It is to this day the best coop game I have played.

>own 360
>buy game at launch
>friends are too busy playing gta 4 and sf4
>play with stranger
>we hit it off and we get along well
>having a good time
>after 8 hours he had to go
>we both add each other
>goes offline
>never comes back online
>never bothered finishing the game after that

Seven minutes.

Loved Wesker, everything else was meh

the lovely Jill valentine

Attached: JillxWesker_RE5intro.webm (640x360, 1.65M)

dc douglas' wesker is a genuine tour de force in that game, completely unironicaly

This. It's the perfect game for couples to play together. It's also one of my favorite REs despite being a huge fan of the old ones. The game is just really fun unless you don't have someone to play with.

that was me btw. towards the end i was masturbating to the sound of your voice. after i finished i was so ashamed thats why I "had to go". I was too embarrassed to join again. I wouldn't have said anything but seeing this felt serendipitous enough to finally share. thanks bro

>serendipitous
whoa, get a load of mr. harvard here

yes
yes

People shit on RE5 and then praise RE4 for the exact same reasons. Cognitive dissonance at its best.

Same

Pretty much the best coop game I played.
Played together with my first gf who got me into RE in the first place. Good times.

7 minutes. 7 minutes is all I can spare to play with you.

This, absolutely shit time solo but if you have a willing friend then it's a fantastic B-movie experience. Mercenaries was fun as fuck too co-op

Avoided it like the plague back then, the daytime sections in the marketing rubbed me the wrong way. Only played it and 6 when 7 was about to release and I should've heeded those gut feelings. Wesker was entertaining but the campaign is such a tedious slog if you have no interest in co-op. I honestly had more fun playing 6 solo.

Like the gameplay but the story is embrassasingly stupid.

Wesker makes everything better

Attached: 995e5391113ec998-600x338.jpg (600x338, 37K)

RE4 wasn't dependent on co-op to be god. RE5 is. There's your difference.

Something about this game makes it the most compelling co-op experience I've ever had. And I frankly can't really tell why. Capcom backtracked harder on the designed more similar to 4 and reworked the game as multiplayer centric last minute.

Why is it so good?

That said, Wesker's suave smugness and awesome dialogue definitely helped appreciating the game. Seeing Oswell Spencer after so many games and being a total decrepit rich asshole was oddly fitting.

Damn, I hope Wesker is still alive.

Good amount of unlockables, ridiculous B-Movie story, robust control scheme that was stiff enough to feel grounded.
6 did much of the same but took itself too seriously and paced itself poorly by having to jump between 4 campaigns and the controls felt real fuckin floaty
Its still hilarious though

RE 4 wasn't level based, so it felt like a better, continuous adventure to me

Resident Evil 5 should be thankful that Resident Evil 6 exists, because now 5 is only the second worst

>one has shoehorned co-op
>the other doesn't

Hmmm real tough to figure out

I hate code veronica so much for turning this series into this garbage.

They really dropped the ball in 6 by not making Jake Wesker play like RE5 Wesker. That might have actually made the game fun

Douglas is a top-tier VA, singlehandedly took the JoJo dub from mediocre to peak kino.

Umbrella Corps my friend

I honestly think the puzzles/atmosphere of CV were great. The story was stupid, sure. But none of the stories in any of the games were anything better than serviceable

Wesker U

It's the only RE game I played once. I really tried to play it again and only got to the part where you shoot that truck that's driving towards you on that bridge. By that point it was just so fucking boring since the game rewards you with ammo and health whenever you kill the infected and there were crates and boxes everywhere containing the same items.

Probably the last real RE game but it ruined the series by killing Wesker. I still love it though.

Attached: 1551224093711.jpg (720x540, 25K)

>cv
I think you mean RE4, CV has classic story/gameplay. RE4 is the one that got rebooted when half-made bc they wanted an edgy zoomer shooter instead of a horror videogame for some reason.

