BUFF VILLAGER HE HAS NO KILL CONFIRMS FUCKING AAAAAAA

Attached: 1538539222729.png (763x758, 570K)

I don't recall New Leaf having the ability to keep neighbors from moving/denying people moving in, so probably that. Also, more construction items.

hopes
>no rolling log
>more categories of things to collect, maybe birdwatching (would probably necessitate a full 3d camera)
>make the dialogue the most varied its ever been
>no stupid city builder gimmicks
>good sized town, 12-15 villagers
>let villagers be rude/shitheads sometimes
>cooking
>furniture customization
>more holidays and activities
>increase amount of interactions villagers can have with the world

expectations
>new leaf HD

dreams
>in addition to your town, which operates like previous titles, I would like there to also be a big open area to adventure in
>various biomes to visit, many of which contain whole other towns to interact with
>different fish, bugs, etc can be found in these other areas
>your villagers can move back and forth between the other towns, and you can go visit them

HOPES
>no more rolling log
>size, scale and overall art style similar to the 2006 movie, or the MK8 track
>huge town (at least twice the size of the first game)
>all the cool geographical features they dropped in WW (youtu.be/RrD9ptfF0iQ)
>whatever else NL forgot to bring back from the first game
>free 3rd person camera for an immersive experience
>shops and facilities are back in town
>the city is back, and acts as an MMO-styled hub where you can talk and trade with random players
>height slider, shortest option is similar to the chibi characters from the pre-NL games but slightly taller (think villager from smash)
>more custom design options like pants, shoes, socks, etc.
>SOUL. energetic soundtrack similar to the first game's. focus more on atmosphere like the first game did. let blathers speak again and give sable new dialogue that isn't just copied and pasted from WW/CF. bring back WW's character episodes that gave more insight on the special NPCs' lives
>get rid of the mayor shit because it just gives them an excuse to make the villagers overly nice, and completely goes against the theme of AC being about living on your own. PWPs can still be a thing this way, AFe+ had nook build PWPs and CF had the town fund
>have resetti do crazy shit like pretend to delete your town again
>isabelle shilling kept to the absolute minimum, rover is the greeter again

EXPECTATIONS
>me setting myself up for disappointment with this list and fucking shooting myself when they find a way to shove isabelle down our throats harder than ever before and nobody complains about it, because the AC fandom has been ruined by this fucking shill dog, with the normie half being isabelle obsessed smash secondaries who unironically find those "uwu smol bean she wears shirt that says fuck" memes funny, and the based half (4chins and the like) being isabelle waifufags who just want to fuck her and don't actually care about AC

Attached: please.jpg (275x326, 19K)

The only thing I really want is the ability to make sure at least some villagers won't move out and the ability to choose where their houses are placed.

Absolutely unironically purely based

Thank you, thank you. A toast to pre-NL boomers!

>Friend gave me his used copy of New Leaf since he knew I was curious about the series.
>Played it for a few days
>Kind of comfy
>The most fun I had was making clothes.
>Bob the Builder shirt

>Stopped playing because I got bored of everything else
>Recently been playing Style Savvy: Styling Star
>Can't stop playing that shit

Is there any hope for me to become an Animal Crossing fan?

Forgot the pic.

I hope that it will actually be a huge improvement over the original in terms of interaction and communication with the villagers but i know it will be more of the same with some new pointless gimmick.

this song is a lazy summer afternoon in 2001 in audio form

Why did people not like the rolling log again?
I went back to the GC version after putting a lot of hours into WW and the sector system felt jarring to me.

it doesn't have to be segmented like in the GC game. the switch is plenty powerful enough to have seamless movement across a flat town.

it looks stupid

It looks like shit compared to pic related

My biggest hope is they make an entirely different game that has the classic AC gamplay as a subcomponent.

Fucking kill Isabelle

Trying to change the subject I see? Well I may have Isabelle pictures but jokes on you, I’ve just masturbated! So now I have ZERO urges to look at hot and sexy pictures of a videogame character.
Although, next time could be different

BAT VILLAGERS!!

