1. a cheaper pricetag
2. technology to move forward so getting a device capable of running VR games is fairly cheap
3. more games, the majority of the stuff in VR's library is bargain bin wii shovelware

1. VR devices are now around 200-250 compared to 500 last time
2. It is moving forward thanks to VR knuckles
3. There's barely any 10 minute tech demos. Actual full games are released with many about to release by AAA studios

Full dive, the current VR will never be anything more than a gimmick.

Oculus is 400, Vive is 600

Porn.
I'm not joking. And as long sjws keep preventing it, VR will never widely take off

Which third world are you in? Oculus is 350 with 7 free games in the microsoft store and HTC vive is 500 with the whole setup and some games.

You can even look it up, where are you getting these prices? also, HMDs are 250-300 bucks

I just want to be able to fuck characters like Tails/Klonoa/Asriel in VR. I can't believe it's existed for this long and that's not a thing.

there's plenty of vr porn
it's decent but not amazing

It needs a huge price cut

It needs to be free, and even then you're only going to attract a niche market in the long term.

>VR devices are now around 200-250 compared to 500 last time

No one is going to spend more than $500 on a videogame, don't you remember the PS3's horrendous start?

This might be it, VHS took off because the availability of porn

I'm gonna be honest, I love playing Firewall on PSVR.

I know, that's why I'm saying the price entry is no longer a problem

I have an Oculus and it really needs some real games. Personally I use it for sims and its great for that, but for the average normal person it needs more than waggle games

you would need to get the entire cost down to ~$500, headset sensors and CPU, for it to really have a surge like the Wii, otherwise its just too far out of the realm of acceptable expense for anyone who isn't a basement dweller

I think the biggest thing that will improve the possibilities for VR is figuring out a good movement system.

Its hard to tell just from watching footage but most VR games seem to use REALLY clunky systems to move around. Stuff like aim and point to teleport, or exaggeratedly waving the controllers back and forth to shuffle forward, etc, all look awful to play with and I imagine are awful to actually design a game around.

Exactly, the whole console + VR + Controller needs to cost $500 at most. Otherwise people will just ignore it or buy a version without the VR.

not be so fucking expensive

>ib4 muhhhhhhhhh poorfagggggggggggggg

literally your only argument shitheads

No worries mate, it will inevitably become cheaper over time, thank god for capitalism

>200-250
I'd still need to pay extra to add fucking glasses to those things

the only way people will stop complaining about VR is when we get full dive systems, until then it's all just a monitor strapped to your face with wagglan shit

well get ready to wait maybe another hundred years then
