I grew up with a PC. As a kid with no job, I simply pirated all my games.
Fast forward to now, I finally got a PS4 as my first console and then a Switch. I have less time for my PC and actually pay for games.

Everyone i know switched from PC to consoles. Dont know anyone still playing PC. PC gaming is more for the teens when you have to much freetime and want to spend days playing the same games over and over again like CSGO, LOL and PUBG. Once you are an adult and have limited time you have higher expectations on games than just killing/wasting time. Thats why you switch to PS4 to play actual good games.

I have more freetime now than I ever did as a teenager, what the fuck are you on about? When I was in high school, I would be busy until 8 or 9 at night and then pass out fatigued as hell. Then the weekends would be spent going places and I wouldn't get back till 3 or 4 in the morning on Sunday.

Now I get done with work at 4:00, can stretch out, and just do whatever the fuck I want. It's outstanding. I'm getting fat as hell and it doesn't matter since my wallet is getting fat also and chicks say the "dad bod" and growing beer belly is cute. Yeah they're lying but fuck it.

Always been a PC gamer ever since '99, but as I grow older consoles are just more appealing to me.
You stop caring about the "on a high end PC this would look better" argument and just wanna play games.
I keep my laptop for strategy games and emulation, but my PS4 for everything big.

The building aspect loses its appeal to. I wont say its a juvenile thing, but I just dont find fun or pleasure out of building PCs and setting up a "station" anymore like some weird hobbyist. Especially for something like videogames. As you get older this just gets more trivial and you try to put as little time in it as possible.
I put a console next to my screen and when I feel like playing, I start it up and thats about enough for games.
