I like the combat better than SD3. SD2 gave you more freedom while SD3 was rigid and just spam A to win and also the spells constantly pausing the action was awful.

I'm still disappointed SD3 didn't really do anything to improve the series. It just replaced spamming magic with spamming buffs and special attacks. It feels like it leans more towards the turn-based aspect while SD2 at least felt a little more Zelda-like.

The problem with KH2FM is that anything in that game that doesn't directly involve the combat just isn't fun or good. The gummi ship levels still feel like filler, there's basically no level design to speak of, and a lot of the non-gameplay aspects aspects are also weak as hell.
