Best bet is to just start fresh probably. Just reboot with the same cast and go from there. They have entirely lost the fan service crowd and their best bet at success is to turn this back into a waifu fighter. Personally I don't really care about the boob physics since my mains are male characters and I enjoy the gameplay since it's easy to learn and I played the hell out of it when I was younger so it's the easiest fighter for me to pick up and not be shit at out of the gate. However, even though I don't really care about the tits, it's very clear that MANY fans did. I'd rather the game have fan service for all those lost customers so that we can continue to get games than for them to cater to a specific group that doesn't seem to be supporting the game regardless of what they've done. At this point I have a feeling that they aren't going to give us a DOA 7 and blame it on the fans even though they abandoned their original fans for good boy points over sales.

And again during demo 2. The only unanimous exception that didn't get noticeably smaller was Honoka's Honokas inside of her deluxe outfit and Tina's Tinas.

Characters like Phase 4 has always dressed relatively more conservatively than the rest of the cast and her tit size is measurably smaller from (almost) all angles.

You can button mash through combos, once you get into a juggle you just have to ride it out, no emphasis on crossover attacks, and counters. Plus you could low counter out of combos to make high attack strings whiff mid string which was not enjoyed. It's a fun casual fighting game but the turbo autists who dedicate their life to fighting games will never enjoy it with the system that they use.

It was on top of having something for everybody and being a general fun play. Had new characters thrown into it for all of its lifespan and individual prices for outfits were manageable to entice dolphins.

removing the 2 extra characters, you pay 1.49 for each costume, now tell me how much are extra skins for other fighting games? 4 dollars? 5 dollars? they are actually really cheap in DOA.

unless you want to have everything, you really dont need to buy a season pass for DOA, just get the few costumes that interest you and be done with it, in DOA5 each costume was priced somewhere between 2-4 dollars, the 4 dollar costumes being the ones that were licensed from other franchises. and even the DLC characters were cheaper to buy in DOA than in other fighting games.

If they designed something that was so bad it needs a permanent 100x increase in acquisition days after the game releases to be at an acceptable level, it's not even worth looking into until other potential issues are also ironed out.

6 is absolutely the worse game as the lack of polish is very apparent. There's a lot of glitches and the use of the DW9 engine has a very mixed result on the graphics. DOA5 made a lot of dumb decisions but it was polished at least.

Something that would go a long way for me is biting the bullet and releasing X3/X3S in the west. I could easily import it but its the principle of it. They didn't release it outside of asia because they wanted to avoid bad western press (which failed because they imported it on purpose just to shit on it) and then had the gall to try and change 6 to once again avoid bad press in the west which STILL failed. Not sure what all they would need to change for 6 to get fans back. They could add more sexy costumes but that will all be paid DLC. Maybe a patch to restore the X3 bust sizes or something for appropriate costumes and then use that as a base going forward. Maybe release a highly demanded returnee like Momiji for free since she was in the last game instead of their weak ass "she's a ninja gaiden character" excuse to sell her later. Doesn't that same shit apply to Ryu Hayabusa? He never has any problems getting in the games.

They just need to accept that DOA will never be accepted by the current mainstream press and go all in for those that do accept it.

sure. enjoying story piece wise between bouts of arcade mode. i used cheat engine to unlock all the costumes, hair styles and accessories so i can do this at my own pace. the game looks awesome on PC. if i was getting less than the 50-60fps average i am on my GTX 970 running at 1440p I might be tempted to drop $320-350 on a RTX 2060 but goddamn this is literally the only game i plan on playing on my PC for a long while.
