I'm not near a nature reserve but I relate to this living in a rural, mostly wooded area. I think the funniest part about living where I am is that everywhere else, most people panic when there is a bear in the area. I have a couple black bears that live deep in the woods behind my house. Sometimes they come up around my house and just chill. I've even walked past them walking my dogs and they just sit there. If you get close they just back off and run away. Unless you have food, then they'll come right up to you. But as all should know, feeding a bear is like sentencing it to death because the next step is at the other end of a hunter's rifle.
