Kiwami's Amon is not canon (With regards to the Amon timeline) because his motivations do not work with the games coming after it and Jo essentially gets a massive personality change if you go from K1 to K2 or K2 to 3.

Ah crap, I forgot, replace any instance of "Hokuto no Ken" with "Hokuto Shinken", I forgot I made that dumb mistake.

Kiwami's is brutal with the truck, if you've made it to the truck with less than 90% health you basically need to pray he'll recoil back which seems to be entirely random. Remember that shooting at the center of the circle gives you critical damage, do not go for headshots. Also remember that you just need to take care of the guys on top of the trucks during the segments before that, the guys in the regular cars need to be shot but they infinitely respawn, so the quicker you take out the guy up top the better. The truck really is just luck, he has to recoil backwards at least once for you to win, and I can't remember if you wanted to poke your head out or stay in the car to tank the hit he deals, but you need to essentially have close to full health to survive it on Legend.

If you could have any Yakuza protags fighting style, complete with their physical strength and durability, which would you choose?

I like Majima's style for his snake like way of attacking and disarming people, but I think I prefer Kiryu, hes heavier, stronger, but still fast, and his heat moves are brutal

It's complete headcanon, but think about it, whenever Nishiki or Kiryu sung Jedgument, the other would be there, even if they sung alone. Fast forward to Kiwami, ten years of prison time and finding out Nishiki has turned into a completely different person and later dies how could Kiryu happily sing the same song he and his bro belted out together on drunken party nights. It makes even more sense since Tonight is all about Kiryu just reminiscing on him and Nishiki's adventures together.

Real Estate and Sunshine are roughly 6-10 hours long. You can make Real Estate fly by with Shakedown, same with Sunshine but Sunshine needs you to level your girls a bit as well.

It's an ideal starting point. Kiwami is a good starting point too, but Zero gives a lot of context to Kiwami, and gives you a chance to bond with characters and relationships, so story moments in Kiwami hit harder.

I haven't played Kiwami 2 yet and most likely won't be able to for quite some time. Give it to me straight, lads: how's Yuki in that game? I know she's aged into a fine cake, but how has she been? Is she running a cabaret club by herself? Has she kept in touch with the other girls from Sunshine, and are they (at least mentioned) in the game? Is she an actual christmas cake, as in unmarried and childless? Does she meet Majima at some point? Please tell me. I've grown to genuinely care about the Sunshine girls - Yuki most of all.

She is running the Four Shine, the club of the game, herself, as the owner. The other girls from Sunshine are not brought up or seen. She is unmarried and childless at 39. Majima and her do reunite at some point, and it's pretty great when he shows up and they have a little moment.

Play Kiwami and Kiwami 2 after as they have new scenes for people because they expect you to have played 0.

The PS4 port has way more content than the original PS3 English release had by far. The PS4 version removes about three substories but should end up adding roughly 20 because of what they cut out of the English release, removes a minigame (That wasn't in the English release anyway), and replaces the hostesses because of licensing issues. You can play the PS3 version if you feel like it, but it still has the localizations (Kazama = Fuma, The Florist = Kage, Mame = Rex, etc) and it's missing a decent chunk of content. At the end of the day it depends how patient you are since we have no clue on 3-5 PS4 coming over to the west yet and we probably won't hear anything until 5 releases in Japan but it should at least be safe to assume we'll get a retranslation of 3 due to how infamous it is for all the cut stuff.

Also, I don't think the PS3 emulator can handle the games besides Kenzan well enough yet. Kenzan's their priority right now.

When you're THAT big of a name, most guys, especially the more docile Japanese men, are too intimidated to even try, the only guys who probably would try an make a move are old folks and playboys, who Yuki would likely brush off their advances. Plus, as the owner of the Four Shine, she probably stays in the back a lot, so the customers don't notice how fucking smoking hot she is until she puts the dress on and gets back into the groove

I was working my way through the series and made it up to Dead Souls last October, at which point I lost all the drive to play.

Should I stick out through Dead Souls or just give up on it and write it off entirely? I'm still in Akiyama's part, I love seeing these characters in this situation but it's such a slog, does it get better?

It's uncomfortable but I felt like that was part of the point.
Haruka was literally the first female he had seen since the hit in 85, that's literally 25 years he had never seen a woman, of course he'd pounce on the first pussy he sees instinctively.

And by the end of the Grand Prix she has two girls who have girl-crushes on her, and as far as I am concerned, in steady communication with Majima since he is still acting as the ref and announcer for the Grand Prix by the end of that storyline.

Just get the handcanon (You can make the best one just from the DLC items) at Kamiyama's truck, get some sort of shotgun, and get a minigun of some kind. That's all you need to deal with everything in the game. Then you have to go get the one lime green talisman which I think is sold at Ebisu that makes aiming much slower but increases your blindfire accuracy by a ridiculous amount, then you just start mashing R1 when running around to deal with zombies. Use the shotgun for up close encounters with groups of zombies, use the minigun when you see a horde that's not compact enough for shotguns.

It has some funny substories that are worth dealing with the clunky gameplay for, but if you're not digging it you can always just skip past it. It's got a bunch of problems you have to put up with. At least try to get to Majima's part, he's got some pretty good cutscenes, and Ryuji himself has a neat little story.

In all seriousness, I legitimately prefer the way the PS2 cutscenes look over the Kiwami cutscenes.
If they had re-storyboarded and re-animated the cutscenes I would probably prefer Kiwami, but they didn't do either of that, so it's just PS2 animations in a game that can't capture the same atmosphere as the originals.

Pool is always filled with cheaters like that. Everyone plays like they've just retired from professional play and the game expects you to beat them in some cases like in 3 and Kiwami.

First time I did the pool date in 0 with a hostess I sunk the 9 on the break, which was the very first time I ever won pool in that game, and also got a perfect lesson thanks to it.

It doesn't though.
The unnecessarily bright lights whilst also being desaturated as fuck is something I hate.
It's like cel anime vs digital anime, except videogames shouldn't have this problem, the problem comes solely from the Kiwami team doing a sloppy job in terms of art direction, I didn't have this problem with Yakuza 0, 6, or Kiwami 2.

There's a high chance of fatigue if you play them one after the other. You really have to be in the mood for another game and even that might only carry you on fumes by the end of the second game. Try to space out the games by a couple of months if you can at the bare minimum, I've done two games in a row twice now (1 HD into 2 HD and then Kiwami into 6) and you just don't want to touch the games for a while after you've done that, at least in my experience.

I went right into Kiwami 2 after Zero and Kiwami, the gameplay is so different the fatigue didn't set in, and it helps that I don't plan on touching another game until 3 remaster comes to the west.

As much as I love Majima. Gotta say Kiryu since as the main main character, he's the strongest.

Depends on what you mean by stronger. Saejima is physically more powerful than Kiryu, but Kiryu mixes up speed and technique into his fighting style, which makes him the strongest combatant in the franchise.

Leading characters are idealized creations instead of face scanned.

Ability to win fights is what I mean. Kiryu already has enough upper body strength to life motorcycles over his head so I'd like the agility he has instead of the extra strength saejima has.

If you have to fight one of these three choices, which would it be
