I mourned a man who's name I only knew the day he died.
It felt odd at the time since this was the first time I meet up with a bunch of the link, but we celebrated our red mage friend's life. This is how it used to be, back in the old days.

I honestly do this more than I wish I did.
First time I did it to a dude I spoke every single day. When I came back months later I tried to comment in one of his screenshots and he replied super coldly and I got the hint.
Then to another dude, same exact thing. Never seen him again.
Then a dude who apparently really liked me got justifiably mad at me because I spoke shit about his waifu behind his back.
I realized I'm a backstabbing motherfucker and everytime I remember I feel like absolute shit and the worst kind of person.

I had something like that with a TF2 group I'm a member of. One of our long time members passed away from cancer and we held a little memorial on the server for the guy. People who hadn't played the game in years came on to pay respect to a guy they didn't know the name of until that night. The server owner told the guys sister about this and they were glad to know their son had people online that cared about him.
