This is why Sonic can't have good games. The retarded "fans" demonize the best games in the series.

Yeah it's good, except for the story, the character models, the voice acting, and the gameplay. But if you're just looking at the levels and listening to the music it's good. It's just trying to actually play the game that sucks.

Heroes, like most Sonic games around that time, had a lot of problems but was a generally good game. It's a shame Sonic Team never doubles down to iron out kinks- SA1-Sonic Heroes could've been godly if given a competent dev team.

The Classic level aesthetics are a lot better than SA2's shitty realistic approach that would later give us Sonic 06. Also Egg Fleet in general is kino as fuck.

The story is as good a story as you need for a level based sonic game
The character models are cute and well animated
The voices are repetitive and some of them may annoy some people, but they never bothered me

Talking during gameplay is fucking kino
heroes, KIU etc all have it and it makes the game much more engaging

The story is a huge step back from SA1/2. Going from Shonen-kino to Saturday Morning Cartoon was a huge downgrade. SA1/2 were in that sweet spot between the boring nothing of Heroes and the Trying-Too-Hard of Sonic 06.

The character models are awful, animated like shit, look like plastic toys. They somehow look even WORSE in the pre-rendered cutscenes.

The voices are atrocious, replacing Tails' voice actor with an actual child was retarded. Other characters like Charmy are equally grating and awful. And on top of the worse voice acting this is the one game where they never ever shut up, they're constantly spouting off the same inane comments over and over in the overly long, boring repetitive levels you have to play four fucking times.

Sonic Heroes is literally a retarded babby game.
Generally a good platformer with horrible bugs and atrocious port jobs.
Only reason this thread exists is because 2000's babs are nostalgic for their first sonic game.

Not the way Heroes does it. Sa2 did it right with crazy gadget, cannon's core and that one rouge where it actually adds tension and atmosphere to the level. The characters screaming tutorials and stating the fucking obvious is fucking annoying and retarded

Depends. Heroes has some great lines in the levels too, like Knuckles referencing Mushroom Hill Zone. I think the shitty ones are the ones that are repeated in every single level over and over like "look at all those eggman's robots!" If you take out those but leave the unique ones, that'd be perfect.

I missed that one... But I very much enjoyed all of heroes apart from the special stages

A couple good lines can't save the mountain of shit line you have to endure the whole game.
