Why are Latin American games getting a lot of success in Japan?
Patobox (a game developed in Mexico) is getting a physical release in Japan for Switch and Vita because Japanese loved that game too much and it was Suda51 favorite game
VA11 HALL-A , a game developed by Venezuelans is getting a physical release there too
They make better movies than usa, and now they will make better games than their microtransaction filled shit. With music i don't know, but anything is better than that trash trap that's so popular in usa right now. And there is way less SJW propaganda.
Anthony Sullivan
Japanese don't pirate for starters.

Nice to see Latin Americans creating great games
Samuel Wright
>still no phone port even though they announced it alongside the vita port at least there's an unofficial one
Brandon Anderson
Who are the Vallhalla devs? I've never seen their mentioned by the Venezuelan geek and otaku community.
Fun fact: The Latinamerican voice actor for Sonic is Venezuelan. He got picked for Sonic Boom's dub by Netflix after being discovered through fan dubs on YouTube. The guy is pretty chill
John Rodriguez
Just found their twitter pages. The director hasn't twitted since 2018 and the other twitter account just RTs fanart. Glad to see they're keeping politics out of their game, but it's odd nonetheless, lots of Venezuelan artists and professionals sometimes talk about the political shit going on there.
Robert Bailey
>And there is way less SJW propaganda. Someone hasn't seen Roma. I don't know what you're talking about though, sure, Mexico has a better ratio of good movie releases, but then again, Mexico produces a lot less movies than the US. There's lots of SJW movements here, and with a leftist president, it's kinda going that way from now on.
Samuel Anderson
Wasn’t Fight N Rage developed by Uruguayans? Pretty good. I’m also wanting for Hearth Forth Alicia.
Bentley Barnes
They managed to get out and live the weeb dream
Carson Foster
>developed by Uruguayans Those people are so quite, Jesus Christ. Do Paraguayans and Uruguayans even exist? I hear more about fucking Bolivia than them
Jaxson Campbell
I mean, they've mentioned they want out of the country but afaik they haven't been able to yet despite the success of the game.
>They managed to get out and live the weeb dream Is there a source for that? Like, I also got out, but it's just odd that their game is in Chinese, Japanese, but not Spanish, and they practically avoid talking about the current situation I know a few people that avoid talking about what's going on, but it seems hard to believe that they just won't talk about it. Well, maybe they are the children of some high rank government official and have to keep their mouth shut or whatever. >Still in Venezuela Jesus Christ, just fucking get out, if the game was a success, you can get out, ask for refuge in Chile or whatever and set up a Patreon to boast the development of N1rvanna
Christian Barnes
Heart Forth Alicia looks so damn good
Unironically, can be one of the best metroidvania ever
Logan Martin
>but it's just odd that their game is in Chinese, Japanese, but not Spanish sukeban.moe/index.php/faq/ >Why is VA-11 Hall-A not in Spanish if you are from Venezuela? >Because a translation costs time and money that we did not have during production, and it was better business to make the game of zero in English.
Carson Gomez
go look up rage of the dragons, i think latin american style almost always just apes the shit out of japanese stuff and so to them it just reads as a total love letter, whereas in NA a lot of that stuff is considered pedantic or stupid or juvenile. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evoga due to the inconsistent nature of the economy over there it was a lot harder to establish actual companies, with the indie upsurge- potential is returning.
>Is there a source for that? I talked to two of the devs at TGS
They could've been lying but I dunno
Jeremiah Taylor
Is this the third world gaming thread? You're all worthless trash and the world would be better if you all died and someone competent owned your land.
Kayden Wright
Fuck off larping Argentinian, our left is not gringo left and our politics orbit more common sense subjects than debating whether Capitan America is sexist or not.
Ian King
I'm not Argentinean, quit your schizophrenia, mate. I moved to Mexico a year ago. Mexico isn't some promised land, quit bullshiting yourself. It isn't better than Uruguay, it isn't better than Chile and it certainly isn't better than lots of European countries. People come to Mexico to party and vacation, not to live here. Ask all of those Europeans and Americans you see in Zócalo. Just about 5% will tell you they're willing to stay and live here.
They say, and I quote: if I stay here, then I'd have to send my children abroad because no company is going to pick a Monterrey Tec graduate before an MIT or Cambridge graduate.
And yes, your politians suck, all of them, you're being governed by the same scum you criticize, but these are openly leftist. Good luck with Morena, we are all going to need it.
Mason Barnes
Where are you from?
Matthew Reyes
>The director hasn't twitted since 2018 Maybe they died in the riots.
Wyatt Thompson

Jaxson Carter
Wait what, how is mexico making better movies?
