What was the consensus on this? I was thinking about picking it up since its only $26 on the eshop.

I had a lot of fun with it. Haven't started the DK but it's supposed to be more of the base game. Not too many changes, not overly difficult. Just more of the game.
It's okay, not my cup of tea to be honest, I've been pkaying it on and off the past week and it's basically xcom, with Mario and Rabbids.
I've heard it's actually very good and I'm looking forward to playing it when I finally pick up a Switch.
For that price, it is a steal.
>2 million sold
Complete success.
It's good. Basically XCOM with more movement options, less rng on taking shots, and crafted maps instead of procedurally generated ones.
The DLC is okay, but something I didn't like is how they force you to use the same 3 characters for the whole thing. One of the fun parts of the main campaign was experimenting with different team combinations. And on top of that, they had to pick fucking Peach Rabbid out of all the characters. Why not Yoshi or Rabbid Yoshi? They didn't show up in the main story until right before the end.
Pretty good desu. With a name like Mario + Rabbids you would expect it to be some low effort shovleware party game. But it isn't. It's actually a pretty good X-Com impersonator.
Sure, it's a pretty good game
how was the dlc?
Rabbid Peach is the best one for cutscenes and also because of what she did to Rabbid Kong earlier in the game.
DK and Rabbid Cranky are unique and great, but you can't use them outside of the dlc. The map designs are good and there are also some new enemy types. I think overall it was about as long as half of the main game.
>Biyong anything thst has the Rabbids in it
No
imagine being this jaded
It was really good and is probably one of the best games on the system. It does everything pretty well.
Loved it
>sale is only for digital copy
DAMN IT. I refuse to buy digital, fuck me. Gotta wait until I can pick up a used physical copy of gold for the same price, maybe in a year or so.
Doesn't gold have the dlc as a code?
If that's the case then I'll get regular edition and wait for a DLC sale. Frick.
I could be wrong, but I think dlc can't go on sale on the eshop outside of being in bundles like this.
Surprisingly fun and not as cringey as I thought it'd be. I actually chuckled a few times.
This is coming from a TRPG babby though so ymmv
frick

They actually managed to make moving around fun, it's a decent difficulty, it actually has some decent jokes which is surprising considered the Rabbids are in it, and the best ranks take some trial and error at times. For $20 it's definitely worth it.
Just buy the standard edition for $20, user. If you like it you can buy the DLC later
It was much better than it had any right to be, the very definition of a terrible idea with great execution. plays like nu-xcom plus a bit of disgaea and chroma squad.
it's fun, rapid luigibwith vampire yoyo, luigi bouncing gun and mario honey gun. best trio honestly.
My R button is broken
Is it used a lot on this game? I dont wanna play using one joycon i wanna play handheld
Yeah, I don't think I've ever seen DLC on sale on the eshop, which is bullshit as I've been waiting for that and XB2's to get cheaper but it looks like it's never going to happen.
The game is good.
$26 for both the game and the DLC is a damn good price. The DLC is an expansion that is half the size of the main game.
Go for it.
