good thing the combat actually requires IQ points, so that dosent really matter

>Fromsoft combat
>requiring more than room temp IQ

>Yea Forums shitposting
>requiring more than talking out of your ass for no reason

He's right Sure, you may need to memorize the patterns but you gotta have fast reflexes.

name 3 games that require higher IQ with battles Ill wait :)

I agree, darksouls and kingsfield combat can be done by a fucking child, however sekiro looks challenging. Of course i could be wrong and this game could be a fucking cake walk, but if there is a genuine innovative challenge, then humanoid combat is perfectly justified. It seems to be justified so far. We will see

DMC
Any strategy game
Disgaea

he said higher IQ

Oh look, a dmcfag

Monster Hunter
Nioh
Ninja Gaiden

Good. Those are always the best.

Is this game anti boomer? I’m old and slow as fuck and I feel like this game will kick my ass but I love the period and setting.

I know

oh so you just misspelled MVC

Yes.
GTFO Gramps, only cool fast bois with ADHD are allowed.

>These babby-tier games are slightly harder then this babby tier game!!!!
cringe

Yes if you’re older than 18 this game will kick youre ass

All the best fights are humanoid vs humanoid. When you get big monsters you get ankle hitting

Well then, o wise and knowledgeable user, would you be so kind as to enlighten us with what you think is better?

>3rd person action games
>high IQ
starting to think you genuinely are a child

the best ones are humanoid
do you seriously want a camerabeast where bonk their heads and limbs repeatedly until it dies?

>oh shit I don't have an answer
>I know, I'll call him a child, that means I win

dune RTS, mechcammander, starcraft, tekken, marvel 2, virtua fighter, guilty gear, chess.
name one (1) third person action game that is harder then these

Those are the best fights though.

>DMC
Are you serious?

That doesn't justify just making boring humanoid bosses, the answer should be to make monster fights better.

He's right you know
Soulshit has bottom of the barrel combat mechanics

DMC's combat has more options but I don't think it really requires a higher IQ to utilize. Most enemies are just combo fodder goons. Maintaining your style meter for the sake of S ranks does take some knowledge, but aside from a few bosses I wouldn't say it requires anymore thought from the player than Souls to simply progress. Enemies and bosses don't require DMC's depth. The style meter does, and that's what DMC (especially from 3 on) is really about.

>Enemies and bosses don't require DMC's depth
But that's wrong. Most enemies maybe, but bosses absolutely require knowledge of game mechanics, ESPECIALLY on DMD.
Souls meanwhile, you can just get the biggest dick weapon you can find and roll -> r1. And I actually platinumed most of them.

it's just faggot Yea Forums being contrarian again. souls combat is boring shit that zoomers can get through. This game's parry looks more lenient than souls parry. I would be willing to bet that it works like royal guard in DMC, where depending on which frame you parry on the stronger the stagger + more posture damage.

Yeah I am. There's a reason that top souls streamer said DMC2 was his favorite, because the rest of the games the combat was too intense for him

*crickets*

Ninja Gaiden Black

Haha get rekt old man.

Those are the best fights you idiot.

>but bosses absolutely require knowledge of game mechanics
The duel-style bosses (Nero Angelo, Vergil, Agni and Rudra and so on) definitely demand a lot from the player, but even their demands revolve around awareness and timing from the player more than full utilization of the move set. Unless, of course, you're trying to maximize your combos.

DMC absolutely has a higher skill ceiling. But in general I really don't find it more demanding than Souls games. Faster-paced, certainly, though. Maybe I just suck at Souls; I found Nioh a lot easier to come to grips with.

This nigga said chess lmao

>not playing the most high IQ, competitive, and balanced game ever made

>>>/overwatch/

>final boss is a white heterosexual man

>you zig I zag
>standard copy paste strategies
>can be pro after watching a YouTube video
Yeah, nah gtfo fag. Chess requires no skill.

u can evidently grapple onto large enemies and slash at them mid-air

videogames?

This game is gonna be the GOAT. Bloodborne felt like some last minute thing From threw together and felt too easy and lacked build diversity. Great level design, possibly the best in the series but the fact that it was PS4 exclusive gave it too much fanboy praise. Sekiro is built from the ground up, not as a souls clone and it genuinely looks better.

question for fromsoft fags
How is Tenchu?

worked for dmc5

How do you know he's the final boss?

I'm betting it'll be a giant dragon and you get your revenge probably around 1/2 the game.

>no coop
>no pvp
Into the bin this trash goes

>no coop
>no pvp
nice, no more reddit metashitters

It's a stealth game, not an action one.

I played OG Tenchu on PS1 and...the one on XBOX (forget the number).

It's alright if you want a stealth game set in Feudal Japan.

>Bloodborne felt like some last minute thing From threw together
Are you sure this isn't DaS2 or 3?

like clockwork

I think DMC, and other hack n' slash, or whatever they call the gender, have the advantage that if you really get the mechanics, you get rewarded, beating the boss in a optimized way while still getting styles feels rewarding, Soulsgames doesn't have anything like that.

__:^)___

Tenchu doesn't have that much to do with From. If you're into ninjas and stealth it's worth a play, but I couldn't get into them myself. They have cool ideas though.

>Nioh
I love Nioh but come on, man. Most of the game's difficulty comes from equipping yourself right.

I preordered it. Fuck, there are three developers that i trust blindly: From Soft, Rockstar and CDPR. Since these guys don't pump out games every year, i buy them day one.

I can't trust Fromsoft anymore after DS2 and DS3

>thinks chess with over a billion different moves and strategies is easier than any videogame
this is why the human race is getting dumber

I'm just going to replay Demon's and Dark Souls. I'm not really into the samurai thing.

The only final boss (moon presence is a secret boss) that was like that was Nashandra and it was shit.

>>>/chess.com/

I love chess, but see moves is a talent that comes with experience. IQ helps the good players, but on average, playing chess is not indicative of being smart. Even being good at chess is not indicative of being smart

unreal

I doubt it. Most games are trials of persistence, so boomers have are better at them. Having reflexes only gets the kids so far. Most zoomers don't even finish the games they buy.

I'm 30 and Bloodborne was a cakewalk for me a few months ago, this is supposed to be the most casual one. They all have r1 spam and easy dodging .

Youre moving the goalposts, being a higher IQ game does not make a player automatically high IQ if they play the respective game. There is no game where this is necessarily the case. BUT there are some games that are quite literally, objectively, more complicated. Chess is one of those games.

Which do you prefer for a final boss fight?
>Both protag and antag start off with everything they got and are still fighting to the point when it's just their bare hands
OR
>Both protag and antag start off with their bare hands and each time the antag gets beat he and the protag powers up to a new form/different phase to the point when it's everything they got both to throw

God Hand I guess. Nigga Gaiden.

Were you hoping for gigantic monster with ~le god of war quick time events to finish the game OP?

C. Both start off with all of their equipment, as they fight and power up they destroy all of their shit. Then at the end when they've exhausted all of their energy and stuff they fist fight in the rain giving their last and going off sheer will.

Nah, more of the opposite to be honest.
