>Dark souls
>Four Kings
I swear they designed the boss specifically to fuck with me.

Attached: image.jpg (1691x1002, 288K)

>kill tons of generic mooks without a problem
>fuck up once and get absolutely dumpstered by one
>suddenly everything you knew is wrong

This is the boss that made me realise how important it is to stock up on shit loads of items.

I'd prefer Exveemon, but a twink is fine too.

Dude I thought it was just me that had to grind there. Thank you.

>first tried him
am...am i doing something wrong?

I still can't beat that fucker without Iron skin+full havel's and two handing the strongest weapon I can get.

Guess you're just an epic gamer user. Maybe you were better at the multi attack combos, because I pretty much never used them.

Borbs are always boss rush killers in kirby games

Attached: morpho ex.jpg (1280x720, 148K)

Me, continuously, in every single post dark souls 1 souls game when I carefully enter a new area and instantly get gangraped by 200 enemies hiding specifically for my arrival like they all had some sort of premonition of my existence years ago and set up a trap because they hate me that much.

I hate you too thanks to that faggy pic you posted you dumb cunt

was gonna post this asshole

damn user, you're missing out
getting the timing of the different tempos down can actually be kinda fun if you're as autistic as i am
may i recommend some rhythm games?

flamedramon is easy compared to the platinum cup, that dlc sidequest with myotismon/rosemon/blackwargreymon, and all of the postgame bosses.

Attached: 5f0.png (250x250, 57K)

the only boss in the game that forces you to git gud, wish there were more bosses like him

Attached: 98273498273982734.jpg (1280x720, 99K)

this fight really took me by surprise, I had to get strategic and cheese the shit out of it to win

tfw it's true

I want a flamedramon GF.

I want flamedramon to fuck my ass raw

Attached: Dave.jpg (1280x720, 89K)

not him, but what would you recommend?

pfft, that's nothing.

Attached: duftmongreatchallenge.jpg (1280x720, 139K)

the more well known rhythm based games are a given, those being the Rhythm Heaven franchise, Project Diva, Parappa the Rapper, etc.

also games in other genres with combat mechanics such as timed hits and timed blocks, for instance

yeah, he fucked me raw when I played KH2FM for the first time, on Critical.

I don't remember dutfyleopard man ever being a challenge.
And why do you have three tiger vespamon?
Why do they literally have no moves?
Did you just scan a tiger vespamon a bunch of times and throw them all in a party without raising their stats or learning new moves?

The one time pokemon is kinda hard and people just get pissed

I don't think he even survived my ExVeemon early turn, lol.

fucking this
>cheese the entire game in an hour using a rotation of Flame, Gatling and Dragon
>spend the next 3 hours ripping your hair out as Rahu tears your robo to shreds

can't you just capture it?

You can't capture a pokemon with totem auras.

>1 pokémon oneshots each one of the 6 pokemon on your team in a row

Attached: 1543171600776.png (500x522, 152K)

Pretty much every Souls game.

nope

holy shit

game?

Pokemon Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon

I don't know why they gave me so much trouble, but the all the cats in the DLC were the only ones I summoned for with any other reason than NPC story purposes.

Attached: lud_and_zallen_the_kings_pets.png (150x300, 32K)

What's the issue? You bring a completely offense-oriented team, of course you're going to eat shit when you're outsped and can't take more than a single hit.

THIS, this is way more hellish than Whitney

why the fuck is cybersleuth's second half filled with such bullshit bosses?
its like the game was made for you to break it as much as possible, and even then you can still get fucked by story bosses let alone optional ex bosses

>outsped
>only possible to outspeed it with priority or with Quick Claw
>can't take more than a single hit
>a whole team of tanks got utterly destroyed

Attached: pesci.jpg (1280x720, 236K)

It feels like it's balanced around every one of your mons having double Piercing, but they still hit as hard as if your entire team is made of bulky tanks. Whoever designed the "balance" in CS needs to be shot.

Even if you bring a tanky pokemon it's stats are so much higher since it's BST is higher than Arceus' and it gets a +1 to all stats at the start. It also has its Z-Move equipped which can easily 1 shot most things and all of his attacks are offensive. The most tanks can do is hopefully survive one hit then toxic stall since his defenses are boosted as well.

If you have a decent steel type he can't really do anything to it tho. For the record, I don't like this boss fight. You either have a steel type or sturdy/focus sash + toxic on hand and run him over no problem, or you basically have to grind since his stats are so ridiculously high for that point in the game. It's a step in the right direction from all the brain dead AI you usually have to fight, but I'd prefer a fight where the enemy employs actual strategy- like some of the battle facility pokemon- instead of hoping to just body you with stat advantage alone.

Balance my ass, developers that was doing normal and hard level had no idea what to do . Normal is to easy to play and hard is ok... as long as you don't meet any boss. Another thing is that there is no tips that voss is going to appear srls, I was brain fucked by that stupid eaters appearing out of ass a few times. In the end I give up on playing on hard, and just steam rolled on normal unitl the end

Attached: indeks.jpg (93x210, 6K)

1. Ultra Necrozma ha mega evolution stats and, as a totem pokémon, starts the battle with +1 stat boost on every stat

2. you need at least a lvl100 with a base speed of 120 to outspeed it, and almost everything in Alola has a base speed below 70 and those who have above 110 have weak Atk/SpA, the only way is through priority (and they won't even do 1/4 damage) or quick claw.

