Head Explosion is fine, its just the build up to it that needs work. I mean look at Cassie's one where she shoots them a few times then kicks them in the balls so hard they split in half and their spin and skull shoot up into the air. the spin and head removal is pretty stand MK but its the execution of it that matters.

What Kano should have done was pin their feet to the ground with his knives then hit them with an eye laser until their head explodes like in scanners. Now thats not great but its still better than him just headbutting them until their head explodes.

yeah she was an afterthought dlc with a tiny amount of lore. Shawn Kittelson changed her to her current lore-status in the mkx comics and he's the writer for this game. He put a lot more thought into her than nrs did initially, in fact, I think she wouldn't have even been in mk11 if he didn't do such a good job of reimagining her into a character that can actually hold her own in the overall lore of the world.

Yeah but Skarlet was barely a character in MK9. She was DLC so she wasn't in the story or anything and we didn't have fight intros back then so she didn't have any dialogue. They just decided to pull an Ermac with her by making an old rumor a reality but all we got in regards to lore was from her bio and ending. MK11 is really the first time she's a canon part of the story.

Nah pretty much everyone who has touched this says the game is pretty slow. I mean at this point we've had the reveal event, lots of footage and the most recent event. I think it is pretty safe to say the game is going to be on the slower side and played mostly at the mid range. Even just looking at a lot of strings they leave you at a pretty far range, and with no way to get in quick that means being reset to neutral a lot.

Which isn't something I mind if they can make it interesting, but I could see a lot of long time MK players not being thrilled. They really should make projectiles clash though if that is the style they are going for.

Both her outfits annoy me. She absorbs blood through her skin and stabs herself, most notable in the abdomen, to preform certain abilities. That's why I never mind her old look, fabric I thought would just get in the way. So seeing her all covered up baffles me. The desert raider look, besides being the most covered, has her abdomen wrapped in leather straps. There's the version with boob window but that's not where she stabs herself. The other one has what looks like heaver fabric over the abdomen and weird hole just below the breast. Again, not even the place where she stabs herself, and these needles slits showing skin. I hope the other 4 costumes rectify this, Ab windows or just a two piece outfit that shows her midriff.

For me, both costumes comment the sin of covering up too much of her most defining feature, imo, which is her dark skin. Her past costumes had the green pop because of her dark complexion, they also had a nice balance, a symmetry, of cloth and skin that made her look unique and stand out more. The middle costume in this pic, I think is the best because of its symmetry of cloth and skin. The new ones I feel are off balance because of how they cover too much or show too much in certain areas.

It is a bad mix of Injustice and other western design trends. On the first kombat kast 16-genders mentioned how he liked the more sci-fi elements on MK, and I wonder if that is an opinion that permeates through the team to whoever the designers are. I know a lot of MK fans are about the kung fu movie and mysticism aspects which just don't feel as strong here. Which is a shame cause some of the better looking characters here play into that style more. I really wish MK would just stick to its guns instead of following trends. The series constantly wants to remind you of the old fun stuff but doesn't really want to recreate it fully. But then you look at Johnny, goofy as you could make him to pretty much universal praise.