Seeing as no one played it, mind explaining what that game did?
I thought it was purely multiplayer

Fuck off CV was the one that brought in power level bullshit.
At least RE4 just came up with a new type of enemy rather than just giving a prior killed character super powers

>mfw love Resident Evil in both styles
>played 1-3/Remakes and had a blast
>played 4 and had a blast
>played 5 and 6 with my bro and had a blast (have a soft spot for these because they hammed it up to 11)

I like them all. I want more action RE's in the future but I also want more horror-oriented ones. The only one I haven't touched is 7 since it looks like it's just a haunted house simulator, and not in the good way like 1

Attached: ....png (640x482, 299K)

I like you.
Also haven't played 7

>zoomers are the ones that bought RE4 at launch
>throws in buzzwords to blend in
>d-do I fit in yet guys?

way to out yourself you fucking retard

Attached: 1551820995546.png (750x828, 151K)

The trailer of Chris alone in Africa will forever haunt me with what could have been

yeah it's easy to kinda miss with how memed it is, but it's really a great performance. the way he enunciates things sharp and precise but still lets a growling kind of undertone creep in does so much for conveying character

Reminder that Matrix Wesker was the moment RE lore became the laughing stock of retardation it is. Everything concerning the Revived Wesker arc is trash.

I had reservations about 7 too but it's really just classic RE in first person down to a noticeable drop in quality near the end where it stops being horror and starts being shitty action

I was in a thread talking about it to someone. So here is my theory.

On the surface, it looks like a shitty game and you're right. It was rushed, clunky, full of glitches etc. So no one would take this seriously and forget the game.

Capcom said it was canon then quickly turned around and said it wasn't. Now they could be lying like they always do and may save some surprises later in the series.

You play as soldiers in a simulation that fights against bows. Later revealing characters from the series such as Chris Leon and Jake.

They're probably testing survivors strengths against new enemies. So they can always upgrade their bows power and find any weakness. The characters we see are probably clones who fight against the bows, while the companies. One which Wesker is still alive and running can sell the research or virus on the black market.
\
They may use it later, all though they tried to go back on the canon. Mostly because they may use this down the line as a surprise when Wesker comes back.
Just my theory.

>Matrix Wesker not the best Wesker

Attached: 867097fb2d63c009b61ff35b84c0e3f2.jpg (460x412, 23K)

You should try seven, it sounds like you'll enjoy it the least, but the gunplay feels damn good in its slow moving atmosphere. It might surprise you.

Also chainsaw duels

BORDERLINE EXPERIMENTAL

7's alright, i guess. give it a shot but don't have any reservations about dropping it if it doesn't do it for you. the best parts are just a texas chainsaw massacre 1 & 2 pastiche anyway

Praising RE4 is full force NPC behaviour. Only they actually believe it's not sarcasm.
Actual doomers like me know that RE4 was tons of fun but absolutely not an RE game. 5 and 6 just followed suit and perfected the horrible formula.
Here's how RE4 was supposed to be before crapcom ruined it. It's OK if you didn't know this, I know you weren't even born yet.
youtube.com/watch?v=h_5kwX0LZAc

I like when you get to the point where it blatantly rips off Gears of War except does it much worse.

I liked it back then mostly because I have great memories of playing it with my friend. Playing through it again years later by myself made me realize I enjoy it much less than I thought.

The movies were fucking incredible
I should get around to seeing The Final Chapter some day

Attached: problem.jpg (600x399, 49K)

Remember at the start when it rips off RE4 and also does that much worse?

It's great with a friend in the same way a lot of games are great with friends, and people tend to give it much more of a pass for that reason

doesn't fit

Final chapter isn't even laughably bad, it's just bad

Well thats a shame, the only one I found really dull was Extinction.
I did see they cut out Leon and Ada for no fuckin reason

Dude holds that stance while he walks as well, he fucking rocks it hard

This little faggot better be back for 8.
We need you daddy Wesker.

what kind of Silent Hill 3 is this

>I did see they cut out Leon and Ada for no fuckin reason
And Jill, so much waiting to see Sienna back only for her to get cut in the final movie.

>Guns feel like peashooters
>AI partner plays more poorly than your retarded little cousin
>These two facts in a co-op shooter with shared inventory
It's literally unplayable alone and even with someone else it is mediocre.

>what are your favorite memories of this ground breaking game
sheva.
and chris punching a boulder.

I enjoyed it with a friend. I understand why 6 felt so dull by comparison, on paper everything was better, but it had no soul.

I was obsessed Battlesuit Jill. The whole concept is dumb as fuck but I can't help but love her outfit and moves.

The tiny inventory and clunky item transfer between characters makes it a chore to play, especially solo.

Is there any better /pol/ wet dream simulator than RE5?

