I'd buy a zord/monster brawler in a heartbeat.

Drakkon is Tommy from an alternate timeline where he chose to remain loyal to Rita even after the rangers broke her spell on him. Zordon created the white ranger powers for Jason (since Tommy wasn't there to take them) but Drakkon broke into the command center, killed both Jason and Zordon, then took the white power coin and combined it with his green power coin. With no rangers to stop him, he ends up conquering earth in his universe.
He can also use the other rangers' powers to make "ranger sentries" which are basically his footsoldiers. The mastodon sentries are one of them

I never realized how much people actually "liked" Tommy until I saw him in Zeo and then way later in Dino Thunder.
I then later realized it was just purely market push because he was the only Ranger with a marketable reputation.

You're pretty right-on based on my experience (I only recently started getting to it because of this game, I only remembered the ones I saw as a kid from reruns or new-at-the-time airings). Neo-Saban is mediocre-to-shit except for Dino Charge, and even then Super Dino Charge falters a little.

I don't think Sentai has ever had a good video game. Maybe in the famicom days where you couldn't just shit out minigame collections. Maybe it's all just in the passion of the ones making it? This definitely feels more like a passion project, and putting it at a budget pricetag and trying to sharpen the gameplay more and more before release definitely suggests these guys care about the end product and the property in use.

Man that show was just 50 episodes of wasted potential. I feel so burned out on sentai after wasting a year on that crap that I'm only barely keeping up with the tournament arc and I have no plans to even bother with the new season after it.

I feel like this wave of disappointment and resentment towards sentai hits me like every two years anymore. I got into toku because of Gokaiger but ever since Kyoryuger's bad case of becoming Daigo Sentai Kingranger burned me I've only been able to enjoy ToQger and Zyuohger. Every other season either pissed me off or bored me so much I didn't even bother finishing it.
