wrong

I'm not wrong. ACII is AC1 for the Marvel audience.

these games had soul up until revelations though

Revelations is soulless

Nah, Ezio finding Altair was kino.

All the AC games up to and including 3 were great. Everything after was complete dogshit and reddit bait.
AC4 marked the death of the series

>including 3
wrong

But it's the exact opposite.

AC1 is one of the most soulless, boring games I have ever fucking played in my entire life. That entire experience was just a blur devoid of any form of fun. The game so strongly lacks anything even remotely resembling "soul", that I am convinced it is a product of the devil and will condemn you to eternal hellfire if you play it.

Compared to what ubi promised to what we got, all of AC are souless trash

shit taste

shit bait faggot

4>>piss>>shit

The series died when Desilets left.

Retarded pirate/gun fags
Please go play your shitty Assassin of Duty 7 and post about it on reddit.

Attached: 1548812529164.jpg (250x240, 7K)

It’s funny how the entire series is actually underrated. 1 is easily the worst game. Name a comfier series. You literally can’t.

literal retard
BF is the only good game because it has next to no typical AC gameplay

colonial america was the dullest setting they've ever used and if you disagree you're probably an americuck who thinks watching old men sign the declaration of Independence is thrilling because of muh freedums

Prince of Persia - Soul
AC - soulless

Attached: maxresdefault.jpg (1280x720, 59K)

Again. Retarded pirate fags.
Please fuck off and play the newest rehashed "AC" garbage ubisoft made. Im sure your reddit buddies are just DYING for your next blogpost.

Attached: 1551030992793.jpg (1497x1524, 319K)

You're a huge faggot. I'm eastern european and I fucking loved the setting of III.

It's the opposite, AC1 is pretty stale looking

never said ac4 was the best americuck, why dont you watch a 30min cutscene of Benjamin Franklin drafting a manuscript or a sulky native cry about everything

ameriboo

Fuck off muhammad

You're missing out on those karma points, user. Chop chop.

2=Brotherhood>4>1>3>Revelations

>4
Pirate fags need to fuck off.

4 wasn't an AC game, kys

says the eurocuck lmao

>everyone I don't like is reddit
as expected, not even one counterpoint on why the game is good.

seething

Wat? 2 is one of the only games really worth playing in that franchise.
>2
>4
>Origins

>2
Is still the only game that really perfected the AC formula, has tons of detail and just works in general design. The underlying quest of hunting down conspirators across Italy works wonderfully with the notion of changing locations throughout the game.
>4
AC with the least amount of AC in it, which was a wet dream for piratefags. Plus, its the only game that follows actual events closely. The actors, the roles they played and events of Nassau were all accurate. Plus the acting of the MCs is for the most part superb(except that real world shit)
>Origins
By the same guy who made 4 and again, a great mixup of the formula, not missing direction(Odyssey), not going down too far the offline-mmo route by copy pasting the same quest over and over again(Odyssey), or dumbing down mechanics to enable endless grind(Odyssey), plus a stealth playthrough is totally viable with predator bow and darts(unlike Odyssey that takes away that bow and enables poison as weapon dmg, gimping stealth in favor of magical meme skills). Great actors and good characters as well.

Bonus points for Unity, because the enviromental riddles were top and required actual thought(historical knowledge) at times, the world was wonderfully designed with revolutionary France being depicted greatly(people being dragged through the streets, revolts, looting), and literal crowds of hundreds of people at times. As well as a combat system that didn't feel arcadey, had weight and required you to pay attention because gunners would shoot you down easily. Plus, literally all but one quest type had stories and dialogue with them. Even the co-op quests had little voiced introduction movies. Then Syndicate removed all of this and went back to copy pasted locations across the map with no story involvement whatsoever.

>literally wasting his time when he could be collecting sweet sweet upboats by blogging about the latest Call of Assassin 9
J U S T
U

T

It was better indeed.

