it is really boring at the beginning and the combat isn't really interesting to keep you playing, also there's a fuckton of material farming with shit drop-rate.

Only one of my friends plays any mobage, and he only plays FEH.

Turn based with quite a bit of strategy involved in the combat. No pvp or ranking system is in place.
The gacha is pretty abhorrent. 1% rates for SSR Servants and 3% for SRs. As well as things that aren't servants (Equipable passive buffs called Craft Essences) in the gacha.
There are several team comps to play around as a casual. You find a shit ton of videos where people clear endgame story quests with only 1 star - 3 star servants.

Those rarity rates are pretty hideous, but as long as I can pull interesting servants, it'll be fine. I've run teams in FEH of all characters that started 4* or lower, and played decks in Duel Links with no pack SRs or URs.

FEH is pretty boring too.
I think if you wanna try FGO just try it until you beat the first world or maybe Orleans and see if you like it or not.
And also be sure to befriend someone with powerful and max leveled servants to make things easy for you.

There's truth to both posts. It gets interesting only when you're already heavily invested and capable of doing endgame level challenge quests but if you're just going through the story it's pretty uninteresting. Unless you're really into the story itself. However, most people will say the story peaks at the Camelot and Babylon chapters which is pretty far in at NA, and kind of mediocre for the rest of it. It's completely up to you and probably no harm in trying it out.

It is worth noting that while FGO has pretty much the worst rate for rolling an SSR unit it has one of the best rates for rolling the specific SSR unit that is on rateup. While the pull rate may be 1% the rateup is 0.7%, as opposed to most games where it's below 0.5%

This is a bit disingenuous since it relies on equipping certain CE, building your entire team around said 1-3 stars and having overpowered supports.

I know some guys who only use 3* or welfare CE to beat challenge so it's not that hard. Worst case you can always use support Cu alter to solo the quest. Most of the time you will be farming anyway.

You get more than enough materials from doing any events. Not that it matters much since maxing out any unit requires at least three crystallized lore so besides certain characters, you're going to hit the same roadblock as a 4-5*.

Putting Crystalized Lore aside you can max half a dozen 3 stars for the same QP as one SSR, and three for the same material load. That's a huge difference in grind.

Story is decent, there are a few twists that only work if you're a Nasuverse fan, but for the most part it's pretty solid even if you're a beginner.
Gameplay is standard turn-based RPG; think of it as a Pokemon triple battle but the attacks you can choose are randomized.
Gacha is alright.
Waifus are great.
all in all, it's something nice to play when you're taking a shit.

For those who are starting out, the tutorial 10 roll only gives out up to 4 star stuff. Best four star is Herc, Emiya is pretty good too. Don't know about the rest, go to Reddit or something for that.

She doesn't. Bathroy's life and the writing of the book Carmilla are 300 years apart. Hell Bathroy didn't even inspire the book Carmilla as far as I know.

I wouldn't worry about the class on exp cards since the bonus isn't large enough to make that much of a difference. The only thing that matters is the rarity since non gold exp cards aren't worth the upgrade costs to use outside of topping off exp if you really care.