Soul

Less

If nothing else aside from clothing design interests you in Animal Crossing, then probably not.

>that video
Animal Crossing GCN had so much soul

I'll post what I always end up writing in these threads.
>Bigger villages
>More animal types
>More unique dialogue
>Job system
>Bigger city area
>Bigger island resort that is just Wii sports meets Animal Crossing
>Better friendship system, best friends can stay permanently and move in with you
>More minigames, like an arcade
>Better house customization
>Actual pathway construction

Wow so epic I definitely haven't seen this funny joke in 10 million AC threads before

I know it's you cityfag

Attached: sable2.png (275x275, 126K)

>hopes
Better dialogue. If that were to be the only improvement, I'd be fine with it.
Also, fuck grass wear.
>expectations
New Leaf HD + gimmick.

>BotW engine
>camping simulator
>no combat
>just bug collecting, fishing, picture taking, and foraging for villagers
>find other towns far enough out
>connect them with roads
>have a cabin in the mountain
>getting across the map requires multiple days of camping

yeah it'll never happen but Nintendo needs to do it with a new brand

Too much soul to properly recapture. We'll never truly go back

Attached: anguishedACwojak.png (882x800, 23K)

Hopes
>Dialogue that isn't cookie cutter sentences
>Larger villages that could expand the number of villagers that can move in
>Having the ability to choose where villagers can move
>More bugs, fossils, fish, flowers, and maybe another collectable?
>Include mini games that are "furniture" (like the Desert Island Escape / Puzzle League mini games)
>Better online (games, things to do, etc)
>Happy Home Designer controls (when moving furniture around)
>Being able to decorate a portion of you front yard (or back yard?) like in Happy Home Designer
>More K.K. songs

Expectations
>Animal Crossing: New Leaf - Welcome Amiibo Deluxe™ (with some new gimmick or something)

Attached: Isabelle.gif (680x447, 988K)

>Scanning an amiibo is the only way to unlock a villager who's an animal cosplaying as that character.

one day someone will write their thesis on how all good games are derived from only two ideas; exploring and fishing/bugcatching.

Hopes
>more sable merch
>sable amiibo
>sable having a big enough impact on newcomers so that more people will draw her and searching "sable able" won't give you porn for the first time in years

Expectations
>none of the above
>sablefags continue to suffer until the end of time

Improvements
>new dialogue for sable instead of copying and pasting from WW/CF (all special NPCs have been soulless since NL so this will not happen)

Any questions?

It will be literal mobile port and nintendofags will be happy to pay $69.99 + tip

lol this

What improvements and new stuff there even is in animal crossing games? From all nintendo games animal crossing seems to be the same, except multiplayer being added, making your own clothes, stuff like that. Game looks absolutely the same.

My main question is: what's the point of playing different animal crossing games when you could play just one?

The only two AC games that are practically the exact same are Wild World and City Folk

I only played wii, ds and 3ds one. And they are too similar, mate, even with new stuff introduced in new leaf.

It's hard to explain, but each AC game offers something slightly different. There may be certain features present in one game that are missing in another. Take the GameCube original, for example, which has tons of features that never returned:
youtu.be/ZlZeco94Cj4

Or how Wild World expanded upon the lore and worldbuilding with its hidden "character episodes" that were watered down in City Folk and then removed in New Leaf:
gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ds/920786-animal-crossing-wild-world/faqs/44202

It's also a matter of preference between each game's atmosphere, soundtrack, art style, etc... I personally play the GCN game and New Leaf the most, with Wild World being one I play relatively often. However, I've almost never touched City Folk.

Attached: DF604723-C7C8-4A79-92BC-EB0CF5363268.png (480x508, 69K)

I liked city folk a lot tbqh.

I played City Folk for maybe 4 days before dropping it.

Yeah but you agree with me that new additions are barely important or noticable and it's just better to stick to one game or at least not play every animal crossing released? It's been on every console since gamecube. It's like new super mario bros series, but hardly anyone cared for that.