1 still has the best assassination setups by far. The game gave you the most freedom of methods to take out your target. Later entries dial this back because the devs want you to do it in a certain way that matches up with their cinematic vision.

Are you somewhat implying that the titles before 4 weren't rehashed garbage?
AC1 was panned widely for being empty shit and 2's main criticism upon release was just being more of the same.

Attached: 1515253936788.jpg (600x600, 27K)

for 16yos maybe

AC1 was far better. Remember when the game first released and people were making theories from all the conspiracy shit in the ending? I loved the control scheme and the sandbox feel, AC2 felt way more arcadey and dumbed down.

I couldn't imagine what it would be like to live in a world where I imagined the reddit boogeyman was responsible for everything, sad

dumb frogposter is actually dumb
big surprise

This, but unironically

CURSE HIM! CURSE THE CHRISTIAN KING AND HIS ARMY OF INFIDELS!

These UbiDrones are honestly making my fucking night like holy shit lol
Hahahaha Wow!

Attached: 1550815334394.png (700x740, 328K)

AC1 was trash comparatively, play it again and take off your nostalgia glasses.
>every assassination required you to sit on a bench and wait for 2 minutes, slowly follow a npc or press a button on them
>if your horse walks faster than a trot, the fucking army would cut you down
>desmond levels

Did AC2 onwards have a different writer? It felt like the story took a 180 after 1 and simplified itself to keep casuals engaged. 1 was much more subtle (at least the Desmond parts where you steal the USB and uncover all those UV clues with references to real events). Everyone at the time was hyped to see what would happen next but 2 was completely different. I prefer to think of 1 as a standalone game.

Desmond levels in 1? You must be mistaken. 1 was the most sandbox of any of them. You had a list of stuff you needed to do to earn the assassination, but you didn't need to do all of them so you could ignore eavesdropping if it wasn't your thing. I enjoyed stalking NPCs and blending in with the more simulation-based control scheme, it didn't get old since you could try something new each time. I replayed it about 18 months ago too so it's not nostalgia.

wanna know why you don't like syndicate and odyssey? they're done by the same stupid studio

AC2 improved a lot mechanically but the first thing you do in ASSASSINS Creed 1 is assassinate someone while you have to fuck around for an hour+ in AC2 until you get some actual gameplay.

Same writer, Corey May. He stayed on board until 4.

Asscreed has one not shitty game and it's only good part is the pirate stuff they ripped from another game. This franchise needs to die

And coincidentally, 4 is when the series turned to shit. What a shocker.

this, but only grudgingly because it's the end of the ezio story. ac3-onwards is completely devoid of soul

Then play the game again in 4 years and you'll find it kino too.

Why is it that soul and soulless are always used to mark objectively wrong opinions?
Soul vs soulless has become the mark of the contrarian.

Strange. I wonder if the change in direction was his idea or persuasion from Ubi, it's immediately noticeable. AC1 was almost like the first Matrix movie.

You should really replay Revelations. The personal story for ezio and Altair was great but the map is filled with stinky turkroaches and it looks like absolute poop. Revelations is a lot worse than I remember while ac2 and brotherhood were kino

>when you're discussing my favorite games that's fine
>but when you're discussing games I don't like it's a reddit blogpost
we don't need to lower the quality of this board any further

Well that certainly explains a lot.
>more subtle
>Desmond you are an assassin!
>Desmond you have to save the world!
>Desmond actually they're the bad guys and we have to stop them!
AC has always been as sublte as a brick.

You wanna know how i know you wasted money buying Assassin of Duty 10:Modern Creed?
You wanna know?

Attached: images.jpeg-15.jpg (236x224, 10K)

>do i fit in yet?

dumb frogposter

both are soul.
but ac 2 ending sucked bad time and ruined everything.
>muh random mindblowing ancient civilisation and interactive hologram.
It made everything feel so cheap and lame. I can understand having magical objects and stuff but that was really pushing it way too much that it broke the atmosphere and made it like some generic sci fi story.
Ac 1 ending was kino tho both in modern world and ancient. Seeing the great master losing his mind for mystical power and that cliffhanger for what will happen to desmond.