Saturation posting is that old?
Dios mio...

It didn't turn into for a number of reason that have already been well documented you fucking retard. The most obvious was the Gamecube couldn't handle that as well as there being no fucking plan as to where the game was headed in. It's exactly what happened with 2. I bet you think the shitty looking beta/early version of 2 is better, fucking retard.

Attached: 1544402005794.jpg (1280x720, 65K)

Its bait dude, he does this every thread
Notice that he neglected to mention that it split into DMC as well

Re5 is shit, re4 is shit

stay mad

>re4 isn't an RE game
>but this beta with ghosts and stupid dolls is

Attached: 1544383700190.gif (200x200, 1.32M)

you're shit!

I've yet to find another co-op game that has topped RE5. Everyone says that shit is tacked on, but I disagree. I also think it adds to the "horror" feel, especially if you're guiding a rookie through it. You're a veteran of the genre, but they don't know shit. You have to keep them safe, and seeing the DYING and ZA WARUDO triggers pop up immediately gets me into a worried state.

>brown and bloom 7th gen TPS
>soul
"No!"

Not just DMC. Many aspects of the castle setting from 3.5 was undoubtedly used in Haunting Ground.

>its not racist it's set in Africa of course its filled with Africans
>re4 had you kill tons of Spaniards
>gets to the African ungo bungo tribes
Aight maybe the game was a little bit racist.

>Everything about Birkin
>everything about tyrants
>Claire holding on to the bottom of a detonating train
>Ada surviving being electrocuted, stabbed by Birkin and Mr. X
>suddenly Weskers eyes glow red and the series is now anime power level garbage
This is the dumbest fucking meme about this series besides "muh resource management" and both are parroted by 15 year olds who never played any of the old games

it's quite silenthill-ish but still closer to survival horror than Leon's Edgy Shootout 4000

Yeah I played through it a year back and had completely forgot it had literal spearchuckers.

One has shitty escort missions.
The other doesn't,

I thought it was good then and it's definitely good now. I'll actually be playing it in the next couple days

To be fair those were big hulking monstrosity's, most complaints are focused at Wesker still being human-like as opposed to Alexia.
Also the Tyrant and Birkin didn't have super-speed or telekinesis of any kind

RE5 coop is amazing. If you anons ever manage to get a friend, revisit it - preferably on PROFESSIONAL

I too have yet to play a RE game I didn't like
I still need to play 6,7, revelations 1-2 and REmake2

I think REmake2 looks great through the limited amount of it I've watched though

Revealations is ridiculously action and pretty easy outside of specific bosses

Are you new here? It's all about the autistic camera angles.

>>Everything about Birkin
>everything about tyrants
They're mutated monster covered in body horror. They into the fantastical elements of the horror genre without being a full on super heros. Hell Hunters tred the line closer than those bosses do. You're basically saying its okay for superman to show up in The Thing.

>Claire holding on to the bottom of a detonating train
>Ada surviving being electrocuted, stabbed by Birkin and Mr. X
Fits what you can survive in game for the most part.
>suddenly Weskers eyes glow red and the series is now anime power level garbage
You forget the part where he has super strength and after image creating super speed with no real negative mutation effects. They don't even bother to really explain it either other than Wesker's Report going "uh yeah Birkin gave me a super serum".

Played it lot on PS3 but now I can't touch it. It's shit and overrated.

I liked it. Me and a friend marathon'd the game over a three day period.
Sheva is a god tier vidya girl and Wesker was cool as a motherfucker could get.

I did two different playthroughs with two different friends and just loved that game so much. Then I played on Professional with the AI partner and her lightning fast speed reviving my ass a couple times made it manageable, so I think the "terrible AI" thing was a bit of a meme.

Attached: 1440546297739.png (170x273, 33K)

>CV ruined the series
>not RE4

Attached: becca_face_unimpressed3.jpg (354x390, 25K)

Nah, they actually had an overarching villain with Wesker. The game has lacked direction every since they so pathetically off'd him

Actual evidence that Rebecca posters don't have the capacity to read

youtube.com/watch?reload=9&v=P14sk2ILOYE
You can't possibly argue that Resident Evil i still okay at the point of this scene

>they actually had an overarching villain with Wesker
They didn't really need to switch Umbrella over for one. Umbrella basically took the role of the Wayland Corporation from Alien movies, evil sons of bitches responsible for everything but ultimately just a background element while the monsters take center stage.