Ok, I never played AC.
Can you explain it to me?
Is it multiplayer? (In the same way pokemon is maybe)
I see people having 1k+ hours in it. What makes it so addicting and gives it such longevity?
Is it a relaxing/comfy game?

I hope they add better money sinks I seem to recall the only real money sinks of early games was the stupid fuckin feathers. I also really want new collectables like perhaps reptiles. I caught reptiles as a kid god damnit I wanna real live my childhoold you jap fucks and your fuckin bug fighting. As for what it will probably be? New leaf on switch with maybe one new "big feature" of some sort.

try new leaf if you got a 3ds.
game basically offers you two or three years of everyday gameplay (you play it in real time, days last 24 hours) tjere are like 300 possible dif. villagers, with around 8 personalities. that's entry info i think
Is pretty comfy if youre looking for non-stressful stuff

Attached: comfy goat.jpg (630x631, 45K)

Doesn't get much more accurate than this.

*two or three years of gameplay before it starts getting stale. I believe that's the gimmick, that you can pretty much play 5 minutes or hours a day or skip weeks and nothing too terrible will happen

No. Aside from city folk which was a lazy port the other three games are very different.

this is taking way to long to come out

Pretty much yes to all the above. As for what makes it so "addicting", it's a bit hard to explain. AC isn't really for everyone and is the kind of thing you need to experience for yourself to determine whether you really like it.

I've never liked life sims, but I love AC for its music, characters, and unique art style. Unlike other life sims you're not really meant to have much control over the world (Up until New Leaf at least) and are usually meant to just let things happen.

Online is pretty simple. You just go to your friends' towns (or vice versa) and fuck around for a bit. New Leaf has this thing called Club Tortimer where you can meet with strangers online at the island if you're lonely like me.

I recommend either the GameCube game or New Leaf, but I'd personally hold off on NL since there will be a new game this year for the Switch. The GCN game is unique for having the best dialogue, soundtrack and atmosphere in the series on top of the biggest town and most geographical variety. It's missing a lot of the QoL improvements of later games and customization is very low, but I'd say it's still worth it due to all the features it has that have yet to return in another game.

I'd like more interactions with furniture/items to have fully realized animations.
Editable terrain would be nice too.

you can have it right, or you can have it right now

LET ME MARRY AN ANIMAL NINTENDO, ITS TIME

When are we getting a gameplay trailer

You can feel the pain in this mans soul. Nintendo do the right thing for people like him.

with ultimate capturing everything good about melee and distilling it it's hard not to be hype for animal crossing

So probably the switch one looks bery promising as it’s going to be back on a home console?

Also, do you meet people online like you do in a mmorpg and fuck around together or you just see their char like in mii plaza?

I only played smash (melee and now ultimate) in the past 8 years (very busy with work/family), but I want a game about micro management to fill some off time I have (commute or boring evenings).

It has to be comfy and immersive.
I was hoping it would be the new pokemon, but the artstyle is so fucking ugly that I got pretty disappointed. So now Im looking into AC but I never played it.

>>isabelle shilling kept to the absolute minimum
I will not buy your game now

I just want to receive smut letter in return when I send some.
More variety in villagers, both in types, in dialogue and in moods.

Pretty soon, wouldnt be surprised if they did let you at least romance/Date

A more active, adventure-oriented way of earning money and finding items, possibly even a straight up action RPG side-game.
Every villager has a unique personality again.

Pocket Camp + New Leaf on Switch

Yeah, online is like an MMO where you can talk to people and trade items and money. Club Tortimer is basically a lite MMO except the only room is tiny (Though there are minigames to make up for this) and there can only be up to four players on the same "server". Online with friends is more fun because there's far more space in a town and more to interact with.

I'm hoping AC Switch will break the 4-player online limit.

You can actually hang out and play?!
MUH DICK
Ok I’m hyped. I’ll watch some videos and read some wikis about it.