How does it feel knowing youll never get that money or time back? You enjoy the tranny assassin? Hahahaha wow!

Attached: 1548563344467.jpg (400x388, 45K)

AC1 is rightfully forgotten.
I've never played a more clunky and empty game in my life.
For most people the franchise started with 2 and peaked with 4.

maybe you werent the target audience? ac1 is dry medieval simulation for historics whereas every game onwards has been capeshit tier teenbait

I was referring to the extra stuff that only happens if you take the USB stick from the desk. The sequel hints with coded/encrypted messages and references to the apocalypse. It was hardly the deepest thing in the world but it was pretty cool and left the game open ended. The Matrix has the same "NEO YOU ARE THE ONE" shit on the surface too.

I would actually like to know that, considering I haven't bought an asscreed game since 2, when I stopped being a subhuman consoleshart and joined the master race. maybe you're the one who kept buying the games and that's why they trigger you so much

>ac1 is dry medieval simulation for historics
and you belong to the target audience of complete idiots who are unaware of how dumb they are?

>ac1
>clunky

This
Ezio games were shit

>ac1 is dry medieval simulation for historics
this thread is now officially bait material.
frogposting op is just the cherry on top

Someone explains to me how 4 is a good pirate game.
I didn't play it but from what i watched it looked like ac3 with lot focus on naval side.
What can be so fun about it?
>naval fight is probably same boring fest
>boarding is probably you going alone to kill everyone with that brain dead combat to open a chest with $
>upgrades change nothing except stats for your shit

>master race
>only things to play are moba shit and console ports
kek

THE DAMAGE CONTROL
Just stop posting now before i send your butt-chapped goblin boi face back to clown town
Hahahahahah wow!

>medieval simulation for historics
>about a guy who has perfected modern parkour techniques to kill someone in the stupidest way possible

OP here, I'm not the frogposter.

Thisisbait.gif

the guy who has perfected modern parkour techniques to kill someone in the stupidest way possible is an excuse to explore cool historical settings in a cool way

*and almost every game in history after they have successfully been emulated
epic, but seriously, feel free to go back to Yea Forums anytime

1 had literally no soul. Altair has an American accent for fucksake

Are you fucking retarded? It was always that. From the first it has romanticized the assassins and included weird shit like the apple of eden.

wassamadawithyoualtair

1 taste best when you disable hud.

Unplug your keyboard, sweetie. You already lost. Rofl.

t. doesn't know how the animus works

The controls were fucked up for the 1st one tho.

Is odyssey worth playing?

No. Anything after and including 4 is not worth playing.

yes

youre latching on superficial shit. the point is that the criticism for ac1's repetitive content like climbing and scanning districts comes from people the game wasnt targeted for. I enjoyed exploring and viewing old levant cities in the game because I am fond of that part of the world in that time period.

Its Origins 2

What about black fag?

At least in AC1 you were assassinating people on both sides of a conflict, from II onward, Templars are anyone the writers didn't like.

In Revelations the Ottomans are shown to be these wonderful enlightened people, instead of the blood thirsty conquerers that they were in real life. And the Byzantines were just backward power hungry terrorists, instead of people that were brutalized and forced to convert to Islam.

I actually imagine that III's setting is probably least popular in the USA, just because it's normal boring history to them, there's nothing exotic about it. Like how Okami didn't sell all that well in Japan and most of its fanbase is in the West, for example.

hell no.
its a worse origins, and a 10hr game stretchd out to 100hrs by copy pasting the same locations and quests over a map thats bigger than it should be.
only buy it if you're really into the setting and can stomach just walking around doing basic "go there, kill those guys" quests for 100hrs.

oh and also the biggest bullet sponges in recent gaming history halfway through the game until the end.