3. almost every tank will fall to Ultra Necrozma, not only due to its godlike stats and the +1 stat boost at everything but also the fact that Photon Geyser strikes on the weakest defensive stat

shit is just unfun to fight with all the aoe spam everywhere and feels almost impossible to solo with rng out the ass hoping for certain patterns while spamming the cheesiest shit possible, even moreso with the EX version

Attached: MHW-Behemoth_Render_001.png (1128x776, 574K)

>Palossand
>offensive-oriented
newfag, take a trip to /vp/

Attached: snap-yep-this-5b3284.png (800x450, 472K)

Started the game on hard, went in blind, it was rough but manageable for a while. Run into some bullshit boss that you can't out-strategize only grind up till you can stand a chance. Then I discovered the exp gain "exploit" if you want to call it that and began to enjoy the game again, looking up digivolution lines to get what I wanted but it made me realize how truly shallow the game was. There was almost no strategy to it all, even shallower than old generations of pokemon games. Soon after I stopped playing completely.
Will there ever be another good digimon game?

hard and unfair are completely different things

>playing on normal

Attached: 1549677001060.jpg (728x546, 107K)

>Toxapex
>Araquanid
>Palossand
...
>offensive
dude, Toxapex has the biggest defensive base stats in Alola and it got oneshot'd by that abomination

are (You) that redditor retard from last month who avoids watching vids with more than 7 minutes?

Hacker's Memory improved somewhat, toning down on requiring piercing moves and shitmom grinding. You still want piercing moves on some of the really late game bosses, but I recall a lot more mons having them now.

There's also next 0rder which people seem to like, and Survive which looks like an SRPG. Digimon jumps all over the place so often it feels like there's not much quality control because the QA doesn't have the time to build a stable base.

>Playing on bullshit "What if we just made all the stats 2x? That makes sense, right? That's not going to ruin the game balance and force a very select number of Digimon and ruin all fun forever, right?" mode

That final fantasy lookin motherfucker in SMRPG tore me up. Although I wouldn't really call the rest of the game "super easy."

>unironically having trouble with necrozma
still laugh at pokefags crying about wanting difficulty but this is what they call hard
so glad I didn't spend money on this shit and just emulate it

Playing Gurumin all comfy and stuff until I go to this Oblivion Abyss hellhole. Then pic related shows up. It starts pretty manageable, ignoring his stunning quakes, homing attacks, and the part where he multiplies and you have to keep track of the real deal. Then you manage to get him to half health, he says "Neo Galaxy" and you get fucked.

Attached: maxresdefault.jpg (1280x720, 110K)

isn't next order jap only? Sadly it looks pretty good from what I saw and there's still very little out on survive, correct?

No, it's in English, and yeah, it's pretty good.

On Vita, yeah. It received a huge graphical overhaul when it was released on PS4, and that got a global release.

I didn't play it but just having a sweeper with crazy coverage and absolutely insane stats isn't a good challenge. It just forces cheese tactics, like getting poison/tox on and just spamming healing items, or crazy amounts of grinding.
Facing an AI that's smart with a well balanced team is what they should be aiming for but that's too much work for gamefreak.

Fucking KH2FM
fuck you roxas

If you mod it, you can play the patched Chinese version which has a full English translation for whatever godforsaken reason.

Did the player base for that game get any greater? It was dead when I tried to play multiplayer a while ago, shame because it's an extremely fun game. Witch is an enjoyable character

Meanwhile, I'm still getting my ass thrashed by Zexion at the Underwold.

Attached: 1543702546241.png (1000x1000, 230K)

nigga just use the owl z move and anything with priority to finish it, hell dependng on the owl it migh survive and finish it with sucker punch itself

>tfw you solo it at level 60 without amulet of darkness or some uber weapon

Flamedramon is so fucking cute.

Tactic has a few difficulty spikes but it's a relatively easy game once you get Cid (or Balthier in the PSP version) on your party.

That being said, this fucking boss was a first-timer's trap.

Attached: 1445982215061.jpg (480x359, 93K)

>bring a steel type
>you take half from everything he does
>use a couple of items to lower that even more
>suddenly the all powerful sweeper cant do shit to you

The real question here is why the fuck do these people not have a steel type with them at all times. Steel types are boss.

Don't remind me.

is this karabiner or someone who studied the style really well

The official strategy guide has incorrect stats for him (it lists his stats as being the same as the bandits from GS1 if I recall correctly) and it really took me off guard when he destroyed me.
The strategy guide had both GS1 and GS2 in it. I got it for GS1 and I read it constantly while waiting for my parents to buy me Lost Age.

worse than any boss in that game, just a random encounter that fuck spams EX AOE moves.

