There's a lot of fanbases that are terrible in general but not so much on Yea Forums. As long as people keep it to one thread it's fine, but Smashfags create a stupid amount of threads and Sonyfags actively try to ruin other peoples discussion.
I think the real villain of Yea Forums is faggots who can't filter threads for things they don't like and go out of there way to enter threads and complain about them