Nah, 5 is still the worst. 6 at least had the occasional good part.

Complete global lactation

twitch.tv/vargskelethor/clip/FlirtyLachrymoseHerdHassanChop

I think that Wesker was best utilized as a sort of personification of Umbrella. Working behind the scenes where we don't see him use his Matrix powers, sort of like in 4. Also, they severely fucked up his power levels in 5. He became really ridiculous. His CV and Wii games' power level seemed more appropriate

This, I don't know why people say the AI shit. If you put it on Attack, it'll actually attack and get shit done and if you put it on cover it'll pretend to not exist and nearly never take any damage in a whole playthrough.

better than 4 imo

It's not a very good RE, but it's damn fun to play with a mate. I think the problem with 5 in comparison to 4 is that it takes itself far too seriously. Where 4 was almost self aware in its ridiculousness, 5 doubles down on trying to tell a serious story, and I think it suffers for it.

Umbrella has never been just a background detail. 1, 2, 3, 0, and even CV, Umbrella is extremely central to all of them, you are either fighting in their bases of power or right alongside their agents. And then with 4, 5, 6, Rev 1, and Rev 2, the organizations involved are also very important. 7 is maybe the only exception, but just barely, because the Chris DLC puts the focus back on the evil organization.

People who say shit like this either started the series with 7 or are posers.

Decent game but jesus christ Sheva truly is best girl, too bad nobody ever wants to draw her

I was a bit scared playing through, but got through most of the co-op when one of my friends had a sleepover, then one day I joined a random online game to finish it with some English guy, played for 2-3, I assume he was a loner and he enjoyed my company, gave up on him after dying the first time to final wesker

It was shit when it came out and its still shit now. Anyone who thinks it's good is either underage or a fucking retard.

CV, 0, Rev1 are the only bad games in the series. 5 and 6 are actually good and arguably better than other games, like 3 and Rev2.

>5,6,rev 2
>better than CV

Attached: claire_laugh3.webm (1280x720, 257K)

I admit I was exaggerating a bit, sure they're much more important than something like the Wayland corporation in the first Alien movie, but my point is basically that they served their purpose as the shadowy group responsible for the mess. The user I was replying to seemed to be suggesting that the game's needed an overarching Villain and Umbrella wasn't really worthy of that, so like they needed Spencer personally there having evil monologues and antagonizing the protagonists or something.

Not him but yes.

>CV and Rev1 bad
>5 and 6 good

At least you're right about 0 and 3/Rev2 being okay.

>Zoomers who never played 3
the action focus was already there you fucking retards and 2 even was more action than 1

It truly is one of those cases where one can say that it is a bad Resident Evil game, but a wonderful coop experience. I’d never ever pick it over 4 for solo playthroughs, but oh man how fun it is to coop with a buddy. Also, can’t believe that it’s already 10 years...

5 was a great sleepover game

My top 3:
REmake, RE2, RE5

My bottom 3
RE6, RE7, RE:ORC

Unpopular Opinion: I preferred 5 over 4, because 5 had superior gameplay and didn't pretend to be a horror game while being an action game like RE4. RE5 embraced being an action game through and through.

Seconding this. Brought in elements like quick turns, destructible environments, gunpowder and Mercs. Also had its moments of 4/5/6-esque zombie hordes.

Quick Turns were needed because of Nemesis' speed.
Destructible Environments were needed to show how powerful Nemesis was
Gunpowder was added so that Players didn't run out of ammo aftrer wasting it all on Nemesis.

Zombie hordes makes sense given it was taking place in a populated city for most of the game.

Nemesis is both the best part and the worst part of RE3

yeah i actually fucking loved it when it came out.

it is not as good as resident evil 4 nd the a.i was fucking retarded but it was good enough for me to get the plat on it. not that it was very difficult to achieve since you can use all your unlocks without affecting trophies.

Attached: 1550953804479.png (900x1500, 306K)

4 ruined the series, but not because it had too much action dumbass

I disagree, RE didn't properly embrace action until 6 and you can see it in the mechanics. 5 upped the action and toned down everything else and yet still played about as stiffly as any classic RE in terms of combat and movement. It felt like it was in some weird limbo where it wasn't horror anymore but not really GOOD action either. 6's game design is absolute ass but at least it controlled like a proper action game. 5 just wasn't there yet.

imagine how much flak they would've caught prerelease if they had shown more than just the black hawk down homage sequences, how cheeky

Not saying it's a bad thing, just that action RE's roots can firmly be traced back to RE3.

