Army of two thread

Who remembers this?

BUMP

I’ve heard of it, but it came out in the era where a new brown modern day shooter came out every week.

I certainly remember the WAVE of coop shooters that flooded the market momentarily. Just another fad everyone hopped to grab a piece of while it was 'hot'

>Play Devils Cartel
>"wtf this is pretty cool"
>buy the first two
>love the first Army of Two
>cant get through the 2nd one and give up
Rios > Salem

But this had. S O U L

i enjoyed it, but i remember very little besides how BRO it was

Thank Gears of War for what happened with third person shooters and coop games.

>buy the second one because I want to play some couch co-op shooters with my bro again like old times
>this thread and the one a couple hours ago pop up
What the fuck, man

>its gears of wars fault but not the fault of the lazy devs who copied gears of war
brainlet tier opinion

I want those days back

What did Army of Two mean by this?

Attached: QmgKdgA.png (440x488, 339K)

oh fuck, no
>tfw remembered i played this with my best friend back in high school in Ps3
>finished the game in one sitting, me as Rios and him as Salem.
>he was incredibly salty when i shot him at the end of 2

I remember /k/ memed their frankengun into the game

>Met my best gaming bro thanks to Army of Two

Dude was just looking for someone to coop with, 11 years later we still play all sorts of shit, its honestly the longest lasting friendship I've ever had, never did play Devil's third.

>fault
i didnt say it was a bad thing though, i loved Gears and TPS cover games are a staple genre now

I played this game with my brother it was fun, would be nice to have on PC.

Was fun as fuck. Loved the Pimp My Ride weapon customizer. Also that sinking aircraftcarrier level was kino.

Yeah I played it with my dad

Inspired by kino

What the fuck is that the 8 bit guy?

Couldn't bring myself to finish 2 for some reason, first game was awesome though. Co-op with a friend was also a ton of fun

>tfw nobody to play Gears of War or Army of Two coop with irl
i have one "friend" and he's a cunt.
rest of my "friends" are dumb roasties i met on tinder, fucked and still keep up with.

>befriending a cum dump
No wonder people don't want to play with you

had a lot of fun with the first two but never played the third since it looked like shit. Wish we had more coop games these days.

Go away vhad REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I dont have anyone to talk to except them and my "friend", but he's too busy being manhandled by his gf and is "too busy" to hang out.
he doesn't even drink with me

I'm gonna need some sauce

Back when Army of Two first came out, me and my college roommates, suitemates, were all way too into Halo 3 to really care. I didn't even think Army of Two was on my radar in 2008. My college suitemates would sneak into my room while I wasn't there and play Halo 3 without my permission, on my Xbox, but more importantly, they would look at my DVD collection. I had like 215 DVDs in alphabetical order and they would play a cruel joke where they would move two random titles in different places and see how long it would take me to notice. Yeah, I know that says a lot more about me then it does about them, but I could tell every time that was the joke. I would just scan briefly over my DVDs everyday and see if they had taken one was usually the issue wasn't-I wasn't checking to see if they put them out of order, I was checking because they would turn up MISSING. And then I would track them down and find someone across the hallway who borrowed one without asking and what do you know! The DVD is missing from inside of its jewel case! Where did it go? No one knows. Oh I found it, it's in two pieces now. No, I'm not still angry about that.

>"SALEM SALEM SALEM~"

I remember wanting to play it, but as far as I remember, it never came to PC, so I never did. I'd love to see something similar come out today though. I miss coop games.

Is devil´s cartel worth it on single?

>he doesnt pump and dump depressed fatties
one of the girls is in a mental ward right now being pumped full of valium and getting pissed off about a crazy lady singing bible verses to "Cool Water"
im not even a chad, i just scrape the bottom of the barrel.

I found out about this couch co-op shooter called Rico today that looks kind of neat but it has
>procedural levels

Sort of
The enemy AI are much more braindead compared to The 40th Day, but you can make your own masks up in an editor.

Army of Two and Devils Cartel were good but 40th day wasnt so great. Not to say the games were amazing to start with but definitely serviceable. Everything worked.

Looks neat. At this point I'm waiting to see what happens with the Ready or Not stuff tomorrow (or today for most of the world) though.

