It's a solid action adventure with some light rpg elements.
It's got good combat, quests, environments and music which give the whole game a nice tone. Its got that bong humor also.
Just a kino game overall really, just see it for what it is. Some people shit on it for not being a super coplex rpg

I loved the earlier GH and Viva Pinata games but know nothing about those 2
I don't even know how to rate this one. Those are mostly games I have played and really strongly just LIKE them, but never really resonated with me. Have to give you at least 2 points for LTTP and Streets of Rage though, of course

Feeling too lazy to write out each game I played today. My 3x3 is in purple. Still going to wait until after I play DMC5 to make any edits.
2/2; I really ought to replay SF64 one of these days. Maybe I'll see if I can get the 3DS remake since I never heard anything about it being worse.
I remember watching the Viva Pinata cartoon when I was a kid and only learned it was about a game years later.
2/3; I think I should get the Killer7 PC port once it's a little cheaper. I like rail shooters a lot and I love the aesthetic/music but playing it on a controller never sounded good. With the mouse I'm much more inclined to play.

3/3; I played a bit of Bomberman Hero but not 64. I'm not huge into Bomberman but each game I've played was good.
Had no clue Digimon TCG had a game, but I shouldn't be surprised since I had the fucking DBZ TCG game on GBA at one time.

Killer7 is sort of a rail shooter, but also plays like an adventure game and a little bit like Resident Evil. In a word, the game’s experimental. The plot, gameplay, and graphical style are all really unique.

That about sounds like the impression I had of Killer 7.
Depends how you want to do things. If the games both fulfill the same purpose then you could replace it if you like it more, or if you like them for different reasons one could say it makes sense to have both, or you could just have both anyway. Having multiple of one series shows you really fucking like that series, but at the same time one could assume that from just a single entry and one might consider it worth it to have the variety of a different series on their chart.

2 is the best of the series, 3 is a significant drop in quality but I still don't consider it to be an awful game. Lots of people do though.

The story is entertaining, the characters are really fun and charismatic, and the missions are challenging until you figure out the biggest exploit in the game, but just apply the patch that makes things harder and you should be fine
Also it's not TOO anime-y, if that's not your thing.
