higher fps objectively is nicer to look at
Lol
People that spend a lot on hardware are more likely to be into and play the video games they bought the hardware for more. Even retards in the Twitter comments for this figured that out.
direct link to full Nvidia article with the math and methodology. It's non-biased and the same metrics work for AMD since only performance is graded.

About to say the same thing.
>shoots your argument down
No surprise there. Higher FPS, lower latency, less noticeable performance issues when the frames dip due to the higher buffer, smoother experience for more precise tracking, etc.
Nice try Nvidia
So now they want us to turn off ray tracing since there's not a GPU currently existing that can do ray tracing at 144 FPS.
This. Just a marketing ploy to sell higher end products. Even a 1060 can hit 144 FPS in CS...

>somehow just having a 1060 instead of a 1050ti improves your performance at the same framerate
lmao
The entire article only uses Nvidia cards as a baseline. The results equally apply to AMD and Intel and anyone else that wants to throw their hat in. Of course they'd use their own GPUs as the baseline. It's their damn study.
The end result is solely about FPS, not about the card. More reading, less paranoia.
You should probably learn to read charts before commenting on them.
I think the increased fidelity at 4K is a bigger improvement over better frametime 2bh
Maybe you should, too. The chart claims you get a 10% better K/D on 60hz monitors just for upgrading your graphics card.
Everyone has their opinion on that. But the trend I see is PC gamers value FPS over resolution, and console gamers don't care either way. The only people that get really passionate about 4k are sheep chasing the meme and marketing departments (because they make great screenshots)
Oh my god. Seriously, you're embarrassing yourself.
Usually more hardcore playerbase buy 144hz/240hz monitors. So, statistics kinda rigged.
But i agree that 144hz is good for multiplayer games and doesn't matter in singleplayers.
I know, interacting with a retard can be pretty humiliating sometimes.
The chart is only talking about FPS. The increase in overall performance (graphic settings, responsiveness, etc) isn't covered in the graph. That is the different you're seeing. Idiot.
Hmm. So it gives you a bigger increase if you're on 144Hz monitor? You know what this means right? It means the guy with the 144Hz has been playing in suboptimal conditions for his refresh rate. Only when he got a better card could he reach the FPS needed. Meanwhile the 60Hz guy barely got any increase. The conclusion here is not that more FPS makes you better, but that correct FPS for your monitor refresh rate makes you better. Solution? Don't buy a fucking 144Hz if you can't FPS higher than 60.
Whoah I didn't realize paying NVidia more Israel-bucks reduced my input lag.
