arena takes a lot of skill to master
industries want to sell as much as they can
no profit since most people suck at it and won't buy it
result is no more arena shooter, instead you get cowadooty style that's easily approachable and similar to everything else, bland, easy, weak and really stale after a week, to which the industry will pump out another game for the normie, and the normie will run after it because they wanna stay hip.
Tl;Dr: shit that takes skill won't sell.
