At least it's better than nothing...

Apex is shit. Blackout is way better.

>unironically bragging about a dogshit ea hero shooter

Whats with all the shit in the background?

>webm conversion of Nintendo clips are a bitch
I love this game, but the 10% win rate I have shows I'll never be a Tetris god.

>Keep getting targeted by 5 people at a time and getting some much junk that a can't get rid of.
What can I do I'm not even bad and it happens in the first minute sometimes?

Tilt the right stick down and fuck them all up

Set to attackers and just throw lines out there as fast as possible. The more they target the more you can harass, delay the timer for the blocks to come, giving you breathing room to get your stack down so you can actually clear that garbage, and possibly clear some of the oncoming garbage with a combo, T-Spin or a Tetris.
Kill them before they can kill you. Kill enough and the rest will likely back off.
Also if your board is flashing red it means you will die if the whole stack resolves. But if you can get it down so it stops flashing, it means you'll survive the stockpile.

Why is blue L such a nigger?

>tfw the closest I got was number 4

I suck at tetris too much. I don't know how to T spin combos fast enough or react fast enough when blocks start insta dropping.

The way people attack you by spawning the gray lines gives me Nyet III vibes.

When block start instadropping you need to adapt a little bit. Rotation is your friend. You can keep moving a rotating a piece for a second or so, if you do it fast enough, sometimes a piece can "climb" up a stack to a gap it needs to go into.
You need to quickly put it in a half-decent place if you can't fit it neatly in the tower.
Like L blocks for instance. You can place them lengthways over a gap both upside down and normally to clear a line or to make it easier to clear that line on the other side.
Empty space can be as much of a friend as a foe. Sometimes you WANT to leave space so that you can fit a certain piece in you wouldn't be able to otherwise and get stuck into a line loop (keep accidentally covering up the holes you need to fill because you place pieces you perceive to fit at the time when you actually need a different piece there. It's a symptom of playing too safe and tidy)
The biggest thing to consider as you try to clear your stack is when you clear that line, are you leaving the next one open enough to clear it and reduce the pile down. Sometimes if you don't have the right piece is to not hesitate and put the wrong piece in a way so you can quickly clear and reposition the gaps in the stack to something you CAN now clear.
Fucking up at that speed is unavoidable unless you are used to playing even faster then that. you have to immediately own that mistake and go about fixing it immediately rather than get flustered. A comeback is usually possible depending on your opponent's aggression.

Other players.

>accidentally do a hard drop when I don't mean to
>oh well I should be good, just need to clear it out and fix it
>10 people target me suddenly

Don’t build up stupid

>tfw you fix the problem pretty quickly and take their garbage and then do a combo to fling it back at them.
FUCK YOU. FUCK YOU. FUCK YOU. FUCK YOU. FUCK YOU.
K.O, K.O, K.O, K.O
>Pause
K.O

>not owning both
are you fucking poor?

i want to play tetris on my ps4.....

>Fps on console

Puyo Tetris and Tetris Effect are both good.

i will probable get puyo.
as for tetris effect, i say i want tetris,no the cousin who think he is cool because he use drugs

apex on pc though

Shit son what are you doing. In multiplayer tetris combos are more important than tetrises. that webm is a lucky dude with what a shit way he builds.

How the fuck are you supposed to know how many people are targeting the person you are? It feels like the best strategy is to just hope a bunch of people target you so you can fill their entire board in a couple of moves.

BINGBINGBINGBINGBINGBINGBING
>Bumblebee starts playing
>jap dude combos your ass dude
>you fuck up over yourself
>2nd place

Actually. I was trying to setup a T-Spin into Tetris combo (hence why I left that Y open) but I kind of fucked up my placement with that piece that flew down before I could change it to the O and place it there for the upcoming T block. But I still could have had a three combo off that tetris afterwards with those next two pieces. Maybe single lines but would have hit for a few a piece due to it being a combo.
And I was waiting to see if the opponent would counter after that combo too. All I had to continue that first combo was a L piece, but then I'd have no follow-up and no way to quickly clear my stack if he sent garbage.
I didn't play at my very best, but not for the reason you think.

