Shampoo is fucking insane and a total bitch that would do anything (And I mean ANYTHING) to get what she wants, and she only shows compassion towards Ranma or Cologne, she doesn't give a flying fuck about anyone else, in fact, in the anime, they had to make Shampoo more likeable while making Akane a bigger bitch because the producers liked her more (and wanted another Lum/Shinobu situation) and wanted her to become more popular than Akane

Ukyo just becomes another shampoo as the series continue, she only cares for Ranma and helps him just solely for the fact that she might get his dick.
There's some moments where she shines though, but sadly, she just becomes a joke (like her last main arc with the trap), but other than that, she's just another "crazy fiancee".
I'm not saying Akane is perfect wife material or the best char in the series, but atleast she can think for herself (unlike the rest that can only think about pleasing ranma or using him and nothing else) and does her best to help Ranma no matter what, even if Ranma is being an asshole to her or she is being the cunt (because she doesn't want to show his love to him and also is a dumb tomboy that can't act like a normal girl).