Last question: are there many missables? Is it a hard game to 100%?
Except it requiring time.

Attached: FE92FD46-4E05-4EAB-B2F9-50EB0CB77671.jpg (1000x563, 132K)

This 2008 game and its three JP-only sequels took the AC formula and mastered it day one. Features it had that AC will never ever have:
>every villager has unique dialogue and a backstory that you slowly learn as you get closer to them
>you can date every villager, regardless of gender
>daily school and classes with a set schedule where you actually learn things so there's a reason to play every day
>COOKING
>other players can physically move in to your town instead of just visiting, and you'll share everything
>quests and events that follow an overall plot and always gives you something to do
>you can learn to cast spells which influence the game and the world around you, on top of the usual AC tools and mechanics
>can open up your own shop and sell things to the other villagers (like opening up a bakery to sell the cakes you cook), and eventually expand to opening an entire mall
>you can play an instrument, and if you're playing one outside other villagers can pull out their own instruments and form a band with you, where other villagers will stop and listen
>actual map locations instead of a giant randomly generated plain; forests, actual cities, a haunted mansion, and more
It's pretty disgusting that Animal Crossing is more popular than Magician's Quest.

A large map where everything is life sized and you have a third person view insted of a top down locked camera, followed with more thíngs to do beside fishing and catching bugs, also villagers actually have more personality, text and things to do + maybe a relationship counter like in the sims, would welcome a sims like house editing aswell

>Expectations
We will get the same treatment as link Awakening

Attached: wSRRGTm.jpg (1000x400, 121K)

AC has many goals. To most people, the primary goal is fully upgrading your house, which can take long depending on which game you're playing. But there's far more to do than just that.

The most traditional "100% completion" type goal in the games exists in the form of the museum, where you donate various insects, fish, fossils, and artwork you've found throughout town. Completing each of these sections sometimes has a reward.

New Leaf added actual achievements in the form of badges, which come in three levels. The only thing I wouldn't recommend you try to 100% complete is the catalog, as it's huge and would take forever. Even the highest level of achievement for the catalog badge in NL only requires 80% catalog completion. It is somewhat easier in the GCN game though, since it's smaler and there are no exclusive limited event items or anything like that.

There's a lot more to AC, but I won't spoil everything for you. I do recommend speaking to certain shopkeepers every day, even ones that don't seem to have a lot to say. You'd be surprised with the amount of depth some of these characters have.

>implying we'll have it right even if they take their time with it
Right now, please.

Magicians quest has always been one of those games ive known about but never bothered going through the steps to play. I seem to recall it getting mehs from critics. Were there legit issues with the game or were critics being retarded like usual.

It's been a decade since I last played the series so I don't remember, but from what I can remember, it was literally a 1:1 copy of Animal Crossing but with so much more depth and content. I don't remember a single time where I said "wow, I wish this part was like Animal Crossing". Maybe the music?
All the bonus shit like school, spells, and quests were completely optional. You could just play it like straight AC.

Probbably cause it was so similar to WW. Critics seem to instantly take points off for mearly being in the same small niche genre of game as another. Fuck 90% of pokemon type games get meh reviews. Even if just about all of them are better then pokemon games now...

Better furniture customization, like Sims 3 Create -a-Style where you can place patterns on pretty much anything.
Also, WAY more roon for patterns but that's probably a given.
Also abolish the HHA points system, all it does is encourage boring cookie cutter houses with nothing but full series sets in all rooms, not to mention a billion cafes.

no... please don't do this

No NES/SNES games to play, no interest.

think a little harder brainlet. do you remember nintendo switch online?

Dating

no fuck off fur nigger

In AC, not fucking HERE BUY OUR 30 YEAR OLD GAMES AT A PREMIUM PRICE for idiots.

Brainlet.

