It's completely irrelevant because of how easy New Vegas is. If you're playing Hardcore and want to savescum less often to keep your companions alive, then it's not bad.

Install the stutter remover and copy the ini edits posted in the comments. I thought the game could only take 100 mods because I was also crashing every hour and getting black textures. Doing this fixed it.

Holmes has been killed before reaching me on my last few playthroughs, shame because I always find his encounters amusing (and I enjoy killing him for being dumb)

Has anyone tried to run interference for him when he runs off to see where he ends up? What happens if you kill all of the scorpions before he gets there?

He's just programmed to move to that spot, he doesn't do anything.

He just waits where the radscorpions spawn.

This NPC is the only one in the game programmed to feel pain. Hope you think about that next time you consider shotgun blasting his legs off.

For anybody interested, use this enb instead. It lets you edit the fuck out of it, completely tailoring it to whatever look you're going for. Granted, you'll have to do some work yourself but it's well worth it just for knowledge of how mods work and making sure nothing breaks. Not to mention it still looks good out of the box.

I imagine as much since most of the stuff is disabled, i mainly use its ambient occlusion and blur, its also working hand in hand with the enb quite well for me.

Enbs handle ao well enough. It's a dx9 game so ao will always look funky, just an engine limitation.

why is the game so dark in some area's?

Give shareX a go, id wager its the best general recording tool out there, you can do so much with it

ENB limitation, it's supposed to be nighttime but enbs have very hard transition values so dusk is hard to calculate. You end up with hard shadows and bright sky until like 9pm. I also tweaked my nights to be dark as fuck so I have to use flashlights or nightvision, this added to those shadows.

I get this bug too, I always thought it was because of all the mods I had installed.
