I am extremely happy with how Blue Mage was released. It really revived in me the sense of wonder and leveling from Runescape in a nostalgic way. It also led me to finally starting Eureka which I was scared to go into because I thought the grind would be too much. Blue Mage single handily gave me 100 hours of content I would not have done otherwise and I will always be thankful for that. Eureka and Blu are my favorite content and I hope Shadowbringers have more content exactly like them now.

You can extend literally any buff that's applied by you. If the timer is green then CO/TD will extend it.

2.X stuff is meh, but ends well and then does nothing with it. HW is pretty strong, bit of a lull early in the 3.X story until you get to another high point, though.

Tanks on this game are generally retarded because the average player is generally retarded, the only difference is dps can just dodge shit and faceroll their keyboards.

bard gets minimum 1000 potency out of 1 GCD (iron jaws) within that window in addition to at least 720 potency from an empyreal and bloodletters, and that's assuming they get 0 procs

when i am in eureka and once a NM has been killed my fps drops to like 1 ever 4 seconds and the game starts to disconnect, sometimes it crashes out, i have no idea what causes it but when i was on dx11 the game would just straight up freeze and crash, so being on dx9 at least lets me play the game more but i dont really know what to do anymore since i have done all the general troubleshooting.

Hot opinion coming in: Eureka relics is the best relic implementation gameplay wise because it doesn't require all the bullshit busywork of arr and hw ones.

You're not going to clear it with pugs user. It requires some basic level of coordination at least just for bringing functional team comps and logos actions. A full pug group will end up with like 3 tanks, no sacrifices, and will fail the dps check on AV let alone Ozma. All you have to do with discord is join the public channel, mute everything but the LFG bot, and queue into it like duty finder.

Grinding mobs is infinitely more boring than afk train. When you afk train you can actually switch to do other stuff, like shitpost on Yea Forums, which makes it fun. When you grind you need to involve yourself into migraine inducing lightshow of caster particle effects.

If you know the healers you can just go magic burst or something instead of Cure II but never trust randoms to do anything right. It is it's super easy. I think I wiped twice on it before clears and the only thing that goes wrong is the tank who picks up the orbs when Ozma goes square just forgets, picks it up too late and blows up the platform. Nobody gets meteors wrong at this point in the game and you just have to make sure they hear "BACK AND LEFT" or "BACK AND RIGHT".

Jesus christ remove the NMs, they're the worst thing in eureka. It was fine in Pagos but since everyone cried (because they were forced into eureka) these shit fates are cranked up to 11, they interrupt your camp constently, you have to run there, enter an unfunny lagfest then run back to camp at which point you have to run back out again because another one spawned. It sucks, let us grind in peace damn it.

what makes a good server?

Dexterity, swiftness, alertness and a good figure.

On the same DC as a good raiding server, active community, active market boards and the state of the people around Limsa aetheryte.

NMs can be quicker to get light than dragon runs. Getting a chain of 30 just to get no light or feeble sucks.

It used to be that the exp curve was in unison with the light grind but they quickly threw that away and now you have to grind exp and light separatly.
Anyway FATEs are just FATEs we all know why they suck, i have no problem mounting my own party out of thin air everytime i enter an instance so let us fucking grind mobs and be cozy without having to run around at the speed of light.

I'm playing at the moment and it feels like it is finally starting to wind down. I think the biggest server has a couple of thousand and the smaller ones 200-300 players online at prime hours across the globe. That said, given it's team is probably a few interns in a side office at this point, they could in theory keep it on life support as long as there are enough players that it justifies their pay and the electricity it costs to run the servers.

Then again, depending on whether the mobile project ever makes it out of development, they may well kill it finally to try and shift remaining players over ti XI Gatcha Edition.

It's a melancholy feel to play the game in its current state, especially remembering how active it used to be. It feels alien to see the Lower Jeuno auction houses either empty or with one or two AFKers next to it. To see Aht Urghan a total ghost town except for the five or six people who will turn up to a Besieged. To be able to go kill any given NM, even ones on 24h spawns, because the are likely just wandering their spawn point. I know there is a semi-active endgame still, with those remaining player numbers all condensed into it, but it would be almost worth them just letting people run their own single-player server via virtual machine software or some shit.

There's no mention anywhere in the game or the lore books that this is a thing that Dark Knights do, so manifesting portion of their own personality into existance using soulstone as catalyst seems to be WoLs thing.

Eitherway, "Justice demands no less" is both a better line and more fitting one, playing off Fray getting told off by WoL when he complained about being used.

We don't really have much DRK lore though. Sidurgu is still relatively young himself, there might be a lot Ompagne didn't have time to teach him (and the original Fray). Maybe we'll learn more about the Abyss and DRK powers' origins in ShB.

Nah, there will always be single-player FFs, because they know there are customers who don't play gacha. Or phrased better; why not both? They can make both, especially given how little effort gacha are, while using the 'big' titles to show off, grow tech, and sell consoles.