I'd like to see more variety in villager personalities.
Aside from just making the base personalities more varied (New Leaf barely had any difference between some of them) and letting smug/snooty villagers be cunts again, also add more variety per villager.
I thought up a sort of compound system, where a villager's personality is made up out of:
- base personality (the same as the established system, maybe with two more personalities)
- age group (young adult, adult, elderly)
- a hobby (from a list of hobbies, separate of personality)
- species, where this determines their interactions with other species, influences their sleeping schedule, and determines what they eat (i.e. cats eat fish, frogs eat bugs)
- possibly confirm familial/pre-existing friendship ties between certain sets of villagers

Not that this will happen, but I'm pretty pleased with myself.
Oh, and some height variety between villagers of the same species. And bats would be neat.

That it gets cancelled.

This, would revive the interest in the series

>cant afford 20 dollars for online
bum ass faggot

Thank you so much for taking the time to type all that.

>exclusive limited event
Online or like in-game yearly? If online, are they like limited time pokemon in the pokemon games? Or are they like challenges? Are they ever multiplayer (vs-like)?

What is the catalog? I love 100%ing, I might be autistic. If I can, especially if difficult, I’ll 100% go for it. I just hate missables (like online events, but if there are I just follow their twitter or something), especially in a game which I’ll play for thousands of hours.

The catalog catalogues furniture and clothing items you have had in your possession at some point. This includes art, fish, bugs and fossils.

I looked into it. Except online events, nothing is missable. God bless nintnedo for still making games like it’s the 90s for autists like me.

Oh, floors and wallpapers too.

Ok thank you. Seems like the caralog will be my major appeal.

brilliant post. simple details that these will make the game more replayable.

>100%ing AC
nigga you just set your own goals. Just go with the flow and do what you feel like until you get bored and drop the game

So basically, it’s a comfy game about collecting and showing off your stuff to your friends and exploring/relaxing.

Seems like what pokemon used to be. Exactly what I was looking for. Maybe even better than pokemon for what I’m looking for.

I know you're just being ironic to get (you)s

that’s exaclty what I want to do tho

Get ready for 3DS graphics

repistan my list:
Villagers
>more personality types, I want grumpy villagers to go back to being assholes
>quirks that act like 'sub-personality types' so that two villagers with the both type will still have some small differences
>more complex personalities and 'settings': a tsundere that acts like a jerk but slowly opens up, a chuuni whose character breaks every now and then, a shy one that follows you around hiding, someone who changes personality during the night, etc
>a LOT more dialog lines
>being able to choose where new villagers will build their houses
>best friends that will never leave your town
>room mates, both in your house and between villagers
>villagers related to each other (brothers, cousins, childhood friends etc)
>more interaction with them, like being able to invite them to fish, catch bugs, shop, play soccer etc
>villagers can do the same things you can, so you can see them actually catch bugs and fish, dig holes, plant trees, eat fruit etc
>villagers can expand their own homes, buy clothes and furniture from the shops

Village
>houses for Nook, Able Sisters etc
>more varied zones like mountains, marshes, jungles, etc
>caves: like fossils, are generated at random places every day
>inside them you can find fossils, minerals, different types of bugs and fish, maybe a bat NPC
>more and more interactive PWPs, like being able to build soccer fields or something that add new things to do

Activities
>bring back NES games, they could put those short VC demos or let you play your own VC games
>more minigames like the ones on holidays
>jobs: just like when you had to work for Nook or when you work at the coffee shop, you could work for the Able Sisters to design clothes on commission, or at the Postal Office and deliver mail to the villagers
>an online hub where you can meet with other players, like a mall or something, kind of like the island from NL

There's a lot more but that's enough for now.

>quirks that act like 'sub-personality types' so that two villagers with the both type will still have some small differences
Something like maybe?

I asked a friend with a 3ds if he has AC, I can fuck around in it to see if I like it and should play it on switch.

For now it’s 75% this, 25% the new pokemon.

I just want comfy micromanagement with multiplayer.
Minecraft doesn’t have a final goal, and single-player only games like Botw have lost all meaning to me.
So stuff like pokemon/AC are perfect for downtimes.

