Killed a couple of dragons

>Killed a couple of dragons
>Explored and looted a few dungeons

When does it get fun, exactly?

it doesn't get better. the appeal is for people impressed by "big worlds with lots of stuff."

What the fuck user, you weren't actually suppose to play it, just make arrow to the knee jokes, Todd references and talk about it's one of the greatest games ever made.

when do you stop crying about skyrim?

When you install mods.
When it gets fun.

when you use mods on it and end up like this
nhentai.net/g/265137/

>Impressed by big worlds

The world does seem pretty big from what I've explored, but it all looks exactly the fucking same.

as soon as you get your head out of your own ass and stop being a contrarian faggot

You need to do more of that before you get powerful

rape mods

But user; I want to be powerful NOW!

Also, on a dragon related note: The best way to kill is just to whip out a bow and spam them with arrows, right? That's what I've been doing.

It doesnt. Mods dont make it much better unless all you care about is creating a unique character. Even then its boring as fuck. Another meme game for the fire

it is all the same pretty much. still the appeal is that you can keep collecting loot and progressing as you go through all the crap in the game. i think it's too boring.

That's it, the game doesn't get any better. It is just really big so people get tricked into thinking it is good.
You have to mod the shit out of it and find your own fun.

>Thinly veiled bait thread were OP pretends he has never played a 2011 game that has been released for every platform thas has been made in the last 10 years.
>All of this to shit on a game that has already been discussed to death ad nauseum.

What's the point really? What's the end game? There nothing more to discuss, you either like it or you don't. If you do great, keep playing if you don't just move on and play something else.

I always thought the only point of these threads were to bait lewd images of modded characters. But then i remember there are generals specifically for those.

you mean you don't like repeating the same dungeons with the same enemies for the same loot over and over?

Dragons die the easiest with a two handed warrior

It doesn't, Skyrim is one of those games where millions of people were fooled into eating shit and pretending to enjoy it. It didn't take until another 2 games for people to finally realize Bethesda make bad games.

For some reason I always lose interest once I reach the level where Dwarven and Elven armor starts appearing everywhere.

It was true in 2011, it's true now.

NO ONE EVER enjoyed Skyrim. No one who played it left saying "Man, that was a great experience. I'm glad I played this."

Grats on not having a double digit IQ.
Bad news: you are not skyrims target demographic.

I always lose interest when I try and rp a character and the guild quests suck so fucking bad. I did one run where I got to like level 60 with a khajiit assassin and the game has never been as fun since.
>haven't tried mages guild or mage in skyrim
is it any good?

no there's like one mission where you actually do mage school stuff and the rest is generic dungeon crawling until the end where you fight a generic mage as a boss. it's easier to play the mage quests as anything other than a mage.

magic is arguably the most fun build with mods
the guild sucks ass like everything else that has guilds

getting powerful is a meme, all enemies scale to you

Yes, environments generally look the same across vast areas of space. I don't see what that has to do with video games, however.

Why stop at just one when mods let you have your own gang?

not op, but I didn't play this game until this past christmas when I finally got it on steam christmas sale.

I can see why high schoolers and shit lap this up. I thought the same things about oblivion.

Idk I had some fun with mods. Played about 30 hours and had a good time.

>but it all looks exactly the fucking same.
congratulations you have discovered the secret to 99% of "open world" games.

the majority of it is generic empty trash that is never used in any meaningful way and is only there to make retards go WOOOOOWWW SO HUUUUUGE YOU CAN GO AAANNYYWHEEERE

My 452 hours says otherwise

452 hours of jacking off which could be achieved with any other pornographic aid.

The only remotely worthwhile things are guild questlines, maybe dawnguard. do what you want out of those then stop

when you put your dick inside something

uwu bend over honey.

really jarring that elves refer to themselves as 'dark elves' or 'wood elves' instead of dunmer/bosmer in oblivion/skyrim

it doesn't

it doesnt
its a low effort distraction from the misery of existence
i play it when my migraines get really bad
also mods help

>Trees
>Rivers
>Mountains
>Grassy plains (?)

I wish From made DaS4 instead of Sekiro. Fuck RPGs. Fuck them right in the shitpipe.

Eh idk the dwemer dungeons are cool.

OP here.

I absolutely swear down on my eyesight, I'm playing Skyrim for the very first time. I literally started it TODAY. No shit.

>but it all looks exactly the fucking same.
What do you mean by this? The areas around Riften, south of Windhelm, Falkreath, Dawnstar and Markarth all look much different from each other

Nigga it's all just trees, rivers and mountains.

I would say environments is like the 1(one) thing skyrim got right.
Also I could forgive the simpleton leveling system (I kinda like it), if the combat wasn't so goddamn unengaging.

>When does it get fun, exactly?

When you dump so many mods into it that it may as well be a new game.

Wrong, there's also:
Daedric Quests
Aedra Quests
Thane miniquest lines for each city (likr the prison one in Markath, the serial killer in Winterhold, the wolf queen in Solitude etc.)
That's another 30+ quest off the top of my head
I put 500+ hours on the xbox 360 without mods, and then another 100+ on the pc with mods (not sex mods)

Skyrim environments are alright but nowhere near shivering isles or morrowind

>if the combat wasn't so goddamn unengaging.
honestly think I prefer skyrim's combat to oblivion or morrowind, not that that's saying much

For sure.

I will say that skyrim has by far the best dungeons in the series, none of the others even compare

The daedric quests suck. They're so shallow and uninteresting.

>Aedra Quests
wait what

For Vanilla, you should be playing on master for a decent challenge.
If modded, you can make the game actually fun with Ultimate Combat + Mortal Enemies + Combat Behaviors Improved + Combat Evolved + Tk Dodge + Attack Commitement (gives your attacks some weight and a realistic sense of range + motion) + Asis (increaed spawns + make ai take potions and use modded spells)
These mods when combined make for the best experience accordimg to /tesg/, and I can vouch for it since I did a 50 hour run with that setup

Wish you could make NPCs use Forgotten magic spells with the appropriate upgrades. Would make running into hostile Familiar Faces much crazier

4 quests with the Nine Divines

I'm a retard who plays special edition, I will check if those are available. I might have to pirate the original version again like I did in college...

SE has basically every important mod at this point, I would never recommend switching back, and anyone who tells you to is probably a retard.

Unless you're going total rape simulator with no regard for the original game SE has pretty much every important mod.

by being raped

good to hear, thanks guys

>actually uses one of those cringe backpack mods

When you install quest mods, Vigilant in particular is pretty fun

>vigilant
That was an adventure.
Not so much of a fan of the 3rd act though, was a little buggy last I went through it.

>When does it get fun, exactly?

When you start modding.

Vigilant was good. I played through it again recently and while there are still a few bits I didn't get, I enjoyed it even more than the first time.
I'm very excited for the next mod by that person.
