Huge performance issues, lack of meaningful updates, no effective ways to retain what new players it did attract, sold to Russians, then literally hiring Reddit to balance the game.
Sometimes you can get big fights on the weekends or during double xp, but the life of shootmans pretty much feels over.
I still play it but some stuff still bug me like when they remove the reload speed on prowlers when anchored
I played every day on Miller back in january and there were multiple 96+ fights every evening, it's not release tier but still stable with about 700-1200 players per servers during peak hours.
Friday nights usually have a lot of people on cobolt.

>An actual inventory system, and you could actually pick up another person's gun and equipment if you needed it on the go.
>A base capture system that required you to get through the defenses, infiltrate the main hub deep underground and then hack the computer and install your own nanites with an ANT, which was a dedicated vehicle that couldn't do anything but deliver nanites, require you to actually use fucking tactics to get the thing from A to B

>Freely spawn anywhere in the game world via meme pods and hopefully one shot a galaxy on your way down
>3 continents, 4 after release, everyone just plays on indar because there is no actual lattice system in place
>No logistics metagame, you just spawn closest to the point your platoon is zerging, if you die you just respawn at the closest point, or a galaxy/sunderer your captain is in, or just memepod in battlefield style spawning on your squad leader
>class system is just battlefield loadouts, pay 2 win guns that you need to either spend 20 hours farming for, or $3.99+tax
>Your inventory is restricted so that you buy the best in slot gun rather then picking one up from your friend who died.
>Base capture system is ripped straight from battlefield's capture points.
Simply put, they made a game that was a laggy piece of shit battlefield clone that had the MMO novelty
Yet it's the only fps that I ever cared for.

Daybreak boarded the battle royale bandwagon and abandoned it for H1Z1 and Planetside: Battle Royale Edition. The company is now dedicated %100 to console battle royale games.
The battleflow also collapsed entirely when everyone got sick of the absolutely abysmal performance and quit.
The DirectX 11 update is too little too late. The game has become a mess and the only people left playing it just want everything to be more geared towards zerg farming.
