It just depends on what you want from Exploration. For me a nice scenery and a enchanted weapon is enough. For me Skyrim feels the most satisfying. BOTW was also good, because it had no Questmarkers.

If you actually watched the documentary, you people would know that it's more so because of the desire for exploration and discovery than it is for suicidal thoughts. The documentary is mostly about the people who go down to Antartica, and WHY they go down there. It's because they have a desire to explore, they are weirdos who have "fallen off of the rest of the world", and they felt like they had no where else to go.

With how bloated game budgets are nobody is going to put the effort and money into something that most players won't see. That's why so many games blow their load in the first 5 hours and the rest is just copy paste bullshit.