Attached: luijet.jpg (1280x720, 145K)

>needed the trident
>you have to talk to some random npc to know this
cheeky bastards

I accidentally cheesed ultra necrozma because I just so happened to have Zoroark transform into Hawlucha. It kept spamming its psychic sig move and i just 2 or 3 shot it with dark pulse, I actually reset just to experience the actual fight. The Dexio battle later on can be cheesed like this too, it's pretty funny. Never really used Zoroark in my party before but the AI should seriously just consider using a different move if the trainer/pokemon gets a "but it failed!", pretty dumb on gamefreak's part.

Should i give USUM a chance? I absolutely hated the original Sun and Moon.

What game?

>missed whatever this was
man

No. They're just a minor gameplay upgrade and story downgrade. I enjoyed my playthrough but only because I liked the original Moon.

Attached: van_ruta_34.0.0[1].jpg (1200x800, 112K)

I wouldn't say "super easy", but Pastenak was significantly harder than anything else in the game.
>Impossibly fast and maneuverable
>Stealthy, so he occasionally breaks your lock and disappears from radar
>Fires giant barrages of missiles that fly in unusual patterns, making them harder to dodge
>Gives off ECM so his missiles are more accurate and yours less so
>Flies in clouds that are disorienting and make the HUD hard to see
>Has an (I think) infinite army of drones that are also impossibly fast and maneuverable
The only saving grace is that he sometimes flies slowly in a straight line for a few seconds for no real reason.

Attached: Untitled.jpg (480x360, 15K)

Why don’t they just use X special defense or whatever? That stuff trivializes most fights in Pokemon.

Spekkio from Chrono Trigger can choke on my fat chode.
Fuck that fucking rat bastard.

There's more interruptions and bullshit stopping you every dozen steps or so. More story text boxes before the E4 than the first three gens combined.

That said, the mon variety and exploration aspects are remarkably strong. The ultra beasts and warp holes are some of the best side content in any Pokemon game, and there are a ton of places that are legitimately enjoyable challenges.

If you have the patience to mash through text boxes literally all the goddamn time, and enjoy the core pokemon experience it is worthwhile. However, if the first island's interruptions seem off putting, things only get worse the further you progress.

I didn't have any trouble with him and he was the first boss. What does he do that's supposed to be problematic?

Because you'd still die.

He was easy. Thunderblight, on the other hand...

Attached: 1551994987108.png (400x440, 222K)

she kicked my shit in several times on her second encounter. Altho it's partly b/c i wanted to kill her with coyote for some reason

Attached: ayame.jpg (467x550, 96K)

Damn, there is a lot of cool stuff in USUM/SM games i want to be able to like, like the Alolanmons and Alolan formes and shit. But the game is such a slog to get through that i'll never be able to experience it.

Guess i'll have to wait for a romhack to add the kewl Alola stuff in or something.

The final boss of The World Ends with You is retarded.

When i first played this as a kid i didn't understand the dungeons and dragons system at all so my character was all sorts of fucked, and i stood no chance, i ended up having to cheese him by placing a bunch of mines and than baiting him into it.

He's easy now, but damn.

FUCK

Attached: CD1569BE-3F2D-4E82-BABC-E6BDA8DF49C5.png (200x192, 52K)

I guess now I know what to look up, but the magic of spotting it in the wild has been lost.

It's basically the same. Of all the "3rd versions" (Yellow, Crystal, Emerald, Platinum, B2W2, none in gen 6, and USUM) I would say USUM is the second-least changed after Crystal.

Sword and Shield are bringing back “Gyms” with whatever gimmick it is this time but i really hope we get Pokémon Boss fights again, those were fucking awesome

Only boss in the whole Reignited trilogy that I died to, and I died multiple times. What the fuck, man.

Attached: gulp.jpg (1280x720, 121K)

If you hated SM then USUM isn't gonna change that whatsoever.

The biggest positive change is an actual postgame, so if S/M having fuckall in that regard was a factor in you hating it then there's at least that. Otherwise, it doesn't change nearly enough to warrant making another pair of games.

>both of them field pokemon weak to water
>its a double battle and surf hits both enemies
>you literally MUST have surf on something to have gotten to their fucking island

I prefer a fat Leomon or Flamedramon.

games where if your protag faints you insta-game over and there's easy ways to revive party members otherwise piss me off

M&L partners in time

Cyber Slut is just horribly balanced on hard mode. I stopped having fun by the time the Royal Knights were introduced until i swapped to Normal, which was a little too easy instead.

The DLC bosses were absurdly tough even on Normal too, i have no idea how you are supposed to do those on Hard besides for Belzemon and Lucemon's third form since you can cheese them with invul skills.

I'd fuck his ass raw.

Pokémon Yellow.
The first gym is incredibly unfair. And it's not like the game teaches you at all about the few Pokémon that will learn a fighting move levelling up or that the evolved form of Caterpie knows a special move which exploits their low Special.
And you can't obtain any Water or Grass Pokémon or anything else using special Attacks so they missed what could have been a great tutorial on type advantages.

For a 6 year old, that was pretty difficult and I ended up training Pikachu until it could beat them anyway, which is still dumb since there are so few trainers in the early game.

Out of the double armful of casual filter battles this game had,

This one skinned your ass raw if you weren't ready for it.
