Magnum Opus.
Magnum Opus
The only souls game I've played was Dark Souls 1 and I stopped in the first encounter with Capra Demon. I like the lore and the aesthetics of the game but honestly, I don't have the patience to go through all of those games. The one thing that made me regret not playing them before was watching the fight against soul of cinder, when Gwyn's theme starts playing in the boss' second phase. I think I robbed myself of that moment and I envy people who got to experience it first hand.
According to the man himself, this is his magnum opus.
I haven't gotten all the way through Bloodborne yet (currently playing it and taking my time, I'm in the woods right now) but so far I don't like it. I'm trying to decide if I dislike this one more than Dark Souls 3 or the other way around. Either way I don't like all the changes they made and I also don't have any attachment to the whole dark edgy Victorian setting/story.
Keep playing
I'll try but there's not really much more to look forward to (for me at least) since I'm not going to buy the DLC and the few weapons I don't have yet aren't ones I'm going to use. So all that can really change from here on are the areas/bosses.
Without giving much away the story/setting is about to take a twist you won't expect after the forest. Keep playing and see how you feel after that.
not him but i also didn't like bloodborne too much, and it only got worse as i went on. something about the world just makes it not very interesting and kind of repulsive.
I already know there are ayy lmaos if that's the twist. Kinda hard to avoid that stuff on Yea Forums.
wow the DLC is the best content in all of souls without a doubt
it's a good game but I could do without vial farming.
Decent souls game
based
You barely have to vial farm for a small portion of the game and even then it's just a quick run from the bridge to father G's cemetery
It'a quite baffling that people write that moment off as nothing but cheap fanservice. It's just another shining example of video games being able to make you feel things like nothing else due to the inherent value of interactivity.
It's a pointless mechanic. They make them so common that you pretty much don't need to farm for them, but you're still left feeling stressed out like you might run out some day. They might as well have just given you a free batch every time you came back from the dream.
eventually you run out and you want to get a stockpile going, or are you going to tell me you did the clocktower in one try with one set of vials?
It's a slow game user. BB was the first one I played and it took a very long time for it to grow on me but once I got passed the the forest boss it became way more fun. The forbidden woods is definitely the worst area in the game though.
Make sure you die to one of those lurchy dudes with the bags in cathedral ward to get to a secret area
Go through old yharnam and hemwick lane as well, do all this before or during the night time phase.
I already had a stockpile going but I did beat lady maria on the 2nd try in NG+
It's BB version of punishing you for dying too much. It's much easier to discover your route to get to a boss unscathed than prior Souls games. So the game has to have a way of punishing you for dying 20+ times to Ebriatas o something.
Yeah well thats just his opinion.
I don't like it
