If you're grinding in a Fire Emblem game ever you're playing it wrong. Ross is based and perfectly usable, Amelia is gimmicky paladin fodder when you already get 4 potential paladins + a GR, and Ewan is just fucking awful

The only real metric for judging how good a FE unit is, is how much time you have to invest in them before they turn out good. If you aren't trying to go for low turn counts then it doesn't matter because SS lets you grind as much exp as you like whenever you like so any character will be great if you put time into grinding them.

Never understood the hate for 12. The MU was handled way, way, WAY better than Awakening did Robin and Fates did Corrin. Kris had his own little subplot that didn't step on the toes of the original, didn't steal the spotlight away from Marth, didn't even replace original characters in dialogue when they gave Marth advice or helped him through stuff. He can support with the whole army and everyone likes him but even the ones that hint at romantic attraction never go further than just hinting at it. No marriage or kids to fuck up the pacing or characters with. It's the best way they could've possibly incorporated a self-insert.

Bow Hinoka's prf has been a real fucking champ with dispatching armors, despite me not liking Hinoka at all, she's probably one of my favorite units because of how much versatility she brings. I run a desperation/brash assault combo that lets her auto double counterattacking armors if she's at 50% or less.
The problem is getting her there without her dying can sometimes be a problem.

Klein outright beats B!Cordelia as the best Brave Bow infantry archer, while Sophia can run her prf raven tome with a EP build quite reliably now. The rest are ok, with Sonya now being able to run AoE special sets more easily.

Dude has heavy blade on his weapon, meaning Aether proccs every 2nd fight, with Vantage 3 if he's in a tight spot. He can facetank a mage so while his res is garbage he's not a sitting duck either. Had a lot of fun using him
