i assume you mean in the human centipede style
>hikki that had been shut in for years not only welcomes his childhood crush into his room but also leaves the house the day to meet his old friends
>he's completely unfazed by it
>the norwegian monster's iconic face was made by the thing awkwardly melting it's head onto it's victim like a microwaved G.I.Joe figure

To this fucking day i still dont know who or what sew all that people
the balloons
pretty sure it was people sewing people as a kind of crazy cult thing.
it would be extremely painful!
The cult hypnotized people through the radio or flyers, the people were unaware of what they were doing
>throw out all the practical effect and replace them with CGI
I'll never understand it. If you ever want to see what happened to that stuff watch the movie Harbinger Down.
That makes sense.

Literally nothing wrong with well made cgi

call me a boomer but I think cgi is just soulless
Oh yeah, it's really terrible, but it was interesting to see what happened to their shit.
Nothing against CGI but I think if you're going to make a The Thing prequel you should use practical effects.
like if that Dark Crystal Netflix show came out and they replaced all the Jim Henson puppets with CGI. It's kinda disingenuous. Soulless as Yea Forums would say.
I'd originally assumed it was the Thing dividing into two "men". I dunno why it decided to just fuse with this one dude and drag him along lmao.
