the Wii U was pretty shit? I mean smash was cool but other than that there wasn't really any titles that peaked my interest. And besides most of these are on the switch now anyways.
>Bayonetta 1+2
>Captain Toad
>DKC
>Hyrule Warriors
>LEGO City Undercover
>Mario Kart 8
>NSMB U/Luigi U
>Pokken
>Woolly World
>Zombi U
>>>>Stuck on Wii U
Is this bait? What did OP mean by this?
It literally failed because of the name. It was too confusing for normies.
Most of them are on the Switch or are multiplats. If you didn't buy a Wii U, you're not really losing 30 games, more like 3 or 4.
Honestly, the only good reason to own a Wii U is having a hacked vWii and those 30 games for free.
I mean you act like you could play those Switch games for the past 4 years
You couldn't
You didn't have access to those games
The name sucked almost as bad as the console did. Gamepad sucked, the thing was weaker than an Xbox 360 and Nintendo didn't put any games on it. The issues ran much much much deeper than the name
>Gamepad sucked
>the thing was weaker than an Xbox 360
>Nintendo didn't put any games on it
Literally all lies
What about #FE?
OP left out a few games, seems like it was bait
Does the switch version of Lego City undercover fix the loading times?
>PS3
>Irrelevant as of tomorrow
>Nobody cares
>Soundtrack does not a game make
>Fifty thousand of the exact same game on the 3DS
>Ported to Switch, also it's a fucking musou
>Port that isn't particularly stellar of a game that's not exactly stellar
>Abhorrent port of the game that defined the beginning of the end for the franchise
>Nobody cares about Legoshit
>Ported to Switch
>Who even cares
>Literally who even cares?
>What the fuck is this shit?
>Miyamoto is senile, game sucks
>Playerbase less than Titanfall 2
>CENSORED
>Spla2n is the same fucking thing
>MIYAMOTO IS SENILE, GAME FUCKING SUCKS
>Yiff in Hell
>MSRP for a computer mod
>Ultimate has been out for months. This just in: Smash isn't very fun if you're not thirteen
>Your body isn't ready
>Wii Sports: Again!
>Fun little arcade game but not worth full price
>Great alien world, fucking shit everything else. At least it ain't that embarrassing sequel.
>Nobody wants to play Yoshi's Woolie Hole
>
>PS3
We're discussing the Wii U user, are you ok? Are you having a stroke?
I fixed this for you OP. 16/27 of those games have either been ported or have a sequel on the Switch.
>Xenoblade X "sequel"
u wot m8
>I would like to know what's wrong with it though.
The maps are smaller, trivializing death even more than it was trivial in Splatoon 1. You'll might as well wait in spawn for a few minutes and just act at the end, because that's when your actions count. On top of that, things just don't feel right in Splatoon 2. Most weapons work differently, most of them were nerfed to be more specific, and the strength stat is gone, meaning even with the dynamo roller it will usually take 2 hits.
More than half of those games were either directly ported or had an appropriate continuation on the Switch
Several are ports in themselves
>I didn't like game so it doesn't count
Splatoon 2 is better than 1 in every way except for the story and final boss of the main campaign, which the greatly improved gameplay variety and the Octo Expansion more than made up for.
>>I didn't like game so it doesn't count
>ignoring that one is a spin-off and completely separate from the others
is megaman 11 also a sequel to megaman x
Reminder that Fatal Frame 5 is getting an upgraded port. Did you seriously think they'd put Yuri in Smash for the fun of it?
Was it worse than 4? That shit was unplayable and I'm surprised the franchise survived at all
I just realized I could buy a Wii u and play botw. I was never into Nintendo consoles
They obviously mean the original versions, but I really hope the HD versions get brought over to Switch. Then I could ditch my Wii U with only a couple games I would boot it up for
The Pro Controller has gyro to take care of one of those features. However I'll miss the GamePad map functionality from both the Zelda remasters if they get put on Switch
That is a lot of bing bing wahoo anono...
>we will never get another treasure tracker game
>TP HD will be tied to the Wiiu Forever
>nintendo/retro/Ninja theory will never expand on Nintendoland's Metroid Blast stuff
>there will never be another lego city undercover
>there will NEVER be another wii sports after resort
>yoshi's crafted world looks boring
>pokken will never get any new stuff
>anything dk will probably just be a DKC3 of retro's DK, instead of some new spinoff not to say their DK is bad, but the artstyle is very meh
I like to hope that they're eventually going to bring it to the Switch along with Wind Waker HD, at least I hope so