And no I am not saying that Okami is representative of Japanese history, just that it's filled with things Japanese grew up around so it's not exciting to them as it would be to foreigners who find it exotic

>I enjoyed exploring and viewing old levant cities in the game because I am fond of that part of the world in that time period.
and thats how ubisoft gets you idiots.
>dude who cares if the game is shit, i just want a historical sightseeing simulator!
ubisoft's fraudulent game development shouldnt be rewarded by autism

Okay, so how does that not apply to asscreed 2. What if I'm fond of that part of the world in that time period. Just because it has more engaging gameplay than the first one doesn't automatically discount it, in fact, in my estimation it is nothing but a positive.

ubisoft didnt really get me though. I dropped the series halfway through 2 and havent looked back since.

Well how come he lost it when the exact same person accessed his memory in Revelations?

>the point is that the criticism for ac1's repetitive content like climbing and scanning districts comes from people the game wasnt targeted for.
are you literally retarded? thats the most blatant bullshit I've read in ages.

This
Ubisoft stopped caring about the story after the first

Where else would one go to get their historical sightseeing simulation fix? Honest question because that's something I'd be interested in; playing a sim where you can wander around ancient locations meticulously crafted to be as they were in their prime.

>how dare people criticize the game for being repetitive and empty as fuck
>cant they see that the game was made for people who just wanted to walk through the streets of historically inacurrate cities and soak in the blurry textures under the blue and bloom lighting?
Please tell me that you're joking

ezios story is too personal. altair is a better vehicle for passive observation of recreated history. think of a archeological dig site. altair is like a small brush whereas ezio is like a fucking shovel.

>to get their historical sightseeing simulation fix?
how about not doing that and instead fixing your autism instead before it gets the better of you?
Origin's discovery tour was actually pretty good in that regard

I usually avoid these kinds of semi-bait threads but I unironically agree. AC2 is better from a gameplay standpoint, but the story wasn't nearly as interesting as it was in AC1. I guess that's the problem with mystery/conspiracy plots - they're cool up to a point where writers try (and almost always fail) to explain it.

>maybe you werent the target audience? ac1 is dry medieval simulation for historics
>think of a archeological dig site
>I enjoyed exploring and viewing old levant cities in the game because I am fond of that part of the world in that time period.
>think of a archeological dig site.
this is honestly peak autism.
I've literally never seen someone defend a shit game this hard solely for the reason that he can run around its clunky and badly designed enviroment just because he can pretend its real or has any historical value.
10/10 thread OP.

you might have to think of it like that to justify your insane position to yourself but I don't. good luck with your shit taste dude

Altair is the only one who actually acted like an assassin and that's what made the game for me. Muh revenge Ezio fighting laughably evil guys was a joke.

user... Desmond isn't the one who accesses Altair's memories.

kys piratefag

What kind of nigger doesn't like the first Assassins Creed?
>The Atmosphere
>The Prince Of Persia nostalgia
>Pushing people aside mechanic
>Groundbreaking combat for the time
>Amazing exploration
>Story worth being invested in
>Being sneaky and listening through vents as Desmond

There's so much to love about it. The comic relief in all the later games is just pathetic and cringey. Why can't people enjoy a serious character who takes himself and his motivations seriously without having to make wisecracks all the time? This is the same thing that killed Prince Of Persia.

I just said that Desmond was the same person accessing it though.
youtube.com/watch?v=ewOy5p1H-Dc

Ezio is accessing these memories though, through completely different means.

AC Brotherhood multiplayer was gold. There hasn't been a single game since which has had the same feel of being chased by someone just to laugh at them getting taken out by someone else.
It's a shame they got rid of it.

Except he's not?

Attached: jags.gif (220x208, 904K)

So the games alternate between the good studio and the shit one? In that case I'm looking forward to the next game since it would be the Black Flag studio and it's supposedly set in Rome. Should be next-gen too.

Revelations was the first AssCree game to not feel like an AssCree game for me. It was really disappointing

the ost was really good as well

Most based OP I have seen in a while, you're completely correct.

