About to play this for the first time. What am I in for?
100 hours of cringey and embarrassing waifu gotcha garbage followed by 20 hours of a good JRPG.
A shit game.
But is the 20 hours of good JRPG worth it?
Yes
Some of the most cringe you'll ever see in vidya.

I would actually try this if you can skip cutscenes, can you do that?
>Dad walks in
"OnichaAaAaAaAaaan!!!!~ Uuuuguuuuuuuu!~"
For 100 hours.
Should've waited for dragon quest.
Best overall best RPG this gen. Has it's faults but it's fun. DLC is great too.
Of course.
fun
A terrible fucking game forced by 2-3 anons on Yea Forums
This is a pretty good explanation
>Still on the first playthrough, eh son? I just finished NG+ on Torna
FPBP
>>Dad walks in
No
A good time but incredible frustration with the core crystal system
You're either going to love it or hate it, I've seen no in between opinions. I liked the first Xenoblade, haven't gotten around to any of the other Xeno games yet so I'm not a huge Xeno fan or anything, and I don't mind the more anime look, but this game was pretty bad to me. One of the only games in recent memory that I never even managed to get myself to finish. The first chapter was interesting but it goes downhill from there. The battle system opens up more, but it gets pretty boring, I don't see why people praise it. The end of chapter cutscenes are good, but others are a mixed bag of boring bullshit and awful fucking writing. So I hope you like the battle system or waifus can carry you through a game.
why does this keep getting posted anyway
it's an optional side quest for a blade you might not even get until NG+ depending on your core luck and you can just skip the cutscene
ONE
It's an accurate representation of what the entire game is like outside of battle
But there's actually 0 reason to play torna on ng+ dad. No new blades, no new encounters, nothing. I 100%d it the first time and dropped it, the third superboss was much harder than the last one.
>the weebshit that gets spammed here is on par with the wojak peepee spam
>all of it is directly reddit
too obvious. the nier spam is probably under the same people too
>Welcome to 4channel, where everyone is reddit and the (you)s don't matter
REMINDER: Xenogears died so zoomer weebshits could have a waifu simulator.
>these normalfags seething over that guy rightfully using Pyra and Mythra's Japanese name on last thread
Yea Forums truly has become reddit
AND
THAT'S
A
GOOD
THING
I think Bringer of Chaos difficulty is only available in Torna's NG+, so that's the only real reason. Would've been nice to have gotten Malos as a blade or something, though.
ya good
fuck that evangelion shit, i'd rather think about cute girls
>ironic weeb game has ironic weeb fans
This is an issue?
Hi-jinx with waifus and a Welsh cat.
>Waifufag got banned last thread
>Nobody is defending the game anymore
Hmmm....
JUST
Reminder that the best girl in all of Xenoblade was raised by gay dads.
You're right, I shouldn't expect more.
Too bad nobody ITT played her game.
Copy pasting from other thread
Screenshot all tutorials as you cannot review them
the games biggest flaw is it's tutorial system being nonreviewable and not being done with cute pictures like XB1
Also pass on the tip you can move to cancel autocombos and that attack 1 of an autocombo is the fastest so by spamming that you can charge shit faster than just doing a full autocombo.
Enemies will not feel like HP sponges if you play properly
Sounds about right. I know there are people who actually like the game for the combat or story or something, but whenever someone says something bad about it, it always seems to be a waifufag that rushes to its defense.
>Enemies will not feel like HP sponges if you play properly
I don't know about that, I'm pretty sure the enemies in early - mid Uraya are always going to be tanky unless you turn down the difficulty.
>Enemies will not feel like HP sponges if you play properly
This is mostly true. I'm trying again after I gave up a year ago and I've learned how to combo now and fights go faster. But they still feel pointlessly lengthy, and the meh combat, bad characters, and bad writing are losing me in the same place again (early chapter 4).
Hello there, Xenoblade 2's biggest fan!
You sound a bit obsessed.
>didnt think about spamming attack 1 until like chapter 9
Life would have been so much easier with that tidbit alone
Imagine being OP and asking an innocent question about a game, only to get assaulted by a massive wave of organized shitposting
>namefag
>Muh tranny discord boogeymen
One of the many problems with this place is that anytime someone says something negative about a game, someone who likes it assumes that it's just shitposting, because no one could possibly dislike something they like.
xenogears died because squenix sucks my friend.
He got several serious responses you retard. Just because a lot of people here don't like the game doesn't mean their shitposting.
*farts*
Is there anything I need to do before NG+? I've finally gotten all the rare blades and S ranked Ursula. I havent done all the Blade story quests but I've done most of them, left most normal quests unfinished and I havent bothered with getting Shulk, Fiora or Elma.
Rex please leave
Enter challenge mode at least once if you haven't already, that'll make it available in Argentum.
This is it. Hyperdimensionblade Chronicdiarrhea is fucking dead. We made it a shallow grave, stomped on it, pissed on it, and shit in it's fucking mouth. Nobody thinks this garbage piece of shit is anything more than the Fallout 76 of JRPGs, just as it should be. We fucking won, bros.
They uploaded a new one.
The Nopon arena place? I did try it out for like 30 minutes but I still had main game stuff to do so I havent really fucked with it. Maybe I should grind up the swimsuits or other cosmetics before I start NG+
woah
Grinding the swimsuits takes a while, I'd just wait until NG+ to do it. (Unless you really want to see the swimsuits in the first couple of cutscenes.)
Killed by lvl 80 monsters every five feet
The battle system is pretty fun, but the game does a pretty bad job of explaining it and you don't get most of the mechanics until 20 hours in or so. If you're constantly getting your shit wrecked by enemies at about the same level, you're probably doing something wrong. There are a lot of things to keep track of, so it could be something like forgetting to upgrade your weapon abilities or not equipping new weapons on blades.
The voice acting and story are hit and miss, and the field skill system is super annoying. You'll probably want to keep a diverse stable of trash blades to simply fulfill field skill or merc requirements. There are a few points later in the game that will probably require you completely shuffle your team around to progress. I even had to go back and grind a bit to satisfy one.
The blade system is pretty annoying too. Even if you skip the animation it takes a pretty long time to bond with a blade, and you'll constantly have to go back into a different menu to dismiss blades to make room for more. The skip animation option also skips the unique intros the rare blades get.
If you ever run out of money, start salvaging and you'll be rolling in it very quickly. If you can't craft something even when you have the materials, check to see if your inventory is full of boosters. Annoyingly some of the salvage items also create boosters, and if that would overflow your inventory, it won't let you craft the item.
I just picked up Torna and it's super polished in comparison. Even the graphics are improved and playing in portable mode doesn't make me wish I was blind as much as the original.
>a massive wave of organized shitposting
The XC2DF is on some serious shit.
I forgot to add that I had a lot of fun with the game, I'd give it a lowish 4/5. It would have benefited from some spit polish though. Some stuff just seems a little half baked.