Attached: pocket camp deluxe.png (300x291, 153K)

Isabelle is your queen now, deal with it.

>but is there any reason other than that to play it?
Different holiday events, world layout is handled differently, the town feels bigger in general, NES games you can earn, train models that interconnect which is awesome, and better interactions with villagers are all that come to mind. The only downside is fossils need to be mailed in rather than having Blathers figure them out and bells are much more annoying to come by and pretty much require you to play the turnip market.

Outer villages.
The village is no longer a hard border, there are paths to environments with less to see but the chance of finding more exotic objects, bugs, fish, etc.
This wilderness connects to several satellite towns, the first of which is already populated and the others develop at a pace that you can see them evolve.

Your villagers can visit these satellite towns and likewise the villagers from these towns can visit your town.

>- species, where this determines their interactions with other species

I feel like Let's Go Pikachu coexisting with Sword and Shield suggests Nintendo is aware their core audience wants different games to their emerging mobile audience.
The new Animal Crossing is likely the type of game we would want, but doesn't remove the possibility of a free casual game in the franchise won't also appear at some stage.

The log only existed because of the limitations of Nintendo's former platforms. The original DS (First time log was in) was weaker than the N64, so they needed a clever way to deload the world without looking like it was deloading things. It's an archaic old technique that doesn't need to be used anymore with Animal Crossings simplistic graphical style., even as weak sauce as the Switch is.

I think the log world in WW was also to incorporate showing the sky on the upper screen.
I would love if AC Switch gave you options to choose between acres and log at any time.

They'll be lazy and just upres new leaf and port it with lots of paywalling faggotry that'll cause me to NOT buy the game in any capacity

>improvements
Bear with me, autism incoming.

-Fishing reworked to actually take effort. Will now need bait which is directly tied to fish's interest. New tackle shop will help with better rods, lures, live bait. They'll eventually sell diving gear, fishing/cast nets, etc.
-digging only is useful in minigames and hiding stuff in the ground now. Fossils, gems, and such will instead be found in the new Village Mine.
-Bug catching is also harder now, bugs will routinely evade you with new "bug tactics"
-Expanded village, and areas outside village are explorable even into vast reaches
-Within those vast reaches you find animals who aren't part of your village, once you find them, they're there in that same spot until you can slowly decipher their language and ask them to join your village
-More types of naturally occuring foliage. Bushes, larger growing trees like New leafs town square tree
-Also in the outside areas, you can find caves with rarer fossils, gems that sell for more and can be used to craft better furniture items (Eliminating the need for the island, you actually earn this and its better RNG, tho you can still sell fish and bugs, why change that?)

interior
-No more furniture grid, furniture objects are solid self contained objects now and you can manually place things with a placement tool, there's no limit to how you can place things except the room/space you're in.
-Roommates whether another player, or another animal (no relationships, this is a fucking kids game fuck off furfaggots)
-You can now tell Tom Nook how to design the floor plan/walls.

I don't care whether its rolling log personally, I'd rather have it be one large area but I'm w/e to it. Also at this point, I think we're all sick of the museum so maybe replace it.

Yes, it's weak. To deny this is to deny reality around you, I'm a Nintendo fan but I suffer no delusions. The hardware is garbage.

also forgot to add, you'll eventually be able to get a NPC that can re-roll your areas outside the village "magically" for a LARGE fee. Resetting the areas completely by random generation. All mountains, forests, mineshafts and whatever else will all be re-rolled. Probably will cost something like a million bells or more.

it's really not.
Tegra is really impressive and can do some impressive stuff as stock clocks.
Switch is severely underclocked to work in the form factor and with the battery restriction.
Whenever someone is adamant it's a console, they really have no idea what they're talking about because the console equivalent exists and it's able to be about double the clockspeed just by being in an actual console design.

Thus comparing the switch's hardware to a PS4 is as ridiculous as comparing the PS4 to a modern PC.
They're in completely different classes.
Switch is impressive for a handheld.

