Sort of, no actual Co-Op in the game (at least yet), by playing DMC5 you will see what Nero and V are doing during a mission where the characters are close or are interacting with each other, if you are online then those encounters will be recorded actions of real players, if not they will be CPU actons.

Yamato, it has the power to cut ANYTHING. Even separating aspects of a person. Vergil used it to seperate his demonic power from his human half, the same way that Sparda apparently separated the majority of his power into Force Edge.

This created the demonic Urizen, who is Vergil's out of control demonic power that is under Mundus' corruptive influence and V, his human half. V's plan was to kill Urizen, which would purge the Mundus corruption and bring Vergil back healthy, but Urizen hooked himself up to the Qlipoth for more power and woke up sooner then V had planned.

Nero and Dante apparently haven't really changed much from 4. Difficulty is still good though and the final boss hits like a truck even on Easy. It's confirmed that difficulty increases enemy aggression heavily and gives new moves to enemies like always.

That's good. I know it was easy for V since he can spam gun and sword moves and he can build up DT quick. What's weird is that V should have a harder time on higher difficulties because of the enemy aggression. Most of the footage we've seen were in DH and V was having trouble dealing with enemies since he's more of a caster.

The issue for V on higher difficulties is that enemies target him more instead of his summons, but if you can stun lock enemies, then just like with Vergil you can just dish out the damage really quickly, since you aren't limited by using gun or sword at once. I'm sure DT enemies will fix this somewhat and force him to be more defensive.

Reposting my theory:
V's body was a vessel created by Mundus for himself. After his defeat in DMC1, Vergil cucks him out of his vessel somehow to chase down his corrupted body who has gained an ego of it's own and enough power to become Urizen by DMC5. It would explain why V summons demons from DMC1, and it gives Vergil revenge on Mundus while absolving him of Urizen's actions.

Extra theory:
V's book belonged to Arkham, and that's where Mundus trapped his human soul after the events of DMC3.

Anyway, Mundus has created clones and vessels before, and if Vergil's soul is really in the book and the body was a clone/vessel, then there's no reason for V's body to disappear. He could become his own character if over the course of the game he develops his own ego.

Is it your first time playing? I only finished all the games around last November, I had more difficulty with Vergil 2. I struggled a lot with Nero at first since he's got fuck all moves to start but by the end I enjoyed using him just as much, maybe even more then Dante.
