Metro is the best game there but most likely the least selected game of the 3 on that list just because of how big battlefield is as a franchise and because of how casuals love destiny mmo games which is anthem.

Turing is more advanced then even the latest AMD architectures which were for a long time more advanced with new API but trash in older API like dx11/ogl. The whole "buy AMD for dx12 and Vulkan" meme is completely finished because Turing does better than AMD with those new API whilst also being massively more power efficient and on a bigger manufacturing process (still essentially 16nm). Once Nvidia released their first 7nm cards on Samsung's high density process AMD will have a colossal challenge on their hands.

1070 or 1070ti would have been enough for 1080p at high framerates. The 1080ti will be overkill for 1080p for a few years so if that was your goal then great. But otherwise you just wasted money.

I just got the little brother 1070 TI (basically a 1080).

1440p is literally the dumbest resolution anyone can upgrade to. It's the new 900p. Everyone knows after 1080p the new standard will be 4k and all modern hardware coming out from AMD and Nvidia will be targeting that resolution as will the next generation of consoles. Even current gen consoles target 4k and go to extreme lengths by using upscaling techniques like checkerboarding to achieve that. The logical upgrade path is sticking to 1080p and then upgrading to 4k capable hardware and monitor when it's viable. All the people who bought into the 1440p meme are going to look like those same retards who bought into the 900p meme before 1080p became mainstream.

Is anyone else worried about devs handicapping their lighting systems to optimize for muh raytracing. That's what I dislike about new nvidea tech, they pay a bunch of devs too incorporate their new features and it ends up forcing older architecture into obsolete categories. The GTX 1060 is the most popular card, followed by probably the GTX 970-980. So I wish devs wouldn't jump on spending too much time on the newest features.

590 is literally obsolete now because of the 1660 ti which is ~20% faster for the exact same price. The only AMD card worth anything is the 570 if it can be found for less than 150 but you don't get 3 games with that. Vega 56 and 64 are absolute now by the 2060 and in my country there's only 1 vega 56 cheaper than the 2060 and it's some shitty Msi air boost blower cooler one which is garbage no matter how anyone tries to justify it. The rest are around the same price as 2060s and id take the extra performance of the 2060 for the same price rather than the games because I can always get those games on sale or torrent them but I can never gain lost performance or features by buying an inferior product.