Man I've had that happen way too many times. The Switch's tiny joycon buttons are a harsh mistress. Even a slight brush of the key in the middle of a thought is counted.
Usually though, its my own fault either playing too safe and not going for a quick T-spin double to keep the pressure off and instead clearing my garbage, or just clearing lines in the wrong order and getting punished for it.
Some people have the ultra instinct, some people just have the regular one with all its flaws.

>blocks your path
>proceeds to top the leaderboard in your game

Nothing personal, kid

And trust me on this. I have lost so many times because I cleared my board down too early with a big combo and have no pieces to clear lines with so some jap throws a wombo combo at me for an entire board's worth of lines and I've got no counter because what's left I can't arrange into a T-spin or build quickly from it into something I can combo with.
Also you do realise that grey blocks are garbage from the opponent and, had I not paused for that instant at the start of the webm to look at the upcoming pieces and changed my mind, I would have lost because I wouldn't have the right gaps in line for the combo to work.

What are some tips boys?
Addicted to this game, but stuck in old fashioned tetris ways.
Building on the right side, leaving one slot for line pieces, etc.
Also difficult focusing on other players/switching targets
Help.

He's a washed out fat nerd, not even GM anymore

what I've been doing lately and works is start with KO, grab at least one badge and then concentrate on attackers
the ideal way to play is early mid game concentrate on tetris or T spins for damage and leave the end game for cleaning dirt back as a counter, but in the end the way you feel most confortable playing is always the right one

If you see a player flashing red, change to KO and get yourself some badges
Don't rely on tetrises, create gaps for singles or doubles in case you get targeted and properly counter by targetting attackers
Once you reach top 50, start hunting for badges. Once you get top 10, go full aggresive on potential KOs

There's an expiration date on that title? He literally achieved it in a TGMIII cab

Attached: 1453730819607.jpg (1936x1693, 897K)

And then he got demoted to fucking m9

best i've got was 8th. the game before i was hard dropping like crazy in the first minute and felt like i was being targeted a shit ton. the 8th place go i felt like i could take my time.
i dont get it

What’s so good about having badges?

It's a damage multiplier I think

Gives you killpower and better defense

when you get a full badge it boosts the amount of damage/dirt lines when you attack the others

Based Accursed Farms poster

Oh. I didn’t know this
I somehow got 1st place on my second match after only KOing two other players

Nintendo fags are obligated to defend Tetris99 because it's tied to their cuck suscription meanwhile u can play Apex for free and without subscription on the other platforms.

>Unironically playing Apex on console
Why would you willingly admit to being that much of a pathetic poorfaggot, do you have no shame?

kys memespeaking faggot

I would play apex on switch fortnite wasnt to bad.

fpwp

line bars are a crutch for kids who havent figured out how the other shapes fit together yet.

Eat shit and die wojak spamming console war starting faggot

Glad to see Arika can still make good Tetris games.
Now TGM4 fucking when

Who else here has at least one first place finish under their belt?

>release a game
>don't include a how to play

what the fuck is even going on in this, one minute i'm doing fine the next my screen is 80% filled with grey squares, how am I supposed to keep an eye on 99 other tiny screens

you don't

You can either win the battle aggresively or wait until the rest kill each other and finish the last guy

tf is a t spin double

Hey were you the guy that posted the knock knock Nintendo bitches image?
you better have gotten that deep fried smash ultimate since the last time I asked

When you spin the T into a tight space as if it had Parkinson while clearing 2 lines

I feel like sometimes I just get fucked out of nowhere and have like 7 rows come out of nowhere and there’s nothing I can do about it. I’d much rather play regular Tetris or Tetris Effect or something

I don’t think I even finished him. Everyone around me in the last 5 just kinda killed themselves I think. I dont think I would have been able to do much with only 2 KOs worth of badges
Guess I got lucky
