Why does every Kingdom Hearts game HAVE to have some completely bullshit half-baked minigame thing you are forced to master in order to get 100% completion? What is Nomura's fucking problem? Can he even make a game if it doesn't have a fucking garbage mini game in it somewhere?

Games designed for small children are expected to have minigames.
Because the these are literally for children like those carnival theme wii shovelware games
Is KH the only JRPG you ever played or what?
I feel like this is a problem in every good action game, some kind of minigame to break up the action but it just ends up boring you to death.
prime example is that shmup section in bayonetta which is in the same level as the best boss fight in the game
Where are the minigames in Pokemon games, aimed at an even younger demographic?
You dont need to 100% them dood
have you played a pokemon game?
Yes you do. There's a trophy for 100%ing Flick Rush and you even get a Keyblade for finishing it.
What minigames are there in any mainline Pokemon game that use totally different gameplay mechanics than the rest of the game? There's, what, slot machines that you don't have to play? The Surfing Pikachu thing? Taking pictures of Pokemon in SM?
there's at least one in every game
Feel free to tell me what they are, friend. Also let me know if they are anywhere near as involved as 100 Acre Wood in KH1/2, Atlantica in KH2, or Flick Rush and need to be done to get important items.
That minigame is literally the only good thing DDD though because it's just CoM's card break mechanics.
It's more like if Chain of Memories was fucking garbage and everything good about it was taken away or ruined.
Did 2FM even have a half baked minigame?
Not to defend it, but DDD was a handheld game and Japanese love this kind of stuff. Simple and enjoyable stuff you can do between train rides that you can pick up and go at anytime.
Diamond and pearl had that pokemon dress up shit and making those cake things
I feel like the tigger minigame is weird, feels like they gave that one to a intern.
>Atlantica
>everything in 100 Acre Wood
>all the stupid jobs in Twilight Town
I guess I'll give you those.
I think the jobs are actually really good way to get you into the game and help you with overall control.
Skate board - this one lasts like 10 seconds, use it for money grinding
Ball bouncing - help with timing and perspective shifting, locking on isn't always the best option
Kart shit - less combo's can be more, just wailing on something endless can waste time
Posters - getting used to the jump mechanics and pretty fun minigame to figure out the routing
junk clean up - angeling and back to the less is more
bee's - just use magnet bro
>picks the most easily defensible of the ones I mentioned to talk about
The only good Winnie the Pooh minigame was the one where you're riding on the honeypot and going through the pages of the book
youtube.com
Winnie the pooh stuff is alright. The tornado shit is inoffensive and the honeypot ride is easily the best winnie the pooh anything we have ever gotten in KH. Tigger's bouncing shit was weird and the most half baked minigame. Cave exploration is cute as hell but annoying on replays, and the pooh toss is alright.
I really don't like doing Atlantica every time I start a new game, but the songs are good and the button timing isn't very difficult. Would rather have kh1 type atlantica though.
>the songs are good
The ones taken directly from the movie, sure, the rest no
I don’t remember this being remotely difficult, just stop using shitters