Unity feels like an assassin game.

Brutal

I can only concur. AC1 is the only game worth playing in this shitshow of a franchise.
As other user said, just consider it a stand alone thing like The Matrix.

based

Reminder that AC was never good despite what shills and nostalgiafags say

>muh soul/soulless meme

Anything past III - soulless

literally everything you listed is just show not substance
>muh atmosphere
>muh nostalgia
>muh pushing people
>muh walking around
>muh pretending im a ninja
>muh gruff white male protagonist!
the only thing I give you is the combat, but not even in a positive sense because even upon release reviewers and peopel called it clunky and repetivite.

this is seriously the worst thread I've seen in a while. I mean I can understand you to some degree, because liking the objectively worst game in a franchise thats full of shit in general must be pretty tough

>muh gruff white male protagonist!
altair is an arab

>Assasins Creed 2
>Soulless
I'd go as far as to say that 2 has more soul in this single scene than the rest of the entire series combined.
youtube.com/watch?v=dcTpXgs15S4

based retard

He's clearly not.
He speaks like an American
He's white.
He's basically Desmond in a more expensive hoodie - the first game had zero characterization or color for Altair.

>He's white
user...

he has an american accent because dubbing, he still occasionally blurbs out the arabic phrase here and there to make it clear he's supposed to be speaking that
and are you one of those americans that think brown mohammed al islami is caucasian so white like Jack, Gunter and Bjorn?

>the first game had zero characterization
imagine being this dumb

>>Pushing people aside mechanic
You mean an essentially useless mechanic that serves little to no purpose nor offers tangible gameplay effects.
>>Groundbreaking combat for the time
You mean combat that becomes insultingly easy and braindead as soon as you unlock the counter move?
>>Amazing exploration
Surely you can't be talking about the awful overworld that was empty filler with flags that everyone skipped to get to the cities?
>>Being sneaky and listening through vents as Desmond
You mean forced walking sim segments that didn't advance the plot to anything we weren't already aware of?

>people called it clunky
Nice histrory revisionism here. The combat might be simplistic, but no way someone ever called it clunky or unresponsive. AC1 has one of the most smoothest and visually satisfying combat system ever created, that still holds up today, especially compared to the modern day AC, which is basically MMORPG-tier

>this is an Arab man from the middle east
He's the typical white, zero-characterization Ubisoft protagonist with an informed race and American voice. He doesn't even have any skin color like the others (Connor, Ajay) to make him seem non-white.

Attached: tumblr_n1qtxifFmN1rfy6zso1_500.gif (500x370, 898K)

>He speaks like an American
Why do ameriturds think that adding a shitty accent during the recording is enough to make a guy 100% Muslim?

Altair is syrian. He's literally the same complexion as assad. ac1 didnt do poc pandering at the cost of historical inaccuracy like wewuzkangs creed did.

Sorry for expecting a AAA studio to put some effort into their primary character.
>wewuzkangs creed
So because the ancient Egyptians and Arabs weren't sub-saharan African, they should all be drawn as Anglos?

Are you seriously implying that picrelated doesn't pass as an Arab?

>zero-characterization
Confirmed for not playing the game

Attached: d4mf2ls-8abe9031-1a29-439c-a6d3-d3fd7f6468fb.png (733x569, 249K)

Sorry, but none of the characters should be speaking English in the first place.

They aren't. The animus is translating.

And getting rid of their accent in the process.

you forgot
>the incredibly repetitive gameplay loop

>2=Brotherhood
Literally, factually wrong.
Brotherhood is so much better it's actually unfair

yes and?

>the first and last good AC
>soulless
Jesus titty fucking Christ screaming in agony on the fucking cross.

It's not the characters, who are speaking. It's the Animus speaking in their voices

Bayek>Ezio

And user has nothing to complain about.
Muh accent makes no sense.

Every single AC ive played had soul. Fuck off