I hope we can go back to the YMO/Hosono sounding music from Totaka like the original.
I dont really care though about much as long as it comes out this year.

By Nintendo's own words, it is a portable console. Your mental gymnastics mean nothing. It is directly, by everyone except delusional new age fans, competing with PS4 and Xbox one. The platform is weak, every multiplatform is toned down, even first party titles suffer to render distant objects, or to keep many entities on the screen, and even when many entities are on screen the textures have to be dialed down, or the draw distance is reduced.

It
Is
Weak.

Whether you compare it to a smartphone, a laptop, other mobile gaming devices, or a home console.

Weaker than others? Sure.
Weak? Nah.

I'm going to get it no matter what because I've never played an Animal Crossing before.

>calling a spade a spade is mental gymnastics
you're a moron.
marketing speak means nothing.
Activision called Crash N. Sane Trilogy a remaster even though it's objectively not.
>It is directly, by everyone except delusional new age fans, competing with PS4 and Xbox one
no it's indirectly competing.
Like how coca cola competes with a milkshake.
>The platform is weak, every multiplatform is toned down, even first party titles suffer to render distant objects, or to keep many entities on the screen, and even when many entities are on screen the textures have to be dialed down, or the draw distance is reduced.
yeah, because it's a handheld.

If you want to ignore facts that's up to you.
If it wasn't a handheld the tegra would be running at stock clockspeeds.
But it's not.
Because people have overclocked the switch and it has caused battery bulging.
It can't push the performance in that form factor, which means it's a handheld first and foremost and your argument is completely false.

Now apologize.

>sable amiibo
Yeah, they are never fucking doing AC amiibos again with the way they went down before. Never seen that much merch on clearance so regularly before. I want a Sable amiibo too but it ain't happening.

What if's mean nothing. It doesn't matter that if it wasn't a portable it'd be "Amazing", or if it could be overclocked. It's a portable, and it cant. We're living in the here and now, and the things I've said are fact. The fact is it's still weak, and your fuckin shill damage control disproved nothing.

Go die in a bin fire Nintendo employee.

>It's a portable
so you admit you were wrong.
good.

Now apologize and I'll let you go.

Attached: 1541394885372.png (326x301, 35K)

I knew you'd resort to that, so I didn't even bother to correct myself because you're not actually reading anything I've written. Yes, a portable console by their own words.

Fuck off.

>it's not a handheld, it's a portable that you hold in your hands
remember lads, this is the guys accusing people of "mental gymnastics".

Attached: 1551115620880.jpg (914x700, 202K)

So why do you say a portable console is in direct competition with non-portable consoles again?

Hopes/Improvements:
>Ability to go swimming/dive in rivers and lakes
>COOKING. SYSTEM.
>The ability to have get-togethers other than one villager visits. Things like parties, sleepovers, potlucks, ect.
>More wall/ceiling furniture
>Ability to keep in touch with your favorite villagers, even after they've moved away
>Actual character customization ala HHD and maybe more
>Re-implementing Sable's story, possibly getting a similar system where you learn what all happened to Tom nook while he was working in the city, or Label's story of running away from home
>Return of the city/bus system
>More intricate aquariums that you can keep multiple fish in. Maybe terrariums for insects and plants, too.
>More town geography. Gimme shit like giant hills that you look at when you first move in and think "holy FUCK I can't wait to go sledding down that thing when winter comes"
>Speaking of, more things to do in the snow. Sledding, snow angels, making more than just snowmen, ect.
>Having some animals move in alone, others are housemates, ect.

Localizing the 3DS Magician's Quest is pretty much the only way Konami could redeem themselves in my eyes. That and making up for Lost in Blue: Shipwrecked by making another actually good entry to the series.