Who here unironically likes 6? Wish I picked it up sooner cause I pretty cash

Attached: 20190211145351_1.jpg (3840x2160, 1.36M)

at the same time i think 6 was hamstrung by poor campaign design that didn't really let the mechanics flourish whereas 5, even if the play was a lot stiffer, set up its encounters and overall flow better.

i liked it at release cuz i got my buddy who is mainly into fps games to play coop with me over the course of 2 days. i didn't have the experience of playing with AI sheva my first time though, didn't really mind her though when i did solo runs after. kinda wish it had an extra chapter or two, the turret section on the cheap is the worst, everything else was pretty good

I unironically loved Chris' campaign, it was way more compelling and well-acted than it should've had any right to be, and those cramped Chinese tenements were a great setpiece

Quite a few anons do.

Mercenaries is great fun but the single player campaign is a mess.

That much is true. Honestly, both games would be more bearable if they had each others' good qualities.

Anderson Becky for MC of 8.

I liked some of it, but it had a couple unbelievably awful parts. Beyond awful vehicle sections, the tank chase, the helicopter chase, the giant BOW. Shit, what a mess.

Why do people like 4 so much but shit on 5 so harshly?

see

The entire game was based around a new stalker pursuit mechanic and things admittedly got a little more action due to a heavy Terminator influence with the Tyrant being armed this time. It basically took a different approach to horror that was more based on adrenaline, hence big explosions and an emphasis on quick decisions (which aren't even really QTEs, they just force a quick decision, they aren't making press some specific buttons to not die).

The following games started giving everyone ALice level kung fu and matrix acrobatics. at the press of a button.

Because RE5 abandoned all pretense of being a survival action game and fully embraced it's action roots with sequences where it plays almost exactly like a 3rd person shooter.

4 was well paced and had a good inventory lay out and while there was an escort mission it wasnt nearly as bad as having to deal with sheva ai. It also tried keeping a lot of the horror elements and puzzles. Playing re5 is alone honestly fucking sucks and it's a lot more campy over the top and lacked puzzles.

But RE4 did that first.

different expectations

Was there an update to sheva A.I or something because I've never had a single issue with RE5's AI since I played this game.
Was she dumb as a rock on release or what? I plat the game on prof with an ai partner. She was a godsend.

Nigga, don't make me have to explain this to you. RE4 placed a lot more emphasis on resource conservation, mainly ammo and herbs, than RE5.

people are just bad

Why do people hate RE6 so much.

I thought it was amazing and still do. Co op is a blast and solo isn't the worst thing in the world. I prefer the inventory to RE4 and the some of the encounters improve on 4 in terms of enemy density and variety, as well as just an overall higher intensity. I never got the hate for this game while 4 is revered, I love both.

Also best mercenaries mode and hilarious cutscenes.

Attached: 1550373417625.png (336x330, 141K)

>Was she dumb as a rock on release or what?
She was dumb as rock on release, completely irredeemable.

>re4
>ganados drop ammo/healing/etc
>this is fine

>re5
>majinis drop ammo/healing/etc
>RE5 SUCKS!!!

Cringe

Now that it was mentioned: was that tank chase bugged or what? I remember playing it in coop, and one of usually got crushed by the tank almost instantly when the loading screen finished. Ultimately, to pass it we both needed to pull off some fucking Track-and-Field tier buttonsmashing that would make even Mario Party players envious. Considering the fact that all other QTEs in the series mostly fall into the category of ”annoying but not hard”, we were left really confused by that and thought that it couldn’t have worked correctly, as I’m willing to bet that most players couldn’t pass it at all if it was supposed to be that hard for everyone.

Did anyone here experience the same, or was it really just some weird bug?

Having any appreciation and standards for level design and pacing, seeing as RE6 fails spectacularly on that front.

