Am I just too emotionally impaired? I read hundreds of comments saying this game completely devastated them, left them feeling empty and depressed
But at best I felt lightly choked up at some moments
Did I go in with the wrong expectations?
Dead inside
90 percent of anime is shallow trash that only makes zoomers tear up because they haven't had real life issues before to toughen them up. You aren't dead. You've just lived.
That can't be it, you don't expect me to believe all those people praising it are zoomers playing a game from 2003
source on the game so i can check if i am dead inside as well.
Muv Luv Unlimited/Alternative
Here's the description from the steam page for anyone interested
Muv-Luv isn't all sad and tears, there are fun and exciting moments too, did you not feel anything else during the whole VN?
>Muv Luv Unlimited/Alternative
looks cool. ill check it out.
I'm generally disappointed with whatever VN heaps glowing praise upon.
Mostly anticipation of things that never came but sure, I enjoyed the VN a lot, it was quite exciting and I do like these -end of the world because aliens- settings. It also helped that the TSFs did look really nice most of the time
I was terribly annoyed at the MC though, his behaviour until the second half of Alternative was borderline unbearable even if it was mostly fitting at times
That said I was hoping for more actual gruesome deaths and for Takeru to actually sink into complete despair
Having gone with Ayamine in every possible route, the plot of Alternative did kind of irritate me too since I found it too scripted, I was hoping Sumika would actually just end up blowing off MC and he'd get his memories back of the time he actually was together someone else for two years in the previous timeline
but oh well
alternative is sumika's route
also no, it's just that some people are more sensitive than others
I just finished unlimited. Just grinding out all the endings.
So far Extra was fine for what it was if extremely generic. Unlimited feels off and "unfinished" but from all the hints and thinking back to some of the unexplained things in Extra it must be because Alternative wraps it all up.
Whats with the brain in the jar?
Whats up with gothic lolita bunbun?
Whats with Yuuko seemingly forgetting interactions with Takuru?
What about the cat and the shoe?
What about Sumika acting like she interacted with Takuru but him not knowing what she was talking about?
If Alternative does not answer all this shit I really wont know what all the hubub was about.
Everything you listed does get answered actually though you'll understand it far quicker than the MC
Oh good.
>though you'll understand it far quicker than the MC
Pretty par for the course even if I fucking hate it. I just want one VN where the MC pieces it together just as quickly as the player or the player can force the MC to act on info the player pieced together.
Now it's time for (you) to leave before
(you) get spoiled.
you actually played Extra and Unlimited? Waste of time.
Can't have everything right
>can't ever go to Yea Forums to talk about a game while i'm still playing for fear of actually getting spoiled immediately
kinda sucks
I wouldn't call it a waste of time as there were some enjoyable moments and it definitely enhanced Alternative to some degree, though not as much as I would have liked
What else am I supposed to play on my Vita?
Soul Sacrifice of course
You could say the MC in Umineko pieces everything together faster than the vast majority of people who played/read it.
>that h scene
Goddamn yuuko is the best girl in the series
She's way more of a main character than MC himself