Thanks user, i give it a try

this game made me realize that there are not enough coop/multiplayer games with coop taunts and gestures
nothing is more satisfying than celebrating with your buddy

Attached: bros.jpg (900x506, 71K)

>Tfw headbutting your bro and running away

Absolutely D E V I L I S H

4th game never.

This is a series that I've always really enjoyed. I even have a replicate of Tyson's mask.

I miss those coop games, last one I've played was RE6 on no hope, Jake's campaign went full DMD back in old gen

>that scene where the beta security guard shoots himself in the head accidently after you casually slap his gun away

the morality moments in 40th day were pretty funny to be honest. Did anyone spare BJ?

Even Ghost Recon released a game in those days, FS could have been better

I did and I'm not sure why

I did, tried my best to be part of the good guys
then everything went full bananas

choosing the bad option is almost always better except for the last choice where it kinda sucks

>keep shooting ourselves with rpgs
>high fiving right after
kino moments

I found my 360 disc this week and was excited it’s backwards compatible. played the fuck out of it with my buddy who is now my current roommate when it came out. only played first level and gave up tho. didn’t age too well but always loved this series. gun pimping alone makes me want to pick it up again

What games even copied Gears of War? It's not like cover based third person shooters are common.

of course I fucking remember.
I played the first two with my GF; one of the few games we could play together without it erupting in a huge fight.

Loved the fact that you could upload images to make a custom mask in the second game.

playing vidya with thots is the cutest thing you can do, user.

>never finna be a new AOT because visceral is no more

big think

Attached: feller.jpg (1920x1072, 568K)

i guess we should be thankful for what we got at least. i enjoyed the first two but didnt even really touch the third.

Attached: 1551767747578.jpg (765x897, 68K)

>i enjoyed the first two but didnt even really touch the third.
same here. don't really know why, but probably had something to do with the death of those consoles it released on.

I'd want to play it some day but I dont think my elitist eyes would be able to cope.

>I'd want to play it some day but I dont think my elitist eyes would be able to cope.
i think thats exactly what keeps me from playing it too. id almost replay the original, but i fear even that might feel like time wasted, simply because ive beaten it already.

the only one i played was devils cartel and i had fun with it. played through with a friend and got all the achievements on 360 years ago. making masks was really fun

Attached: 86785.jpg (1920x1080, 1.08M)

>when me and my friend are both autistic retards and play the game as two surfer bros just commenting with "dude" on everything that happens
Happier times.

Played one and two a ton with one of my friends, just a really simple co-op game but they were a lot of fun. I never played Devil's Cartel though, I heard they made Salem into a bad guy, fuck that

That deadpool mask looks like shit, but good job with Slade.

LOL

Attached: LOL (58).jpg (2100x1177, 658K)

>people
Terrorists aren't people though.

thanks but the red one is spiderman not deadpool

Army of Two was one of the worst video games I've ever played, no hyperbole, there is no excuse for how bad it was. I mean, it was "functionally" fine, but the gameplay, the story, it was all awful.

salem salem salem

but vidya makes girls bored.

Chinks* and Mexicans* arent people

Attached: 1528285608854.jpg (1264x739, 88K)

Have so many fucking good memories playing with my cousin
>We still occasionally get each other’s attention by saying, “Salem, Salem, Salem!”
>We still occasionally quote Phillip Clyde and say Fucko, followed by, “fucko? Who says that?”

The morality choices in the second game were absolutely hilarious, and me and a friend used to replay it just so we could laugh at them.

The tiger who either kills a robber or goes fucking extinct, the security guard who shoots himself in the head, the kid you can send to get a sniper rifle, only to stand up and cheer like an idiot in the middle of a firefight and then get shot; the whole game is grade-a comedy.

Shut the fuck up sandnigger

Shame the in-game version didn't look as ridiculous.

Attached: pinger.jpg (800x500, 46K)

When playing games with friends I occasionally still say "game over maaaan game over" and it's because of the first Army of Two when it should probably be Aliens
Good game

Damn son, I'd consider that pretty lucky if Army of Two one of the worst, considering Fallout 3, any CoD after 4, any JRPG, any Elder Scrolls, and I dunno... Kane & Lynch I guess and many more fucking exist.

There was one okay game in the series.