Are you serious nigga? At least RE5 had only 9 slots you could carry shit in unlike the hammerspace bank vault Leon has in his pocket

>send she a over a wall, or on top of a building
>doesnt pick up any fucking items
>game doesnt allow me to control her or go pick up items
>sheva runs into large zombie group to shoot her pistol
>sheva come to the exit
>takes her 5 minutes because shes across the map staring at a wall

I’d probably like it if there was a shorter recut version of the campaign that fused all the campaigns together, including only the best and most relevant parts of each, switching perspectives automatically in a way that is best for plot pacing. I rarely say that a game is too long, but RE6 just felt ridiculously bloated.

Except you have 2 characters

Not sure since I didn't play coop, but the helicopter chase killed me a bazillion times and I couldn't be arsed to understand what I was doing wrong. It's like this game barely had any QA staff or something.

that's if you're not playing it solo and just using the ai as an herb mule. it shines in coop though since it forces both players to actually coordinate what they carry

Indeed. Poor Piers.
I prefer 6's campaign to 5's since it works way better as an action movie than 5 and only becomes retarded in Ada's camaign which is at least the shortest campaign whereas 5 is retarded from start to finish.
>tank chase
The one with jake that takes 10 seconds? Agree on the vehicle sections being shit though. If by giant BOW you mean chris's boss fight I actually liked that one the most out of the 3.

Attached: 20190302165813_1.jpg (3840x2160, 1.05M)

I actually played through and beat all the campaigns for 6 a bit ago and I actually had fun with it. Skills were kind of pointless though and I was just burnt out by the end.

I liked literally every protag except for Helena. At least her sister had a nice ass.

>The one with jake that takes 10 seconds?
Was it that short? I remember the thing randomly crashing through the level or something and it just felt like a loud, dumb addition to the game. Here I am, playing Resident Evil and running from a fucking tank.

I like 6, but it took some getting used to, which is a cardinal sin for a AAA game. Just WAAAY too many oddball sections that were jarring in comparison to the run and gun that came before. Like the shootout in the cabin in Jake's campaign is good, but then they follow up with that god awful snowmobile section, or the missions in China with the humvee and bike, which are generally super fucking easy but way too long. Jet section was alright though.

Agreed. It was also fun doing Mercenaries with randoms.

Attached: r_sh2_000500000_bmp_jpgcopy.jpg (1280x720, 825K)

There's a mod that make her sister fully nude.

RE6 is all over the place and it shows on the credits sequence, it takes longer for it to roll than your average Assassin's Creed game.

the campaigns were definitely put together with a bunch of ideas but no overarching plan, it would be interesting to see a real in depth piece on the development

Never enjoyed 5 Mercenaires. They took the chad Wesker punch in 4 and made it into the virgin push in 5. Also didn't help the 6 characters were just 3 different chriss and shevas.

Pacing is a bit rough, but there's plenty of decent level design if you actually look for it.

In 6? I mean, there's moments of decency like the ID medal hunt in Jake's campaign, or the puzzle section in Ada's campaign, but the overwhelming majority of the game is designed like trash.

Re4 was played by babies and kids up to 5 years old? wow didnt know that mate

I liked the on-rails turret sections and the indiana jones temple

>He's an Umbrella experiment, dude
>Yeah
>No, really. He and dozens of other children of his caliber were collected and raised as components of the Wesker project by the Umbrella Corporation and given the surname "Wesker". 8 year olds, dude.

Attached: dude.png (1200x676, 1.09M)

Was there even an explanation for his powers in Genesis Code Veronica? All i could find for CVX was the Wesker's Report thing

Resident Evil 5 was great.
I'm playing Resident Evil 6 and it's really fun.
I don't know why losers hate it so much, all my favorite Youtubers love it
Old boring Resident Evil is overrated trash, a shame they went for the boomer audience

RE 123

Attached: 1547614370040.png (640x480, 176K)

This shit didn't happen until code veronica X. Compare the cutscenes.

>This shit didn't happen until code veronica X
I feel like X is generally regarded as the definitive version. In any event I know the Genesis version has Wesker getting full on femdomed like a bitch and lacks the cut scene of him bullying Claire, but aren't the vs Chris Cutscenes in the original?

this post was good until the end. either a fag or falseflag

Me too...

RE0, CV, 4, 5, 6... they're all fucked up.

I think that the original 4 was pretty good, but then they went "action" and fucked it up.

for me it's only 1, 2 and 3.

and remake 1 and remake 2.

What's wrong with an action game in a horror setting? It's one of my favourite concepts and kinda unexplored. It's why the first Devil May Cry is my favourite.
