Alpha Protocol. The gameply was janky and was fairly average at best, but the dialogue and the way you can manipulate others was great. It had this kinda cheesy early 2000's vibe from spy movies and stuff, which I enjoyed. I'd really enjoy a sequel with better gameplay.

Another game I enjoyed was Threads of Fate, it was a typical action RPG but you could pick between two protagonists with both of their stories happening at the same time and them doing their own shit. I thought that was cool, but Rue was fairly boring to play. Mint was interesting with her magic and how powerful she got late game.

not even close. you need a specific Warframe that bares no visual similarity to Dark Sector in order to use the Glaive like it was used in DS, except at that point it doesn't matter since it can do that same manual flight trick with all projectiles.

No ability to control it midflight, it just works like a boomerang in warframe more or less.

I can think of a lot of games this applies to, but they're old enough that I've gotten over the desire for a sequel. The only game that I can't over is Dragon Age: Origins. Even though it technically got two sequels, neither of them continue the story or even convey a similar style or tone. The only time one of them comes close to resembling an actual sequel is when a returning character explains what happened after the cliffhanger in the Witch Hunt DLC, which is the canonical end to the first games timeline. Other than that single scene, I’m convinced that an actual narrative sequel will never happen.

This was pure kino. It didn't try to be hahafunny, of social commentary, it was just John Woo kino. With interesting gameplay mechanics on top of it(dual meters for police\triad reputation, shit that actually matters, instead of just different dialogues like in most games). I think the game helped itself out by openning the game with "you know why we hired you right? Not your moral fibre, but because you have a history of being willing to say whatever you need to in order get an advantage".
It really helped put the character and game itself in perspective with an admission off the bat that "the game" wouldn't punish you for lying to people or making "immoral" choices.

This is one of the few 3rd person shooters after GoW who tried something unique and really stayed with the formula to the end just to get bashed by critics because it tried to be more realistic and unique.