Because it is. In every graph, poll, industry analysis, in every gamers mind. Hell, in Nintendo's own direct words and market demographic it's a portable console. It doesn't matter the designation of portable console, or home console, the platform IS Nintendo's main platform, the 3DS is their portable platform. The main platform always competes in the main market. If you're seriously not understanding this I don't know what to tell you. Your headcannon for what this platform is targeting doesn't matter.

tl;dr for ADHD new age fans

main market platform=\=handheld market

Switch=the main platform
3DS= the portable

/argument.

cool. so what are you hoping to see in Animal Crossing on the Switch?

The 3DS got retired boyo, nothing new is being released for it.
you're basically retarded.

>it's not a handheld it's a portable
>I don't care that thermal and power restrictions make the form factor unable to be any more powerful it's got to be compared to x86 AMD boxes that sap power from the wall
>also those x86 boxes can't be compared to x86 boxes that run steam because that's not fair

>Hopes

Probably nothing

This has been all Switch games so far

Already posted What if's dont concern me yes, because they're what if's, thats it. The switch is "As Is". Even if they get a hardware revision they cant abandon a install base of 30m+ users. They tried that with the DSi, and New 3DS, I'd hope they weren't stupid enough to try to do this a 3rd time. They won't make new games unplayable on old hardware, so your what if's and speculations about what it could or cant do don't matter. I'm only concerned with what the Switch we have can do, which is considerably less than its direct competition.

how is that a what if?
Like how a PS4 can't be any more powerful or quiet because of its form factor a handheld like a switch can't be any more powerful either.
The different form factors define it being a handheld a console or a PC.

Why are you pretending having an HDMI output through an adaptor suddenly makes a handheld the competition of a console?
That's like saying plugging a keyboard and mouse into a PS4 or XBO makes it competition for PCs.

don't bother arguing with him. he's not going to change his mind

I'd like it if they added new stuff to do so there's a reason to actually get it instead of just emulating an old game with an identical experience.

I swear every time someone brings up MQ you can just tell they're just regurgitating what they read about the game and never played it. It's basically a "what if worst harvest moons but with a real time clock".

WOLF PUSSY

I miss the watchdogs at the gate.

add sex and human animal hybrid babys

If "leaks" like this come true I'll kms

absolutely based and animalcrossing pilled holy fucking shit ive never seen such a grand and absolutely inarguably true statement in my entire life or the existence of the universe

Remove the need to go to Blathers to check fossils. Seems like a pointless obstacle since you don't have to mail them in anymore. Or make it so you have to earn certification to check your own fossils.

From the general

Prevent time traveling scumbags

The only reason people even remember AC is because of her

fuck no

I love Anchovy with his derpy little face

jesus fucking christ
It's a children's game
You're really braindead if you think Nintendo would add any handh*lding to their games.

>nintendo adds romance/dating/marriage into their new animal crossing game in order to boost the low borth rates in japan

>shinzo abe to become ceo of nintendo

>Hopes?
not Happy Home Designer "Deluxe"
>Expectations?
Happy Home Designer "Deluxe"
>Improvements?
remove the card bullshit

i know i'm going to be let down. my dream is for biomes- deserts and stuff. something more plausible but still not happening is 3d camera. i know they won't make villagers rude again. i'll at least buy it if rolling log is gone. i don't think they'd do the log thing again. it sucks.

Wasn't on Wii u, and has been on every other console since n64

It's never been where every villager has a unique personality

I just hope it will turn out great.
And I hope it won't be a rushed and unfinished piece of shit, but that's unlikely because this is Nintendo we're talking about.

Attached: Missing features in a rushed game.png (720x400, 322K)

"This is Shinzo Abe and im here to tell you something about the new upcomming animal crossin game. This time around your main goal as the major is to sattle down and get married and have at least 3 kids with your fave villager"

Why would you even expect HHD+ and not NL+?
What makes you think a mainline game will be a sequel of a spinoff?

"After reaching your objective, the game will automatically link you to a player that got together with a villager that matches your personality. Please enjoy Animal Crossing: Next Generation in real life as well.
Please."

Some kind of schedule to the characters (like in Majora's Mask) would be nice.

I'm with ya lil nigga
