Hippity hoppity, you're now Okran's property.

Is there a reason why the demo is on their website and not on Steam?

Fuck Okran and fuck paladins.

No, because I didn't build my outpost in Holy Cucks property, I built it in the Hub

Ye, give him a new arm and he'll turn into ROBO-BEEP

The hivemen really grew on me thanks to beep.

What's the best way to start this game if I'm completely new to it. I know I'll have to die a few times to get the hang of it but what should I focus on? Killing things or simply surviving? Is it possible to survive on your own or is the only way to build a community? I like the idea of getting on by myself and making my own piece of land but it sounds like shit finds you and kills you in mass no matter where you try to live.

If you make a base, you will need manpower. The point of a base is to have your own source of food and gear production, and it will constantly have visitors.
Otherwise, you can be a solo hobo if you want. Recommended for this is martial arts because it's stupidly overpowered.
Remember that the best way to get what you want is to steal it.

So you can't just set up a shelter by yourself? The only want to produce items is to get other people to do it? I understand that for armor and weapons but I could just steal those. What about food? Can you manage your own food resources? Or if you start building people will just start flocking to you?

Safety in numbers, you're gonna have to square up to roving gangs of bandits up to 12-20 people, so if someone in a bar is worth 3000 credits it's worth it if even if they'll only be. If you do make an outpost, don't do an open-community, you need to have closed walls to build turrets or you're going to pay for being an open-borders outpost

No, you need to get people for your squad and just dedicate some of them to crops/mining/smithing and some to manning turrets and shit. If you just build a shack in the middle of nowhere you're gonna have bandits banging on your door all the time.

That's what I meant, no matter where you go shit that wants to kill you will find you. It's just how the AI works. So the only way to survive is in numbers.

>Tfw imprison only scorchlanders
>Can't enslave them or control them like the holy nation can
>Have a vacant cotton field unattended to
Shit game

new to the game, I sold 3 ancient books for money so I could join shinobi and get the backpack but apparently the books are finite and dont respawn
did I fuck up?

Im still on my first character on day 31, have lost a lot of companions. Tried to build a base and learnt the hard way that you shouldn't so early. Im only now through constant hungry bandit beatings and angry dust bandits getting a squad strong enough to romper stomp the hub.

Yes and no. You can use your current squad on a new world generation, keeping your standing with the Shinobi and all your stuff, but resetting everything else.

Just find the nearest copper vein and mine for F R E E shekels

Backpacks are recommended

>Not modding in slavery

BEEP is shit, Hobbs is the man.

Once you feel like you've done everything you wanted, you really should do an HN start. I used the mod that adds more starts and chose HN and it's comfy as fuck. My brothers literally feed me, give me medicine, and pray for my well being and tell me my suffering is their suffering. I wear and use only HN armor/weapons and running around as a tiny paladin in a world where my enemies are massive fucking shek monsters twice as strong as any human lets you understand just how much humans need to stick together to survive. No other faction, including the leader himself who isn't arrogant or belittling toward you, treats you with brotherhood and respect as they do even at 100 relation.
When you tell the Phoenix you want to attack your enemies, he says it's something he does not want to have any of his brothers burdened with as it's a difficult crusade, but if it's a path you truly want then he believes in you and fully supports your decision in his own words. He believes in prosperity over conquest.

Rape mods when?

Pro tip: If you have a medic on your team, send him away from the fight and set him to passive.

Then with your fighting squad you can engage neutral NPC's to agro them, don't fight bandits or canibals because obvious reason, don't be a retard. Find some guards or something and have your main attack force engage, when they're agro'd on you set all of them to defensive.

Kenshi rewards a lot of XP if you're defending vs a stronger opponent, after your squad is wiped out and the guards or whatever have gone, bring your medic in and heal up your fallen members. Do this a couple of times and your squad will have the defense stat high enough to actually fight cannibals and bandits etc.

Sholl me on Konshi

Probably costs money to host it on Steam

>Defensive
I meant to say block

You can just put them in a separate squad called "slaves" and keep them in cages or something. It's mainly an rp thing anyway, I dont get why people have a problem with this

Slave and Master simulator with base building

get the Yes Master mod, it's not limited to the girl on the preview. once you have her, you can convert literally anyone to be your slave and they don't join your squad.

The dev knows how to make a fun time.

i'm glad this game's getting a lot more attention, it deserves the praise

it's a real underrated gem

Burn is the best companion

My first playthrough, some goats gored me on the steps of a bar and I spent a day bleeding out on the sand while people literally walked over me. It was a good experience overall

When you copy and paste your harry potter rape fanfiction into a .txt for the Kenshi prisoner dialogue mod, someone already made a milk mod on the Nexus

>send a group i recruited across the map home while i continue to explore
>usually they do okay
>realize about 20 minutes later they're all bleeding out dying, every single one of them missing their legs

what the shit

inb4 you sent them waddling through the desert

Skimmers'll do that if you went across The Great Desert

To my fellow merchants:

Start with a scorchlander in your party, once you've established a base, research armor smithing until you can craft armor out of cloth. Look for the tagglemust(?) item, it should only require cloth to make, you can buy cloth from a nearby city, usually in the bars but also at raw material shops, or you could make your own if you have cotton and the related technologies but honestly you don't need to do this, whenever you're low on cloth just do a city run and bring back the cloth from there, shops restore every 1-2 days iirc.

Tagglemust's are cheap to produce, are easy to make, have low crafting times and offer great armor smithing xp in the long run. Oh, and the main reason my fellow merchants would be interested in this item is that after the shoddy grade, you begin to make a profit, if you get all the way up to specialist or masterwork grade then you can literally dry up an entire cities cats reserves in one sell run. It's a kind of broken way to make money, so use at your own risk of losing interest in the game.

Just steal everything, nerd. Cats are a trap.
